We recently stayed at a hotel right outside the 南门of the Ancient City, and its location couldn't have been more convenient. Given how jammed Dali can get, walking was the best option, and this hotel’s location made it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot.
The staff here is simply the best I’ve ever encountered. I had many parcels delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and they not only managed all of them seamlessly but also offered to send out additional parcels on my behalf. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they attended to our requests promptly and always with a smile. Their dedication to going above and beyond was truly impressive.
The staff also provided excellent recommendations for food and activities nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views of 苍山 were amazing. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!

I had enjoyed my stay at Dali Ancient Luchun Hotel extremely much due to the excellent service. They really weren’t lying about the Haidilao-style service.
Their front desk personnel manning the Wechat (慕雅) was extremely responsive and helpful when it came to my requests. The lobby staff were also very helpful in delivering stuff to my room and when I was carrying luggages, they ran forward and assisted me immediately.
The services at this hotel were also unique and special: warm milk delivery daily (so that you can sleep) and free pick-up to and from the Ancient City and also to the airport/railway.
Nearby (10 minutes walk) there is also street food that tastes amazing and is value for money.
Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for stellar service and helpful staff and I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I had the chance to visit Dali.

Shop owner is really very helpful, suggested us tourist spots (which is really a steal, and amazing) and even helped us arrange and book for it. (Because we didn’t do much research before coming)
And allowed my bro for late check out as he had food poisoning and had to rest in room.
He even went all the way to accompany us to wait for car (he booked car for us as well) when we were late for our train.

Il personale e il servizio erano davvero incredibilmente amichevoli e hanno provato il loro meglio per rendere il nostro soggiorno il più buon possibile. Important tip: Dali's cobblestone streets can be challenging for luggage, so be sure to call the hotel in advance to arrange for their free pickup service.
Upon arrival, we were treated to a delightful tea break, complete with fresh fruits and fragrant rose tea. Witnessing the chef meticulously prepare the fruit platter for 30 minutes was a testament to the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to excellence. It's clear that every aspect of our stay was crafted with love.
The hotel offers thoughtful amenities, including:
- Photography package for capturing memories
- Nighttime milk service, delivering warm milk to your doorstep before bed
- Cozy library with an impressive selection of adult fiction, non-fiction, and children's books
Near the hotel, there are live singing performances in the evenings, featuring talented vocalists performing ********* and Chinese classics (we enjoyed listening from the comfort of our room!)

UUtente ospiteJust spent a wonderful five nights at the Anyu Hotel in Dali in November, this beautifully appointed boutique hotel was so charming. From the warm lights, to the rich hardwood floors, ceilings, and furniture to all the thoughtful accents in the room and common areas, it felt like a charming and cozy home away from home.
Hotel location is fantastic, just steps away from the Dali Ancient Town, so everything from cafes, top restaurants, pharmacies, markets, bars, and hundreds of other stores and outdoor vendors are just a 2-10 minute walk away, no need to sit in traffic or call a car to get around.
Bed and pillows very comfortable, showerhead very powerful so makes for a very luxurious shower.
However, the best thing about the hotel is their warm and caring staff.
Nancy, one of the cleaning staff, was always super helpful and attentive and delightful to chat with, and was also kind enough to give us some great recommendations on places to visit which we ended up enjoying very much.
Anna was also very nice to interact with, her gentle and pleasant demeanor and thoughtful words always made it a pleasure to see her.
Candy was wonderful as well, always making sure we were attended to and ended up making some great recommendations on places to eat nearby. Her warm smile and kind demeanor will be remembered.
Finally, it was Vivian who we owe a deep debt of gratitude to. On the first day, my 84-year old Mom came down with an illness which included all sorts of symptoms. Vivian went out of her way to call a car and she accompanied us to the nearest hospital where she helped us fill out all the necessary paperwork and stayed by Mom's side for over an hour as we waited to see a doctor. Medication was prescribed and she called another car to take us back to the hotel while she went to a nearby pharmacy to pick up the medication for us which she then brought back to the hotel. By then it was well into the night and she had even taken us to the hospital when she was already off work, so this was all on her own time.
My Mom ended up making a recovery in large part to Vivian's quick and incredibly kind actions. She really went above and beyond and we are just so grateful to her and Anyu Hotel for helping to save my Mom.
Vivian was also an absolute pleasure to talk to as she always came over to greet us and chat everyday during our stay. Her warm smile, cheerful disposition, and charismatic yet humble personality always made every interaction a real pleasure. The hospitality we experienced from her will never be forgotten and feel very fortunate to have met someone with such a kind heart and also very high EQ and dedication. We know if we had stayed at a different hotel there is no way we would have experienced this level of hospitality so we are deeply appreciative for Vivian and the entire staff at Anyu for making our trip one that won't be forgotten.

