I was worried because there are many bad reviews. It turned out it wasn't that bad, though I doubt if it is worth the high price overall. The location is good, conveniently located near Kitahama bus service centre and Beppu Station. Locating the entrance is a challenge, especially when you are with luggage. The hotel staff a nice, but I can picture that if you dun speak a bit of Japanese, it might be a bit hard to communicate with the staff. The overall environment is nice, clean room and nice private onsen bath. A curtain is appropriate in the balcony for more privacy. It is a bit dark, both inside the room and in the corridor. Dining is nice, great food. know it's a common practice to have set time for dinner and breakfast, but as a first time visitor to Oita, the 5:30pm dinner time was too early for me. However, the 7:30pm was fully booked on my first day of visit. Breakfast started at 7:30 and it's too late for me to catch the train so I can visit Harmonyland. There could be more flexibility for dining options and time, considering the high price guests are charged. There are many activities and I love the outdoor footbath and the free coffee and tea service at the travelers' library. I would still recommend the hotel to visitors to Beppu.

The room with the onsen was convenient and offered a great experience. It was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases, and the futon was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as well. A wonderful place to stay! The staff was amazing, reaching out a week before our check-in to ask about our group and dinner preferences. We were so happy with our stay. Thank you, Sanso Kannawaen, for taking such great care of us!

Abbiamo avuto un buon soggiorno di 2 notti in questo Ryokan. Situato vicino al villaggio floreale Yufuin, e a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalla stazione Yufuin JR. È stato un bel passo alla stazione Yufuin JR, poiché ci sono molti negozi e cibo che si può visitare lungo la strada. Altrimenti, ci sono anche autobus 36 da Yufuin ma terminale che si fermerebbe vicino al ryokan. Il personale era davvero eccellente, amichevole e utile. Quando arrivammo, alcuni di loro si precipitarono a aiutarci con il bagaglio e a proteggerci dalla pioggia. Durante tutta la permanenza, ci fecero sentire molto benvenuti. La stanza occidentale/giapponese che abbiamo prenotato era molto spaziosa e disponeva di tutte le attrezzature necessarie. Si noti che questo è un alloggio 2 - livello 1 ha un bagno con bagno privato e fuori e la sala da soggiorno, mentre livello 2 ha un bagno (w/o bagno) e 1 camera da letto occidentale e 1 camera da letto giapponese. Nel ryokan ci sono 4 stronzate pubbliche, 2 per donne e 2 per uomini. Loro lo girerebbero durante il giorno e la notte per permettere a tutti di provare le diverse stronzate. Abbiamo anche il nostro colazione e cena al ryokan come parte del pacchetto. I piatti erano diversi in entrambi i giorni. La diffusione era enorme e il cibo era buono. Nota che ci sono pochi posti aperti a Yufuin durante il pranzo.

The hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected. We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi. For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring. There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more

酒店很漂亮，房間也很大，我訂的還有私湯確實很享受。最驚喜的是晚餐，本以為就是個定食，結果沒想到非常豐富，類似於懷石料理，不僅有各類刺身還有小火鍋，和牛燒烤，甜品等，吃到最後真的很撐，感覺房間價格瞬間一半**了哈哈。第二天早餐是日式的也很不錯。 缺點：酒店周邊真的交通和生活不便，衹能選擇酒店餐飲，門口連便利店都沒有的。酒店服務員人手有點緊張前台經常沒人。大堂內的取暖設施是明火，雖然碰不到裏面的火，但外面的架子是燙的，小朋友容易誤傷這個尤其要注意。 我們有私湯的房間在三樓，沒有電梯，需要自己抬行李上山，如果沒有男士同行，真的會很累。 這個酒店客房大概有30間，屬於由布院比較大的了，位置離由布院火車站有一段距離的，行李多的話還是建議打車，我們大概走了20+分鐘才到，主要有上山的路行李箱不太好推。

Although it's not super close to the main area, you get lots of peace and tranquility in exchange. If you plan to walk to the hotel from the train station, be prepared for a hike uphill. The private bath outside our room was the highlight. The hot springs water is a continuous flow to maintain the temperature at all times, but they also added a cold water tap in case you need to adjust the water temperature. The room and bathroom were extremely spacious. Our breakfast and dinner were included and were eaten in private rooms in the main building. Both meals were delicious.

Abbiamo scelto questo splendido Ryokan perché dopo un mese di bagaglio in Giappone abbiamo sentito come un trattamento per finire il nostro viaggio. Era un bel posto per riflettere sulle nostre avventure. Abbiamo assunto una macchina per esplorare la regione e andare in città quando volevamo (è situato circa 3 km da città su una collina). Abbiamo comprato una bottiglia di vino e snack nel supermercato locale e abbiamo goduto un bicchiere ogni sera nel giardino. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto sperimentare il loro ristorante, perché non avevano visto il nostro email chiedere questo; ma abbiamo trovato un bel ristorante e un bel caffè, invece. Le fonti calde erano davvero 🥵 ma grandi per le nostre dolori. Si consiglia di riunire con i vostri amanti come un bel posto privato, un luogo fantastico per un matrimonio, come tutti sarebbero insieme e i giardini sono così tranquilli.
