An easy access to anywhere with just a minute walk to the east exit of Takasaki Station! Great for your business and leisure!

La stanza è spaziale per il tasso che abbiamo pagato, ma non può essere progettata meglio per l'uso dello spazio.

Fantastico
JJoeTmStayed for 2 nights in early Dec 2024. Booked the mountain view twin room with cypress bath which comes with both dinner and breakfast.
The ryokan styled hotel is located diagonally opposite from the shibukawa bus stop and about 5 mins walk (turn right from the hotel) to the Ikaho stone steps around the mid section of the steps.
The hotel is old ryokan style but well maintained and does not see much wear and tear. The lobby which is on the 3rd floor (ground level) is big. No shoes allowed in the hotel, guests have to deposit their shoes at the entrance. Staff were all friendly and polite though not all can speak well in English. They do go much more to make you feel at home. Yutaka is provided at the lobby.
My room which is located on the 4th floor corner is considered big. Old styled ryokan kind of design but with western bed. Though the room is laid with tatami on the floor but can still hear people walking if they area heavy or run. Corridor noise does filter in as well but muffled. Unblocked view of the mountain as the hotel sits on an elevated hill. I would recommend to stay with mountain view. The cypress bath can fit 2 person but takes a while to fill, I rather go to the public onsen. Besides the usual amenities, they even provide face wash, face moisturiser, etc in the room. Safe box is provided in the room as well. Wifi seems weak. No place in the bathroom however to hang your clothes or towel.
There is an indoor onsen on the first floor and an outdoor one on the 8th floor. The onsen are gender separated. They rotate the male and female onsen on the first floor though both has the same look and facilities. The onsen on the 8th floor has a nice view of the city but no shower facilities. There is a massage chair on the first floor as well.
Breakfast and dinner are served on the 2nd floor. I would not say that this is the best, but definitely delicious and sufficient.
Check in at 3 pm and check out at 10am which I find a bit too early. Hope they can consider to extend.
Overall I would recommend this place to stay if you are coming to ikaho.

JJosi e JoEsperienza favolosa che ha confermato le nostre aspettative e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di viverla durante il foliage con dei colori pazzeschi
Il personale, gentilissimo, ci ha fornito degli yucata stupendi che ci hanno permesso di immergerci pienamente nel fascino antico di questo ryokan.
La nostra camera era angolare, veramente grande e con vista sul torrente fantastica. La cena e la colazione sono stati ottimi e con svariate pietanze presentate magnificamente. Hanno soddisfatto anche la mia richiesta di non mangiare pesce.
Infine, immergerci nelle acque calde dell'onsen di notte è stato veramente magico.

IIrisIl personale dell'hotel è stato molto bello e utile. Conveniente al centro di yukatake, molti ristoranti vicino. Ci sono altri 2 hotel sorelle che si può godere liberamente il Onsen.

Un membro del personale è corso fuori e ci ha chiesto se avremmo soggiornato al Ryokan. Molto utile per i viaggiatori smarriti e sopraffatti dal freddo. Ci hanno accolto calorosamente al nostro arrivo. Ci hanno spiegato le informazioni importanti nel miglior modo possibile in inglese, il che è perfetto.
La camera era spaziosa. Arredata meticolosamente in stile tradizionale giapponese. Yukata e Obi forniti hanno reso l'esperienza ancora più immersiva.
La cena è stata squisita. I piatti ci hanno dato un assaggio della cucina tradizionale giapponese. Il cibo era genuino (non sembrava cibo surgelato/in scatola/preparato), servito e impiattato con cura.
C'erano 2 onsen, uno interno e uno esterno. Erano puliti e abbastanza spaziosi. L'acqua (credo) provenga dalla vicina sorgente termale ed è immensamente terapeutica.
Il Ryokan era vicino al cuore della città e tutto era raggiungibile a piedi.
Ci hanno gentilmente accompagnato al terminal degli autobus al momento del check-out (non abbiamo dovuto aspettare orari fissi) e hanno trasportato i nostri bagagli (pesanti).
Nel complesso, abbiamo apprezzato molto il nostro soggiorno di una notte e hanno fissato un livello elevato per l'ospitalità giapponese.

LLim familyIt’s a bit hard to get to the hotel from bus terminal if u have luggage with u as it’s a downslope to get to the hotel. There’s also isn’t any lift in the hotel so we have to carry our luggage up to the second floor. We realised when we checked out that there’s actually locker for the luggage at the ground floor. There’s only one type of water in their public onsen which is kind of disappointing as we have high expectations since it is an onsen town. The onsen water however is good. We do feel some difference before and after onsen. There’s also free coffee & hot chocolate drinks right outside the onsen area. It would be better if there’s ice water in the onsen area as the water can get very hot & especially when there’s no cold tub there. The room however is spacious with comfortable bed. There’s also a foot bath located at the ground floor of the hotel right beside the breakfast area.

UUtente ospiteIl personale qui era sorprendente. Il servizio era eccezionale e la sanità era anche molto buona. Non solo questo, ma il cibo non era solo buono, ma offre anche una sorprendente esperienza nelle profondità della cucina giapponese. Raccomanderò a chiunque venga qui se cerca una rapida e facile notte di riposo vicino al trasporto.

JJoycewee0206Considerando che l'hotel è un po' vecchio, le 3 stelle per la pulizia si riferiscono alla vecchia struttura del Guy Side Onsen. Non è ben tenuta e tutto sembra vecchio. È a 10 minuti a piedi dal terminal degli autobus e altri 5-6 minuti da Yubatake. Un punto bonus è il trasferimento gratuito da/per Daitokon con gli orari degli autobus molto precisi.
La camera è pulita, ma tieni presente che non è un hotel per non fumatori, quindi potresti sentire odore di sigaretta in camera. Fortunatamente, la nostra camera è buona.
Nel complesso siamo soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno al Kusatsu Onsen Resort.

PPY WONG The TravellerThe surroundings are exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for relaxation or even a bit of meditation. It may not be the best choice for families with children, as there are very limited amenities catered for them.
Service, however, was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — when my rental car had a brake light issue, they noticed it before I did, stepped in to assist, contacted the rental company, and ensured it was resolved the very next morning. That level of attentiveness is rare.
Location-wise, it is quite remote. There’s little within walking distance, so getting around or finding food requires some planning. But if you’re here for peace and an onsen experience, that quiet isolation becomes part of the appeal.
A memorable stay overall, especially for those seeking calm, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

LLizchen SunОтличное местоположение прям рядом с автобусной станцией, в этом же здании есть магазин. при этом вход скрыт в переулке и сохраняется уединение. На ресепшене встретила приятная приветливая девушка, принести в номер чай. предоставляют юаката и очень красивые хаори. Отличный завтрак приносят в номер, все очень вкусно. Онсен небольшой, но и номеров в отеле немного, мы были вдвоем и ни с кем из других постояльцев даже не пересеклись в онсене. Все было чудесно.

UUtente ospiteSiamo arrivati presto (verso le 11:00) al ryokan e siamo stati accolti da una giovane receptionist molto disponibile che parlava un buon inglese. Ha preso i nostri bagagli, ci ha prenotato una camera al piano terra (mia moglie ha difficoltà a salire le scale) e ci ha consigliato dove mangiare e cosa fare. La camera era pulita e spaziosa. Il letto era comodo. Il ryokan ha offerto una semplice colazione a buffet (con nostra grande sorpresa e gioia). Si trova a breve distanza dallo Yubatake ed è molto comodo. Nel complesso, siamo molto soddisfatti del ryokan.
