Hotel a 5 stelle in Queensland, Australia

The hotel is in a very convenient location, making it easy to travel around and access nearby attractions. The atmosphere is really pleasant and relaxing, perfect for a comfortable stay. The rooms and facilities are very clean and well maintained, which made me feel at ease throughout my visit. Overall, it was a great experience.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

The hotel is right in front of the beach and also a short walk to the shopping centre. The room is spacious and has a nice seaview. The gym is a bit small but there are an outdoor and indoor pool and spa which are really nice. The service staffs were polite, smiley and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

The jacuzzi and sauna at the Marriott were truly excellent! However, the phone in the room didn’t work, the bathroom drain was prone to clogging, and the drain in the washbasin was stuck closed. Also, there was a connecting door to the next room, so the noise from the neighboring guests was extremely loud and made the stay difficult.

Very close to the Fortitue valley bar area. Pool is small on the roof top so it’s not heated. Generally quite good. Not exactly located at the central CBD.

A totally perfect stay, from the moment of checking in to the day of returning home.  Nice room, nice people, nice restaurants… just everything so great!!

Room is very big and with a open kitchen. The room and facility is very new. The hotel staffs are also very friendly and responsive. The location is also very good and just next to the beach. There is also 5mins walk from the tram station. Overall I have a very nice and relaxing stay here, and I will visit the hotel again.

L'hotel sembra nuovo e si trova in una posizione molto comoda. È molto vicino al molo della Grande Barriera Corallina, a soli sette minuti a piedi, e la camera offre una vista sull'oceano. Accanto c'è un delizioso ristorante vietnamita che serve pho e c'è un mercato notturno proprio accanto. Il problema principale di questo hotel è il forte odore di muffa, che si nota immediatamente fin dal momento in cui si entra nella hall. Sebbene il servizio fosse eccellente, la camera che ci è stata assegnata inizialmente era estremamente stantia e senza finestre. Dopo averlo segnalato alla reception, la signora ci ha immediatamente cambiato camera e ci ha offerto gratuitamente un upgrade a una con balcone. La nuova camera aveva ancora un odore di muffa, ma la situazione era notevolmente migliorata grazie alla ventilazione. Per motivi di salute, non consiglierei più questo hotel.

Prezzo: circa 200 AUD a notte, colazione inclusa. Servizi: L'hotel è piuttosto nuovo, e le sue dotazioni smart sono in linea con quelle degli altri hotel australiani. Gli articoli da bagno sono adeguati al prezzo. Ci sono una sauna gratuita, una palestra (con power rack, manubri, kettlebell, varie macchine cardio e docce) e una piscina (l'acqua sembrava pulita, ma non ci ho nuotato). Igiene: Eccellente, anche la biancheria da letto era molto pulita. Posizione: Vicino a Central, la zona è molto sicura. Servizio: La colazione, che costa circa 30 AUD, è a buffet e offre tutto il necessario. È possibile ordinare uova alla carta (quelle normali sono gratuite, quelle speciali costano qualche AUD in più). Molto conveniente. Anche il rifornimento degli articoli da bagno e il servizio in camera sono buoni.

Permettetemi di iniziare dicendo questo posto sembra un resort a cinque stelle, e sinceramente, è quasi tirando fuori. Dal desk front to the landscape, the vibes are immaculate. Reception staff? Absolute pros. Caldo, efficiente, e benvenuto. L'hotel stesso?Gloriavole.I terreni? Pristina.Non può essere detto che il posto è davvero bello! Ma poi... la custodia ha entrato nel chat. Non so se fossero a corto raggio o semplicemente spiritualmente opposti alla coerenza, ma la pulizia era meno “sorveglianza accurata” e più “suggerimento vago”. Ogni giorno era un nuovo episodio di Cosa si dimenticano di questa volta? Asciugamani? Forse. Chi lo sa.Sapone? E' un lusso solo martedì, a quanto pare. Un giorno il letto è stato fatto, ma i bagni e gli specchi non erano stati chiaramente toccati. Un altro giorno, hanno lasciato le loro forniture di pulizia nella bagno, almeno un po' di sforzo è stato fatto, suppongo? Il pavimento della doccia era sempre sabbioso, un affascinante piccolo ecosistema di anatre, che si trovava in campeggio nella nostra cucina, e la grande finale: tornammo da un giorno, esplorando l’incredibile Daintree, per trovare la nostra porta aperta a sinistra. Grazie, custode. E' davvero inoltrabile. Al giorno 5 non ero nemmeno arrabbiato, ero investito. Era questa arte di performance? Eravamo parte di un esperimento sociale? E' questo il modo in cui comincia il minimalismo? Quindi sì, hotel stupendo, un desk front, ma manutenzione?Shithouse! I ciechi sono ricci nelle stanze e nessuna cortina per la vita privata. Potrei tornare?Forse.Ma sto portando i miei asciugamani.E un pupazzo.
