Hotel a 3 stelle in Cumbria, Regno Unito

We checked in late night, witn a car. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Room is as described. Heating was cranked up which we appreciated, but also had windows we could open. Great doorway location to the rest of the lake district. Very happy with our 1 night stay.

I have grave misgivings about hotels in the busiest parts of the Lake District, especially at holiday times. Obviously they will be relentlessly overcrowded, with harassed and unfriendly staff. I’ve wanted to go back to the Proper Lake District for a while though so took a risk on the King’s Head. It’s easy to find on the ear popping main road up from Grasmere, just beyond the impressive hulk of Steel Fell, close to Thirlemere. Parking anywhere in the Lakes is hideous and expensive. Not here. Relaxed and plenty of room. It’s a long building with a pleasant bar restaurant area and beer garden. I found a rather pleasant residents lounge where a lady called Jo checked me in and made me feel welcome. It does get busy with passing trade but the staff look after their residents. They flogged me decent real ale and Jura whisky (the proper stuff). Breakfast is briskly table served from a menu and is well presented. I didn’t eat otherwise there but the food is popular and well priced. The road outside is busy and a bit of a racetrack, and the occasional fighter jet roars between the mountains on low altitude practice, but the relentless bleating of the sheep opposite soon returns things to normal. I was a little sorry to depart, but the manager said he hoped I would come again. I believe I will, and will even bring my wife.

La stazione ferroviaria e il centro della città possono camminare. La stanza è molto pulita. La colazione sarà inviata alla stanza secondo il tempo stabilito. Le uova hanno diversi metodi di scelta. Ho scelto uova di guancia e latte di grano caldo, che è molto adatto alla china.A Windermere e Keswich hanno autobus diretti.

I arrived on a stormy night in the lake district - on entering the hotel I was met with a warm glow from the log fire and a very warm welcome from the receptionist. As the hotel dining room was about to close, a room was sorted and the kitchen kept open for an evening meal - a delicious melt in the mouth steak was a pleasure after a 6 hour drive from the south of england, washed down with a welcome glass of Shiraz. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a large bath and separate shower cubicle and copious hot water. The decor and fittings were in sympathy with the age and history of the hotel, a pleasant change from the blandness of more modern mass market hotels. The staff were very friendly and it was a pleasure to be assisted without having to use automated impersonal systems. I will not hesitate to stay at the hotel again when I am next in the area.

La stanza era una buona dimensione. Piena di parcheggio disponibile. Piscina era bella. Bella vista sul lago dai giardini. Molto amichevole personale. Bella cibo. Piatti piacevoli. Il soggiorno era rilassante con un divano bello. Alcune questioni minori: Mancanza di pressione del doccia, il bagno non fluisce correttamente, il sangue è stato messo in tappeto sul pavimento del bagno, ha preso età per ottenere acqua calda per il doccia

Senza dubbio, ho avuto un ottimo soggiorno, il George è unico Mentre, con un aspetto senza tempo, un magnifico edificio storico, ha caratteristiche moderne, e aspetti, che lo rendono molto confortevole. La migliore esperienza dell'hotel, ho avuto per anni, sono ansiosa di rimanere di nuovo, un fine perfetto per me La pausa di Natale.

Facilità: bene Salute: pulito Ambiente: sicurezza Servizio: bene Si consiglia un posto molto buono!Non perdere Spero di avere l'opportunità di tornare.La posizione è molto conveniente con un parcheggio. Comforte e buona esperienza

L'hotel è molto meglio della maggior parte dell'hotel Holiday Inn, ma il colazione era inferiore alla media. 

Molto vecchio guardando abbassare ha bisogno di decorare da top a bottom ..... Uccidendo 5 fughe nel mio letto non è un posto pulito . Sulla parte più il cibo. la cena sera era buon colazione era fab .... Il divertimento era buono. Il bar era occupato danzando persone tutta la notte ognuno gode il proprio self’s 

The hotel I was originally booked in had a flood so at the last minute I had to find another one, I found  Arkale lodge and it didn’t disappoint, the rooms are pretty basic, but extremely clean which  in my book is more important than a fancy room. And certainly good enough for the price I paid, the gentleman that showed me around was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was from 7 which was perfect for my continuation of my Hadrians wall walk. The Breakfast was included in the room price and was exceptional (full English, which I easily adapted as a non meat eater)  It was plentiful, delicious and freshly made. And a great start to my long tiring day  Thank You so Much  For your kind hospitality  Cathie :)