TT.W.LBooked the family room at courtyard level as I had elderly and wanted an accommodation which is easy to access. I also did not want to be hoisting luggages up and down and over cobbled streets in the old town and somewhere along the city wall so it is easy to start our tour of the sights around Dali in the morning.
Room: Simple efficient clean layout with open concept. Rooms are relatively new. Sink area is located outside the bathroom which is good. The beds are hard in my opinion but elder felt the bed was comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday (left outside our door). Room Temperature control was ok and the hot water for the shower heated up quick and could maintain at a stable level which is a plus unlike some other hotels in Yunnan.
There is flight of 3-4 steps to room which is manageable for our elder as the room is slightly raised above the courtyard. We had an early check-in as the room was ready. The staff helped us move the luggages to our room. You could also book the entire courtyard for larger groups. The owner is building additional new rooms in the annex but the construction happens during the day and it is not noisy as most guests would be out.
Location:
It is near the South Gate (there is a local market nearby check the maps or ask the owner) and our local driver could stop right outside our accommodation.
We didn’t get breakfast from the bnb as there were food shops offering noodles, congee and fried dumplings around that open early at 7am. You can also make your way to the local market near the gate. You could also go up the South Gate for free to catch the sunrise or sunset view.
Touring around Dali
If you can comms in Chinese, you could message the owner ahead to assist to arrange for a car transfer from Dali Fengyi Airport or the Dali Railway station to the BnB. It cost RMB50 for us from the Railway station to the BnB. You could also arrange with him for a day driver to take you around the sight seeing places around Dali /Erhai Lake, Mt Cang or a driver to send you to Lijiang. We felt was more efficient and relaxing with an elder. It took ~3h drive instead of travelling south to the Dali train station to ride the train to Lijiang and finding a cab from Lijiang railway to the old Lijiang ancient city.
You could also easily catch a Didi or a cab which could be cheaper. A cab/car ride to the 3 Chong Sen Temple pagodas was about 10rmb for 3-4pax which is comparable to waiting for Bus 4 which cost 3rmb per pax.

Il cappello ha una sola volta, il cappello è alto, molto tranquillo, C'è un gatto e un cane nel negozio. We stayed one night in August (Summer).
Pillow, blanket and bed were comfortable.
Toilet was humble.
Very kind and hard working hotel owner (well dressed and handsome too). He was very communicative, we added him on WeChat and he gave us detailed instructions and picked us up at the fork road, carried our luggages and walked us to the accommodation.
The accommodation is about 10-15 minutes walk to the main road where cars are allowed to drop off. We had huge and heavy luggage. We are extremely grateful that the owner lugged our luggage to the accommodation under the hot sun for us. He upgraded our room, and helped us to book a reliable driver to lijiang. He gave us tips on where to have breakfast and rent buggy. He also helped to liaise with the driver and carried our luggage to the car!!! It's 34 degrees Celsius here at the moment. We are so so grateful. Wishing the owner great success!
Recommendation:
1. Stay on the second floor onwards (less noisy and able to see the lake better)
2. Explore the track before the sun rises above the mountain (ard 6am). Walk 700m left of accommodation to book your vehicle. This will ensure you have enough vehicles to choose from, less crowded, avoid extreme UV, cooling weather, and get to Xin di cafe at a good time for breakfast!
3. Night time order meituan to accommodation so you can enjoy the view and eat at the comfort of your place. Couldn't find good and reliable restaurants around the area.
4. Manage expectations, there are bugs near the lake. Close the window at night.

DDuWhatuloveMy goal was to wake up every day and open my window and step outside and enjoy the view. I think I accomplished this staying here.
Area : It’s located in a village near the city center 20 minutes and about the same to the ancient town. It’s per dominantly a Muslim town , so you will find lots of BBQ and Halal eats. Also shops for simple basics are available. The town comes alive after 5:00 pm.
Food : You can order Weimai like McDonald’s and KFC for example, nothing western around. We got breakfast daily, as you can see it’s a set menu. But we enjoyed it , the options were plenty. Also, every afternoon they brought an afternoon snack , super nice and a great touch.
Room / Hygiene: The room we picked had the balcony, it was spacious the bed was comfortable. The stand alone bath was clean, and the bathrooms as well. Toiletries and slippers provided. The hotel can use some changing or cleaning of rugs and dust a bit on the corners. Over all it was good.
Transport : You need to get a taxi to go places , or take the bus. Not sure if it’s because it’s summer but getting a taxi was not very pleasant. I took the bus #2 in front of the village to go to the mall. Easy 2 RMB you can use your apple map.
Customer Service : The customer service was nice , the ladies were helpful in finding a place for COVID test. Our last day they arranged a driver , it was hard to get transportation.
Over all , it was a nice stay I only picked this hotel due to the view. If you want more action stay near the ancient town.

L'atmosfera tranquilla e il ritmo rilassato della vita qui sono veramente incompatibili, fornendo la perfetta fuga dalla resistenza e dalla resistenza quotidiana.

Ho nulla di cui lamentarmi per il mio tempo al Dali YJS Entry Lux Resort con Ocean View, che ha superato tutte le mie aspettative e ha dato un tempo molto necessario in un ambiente stupendo. Consigliamo molto questo hotel a chiunque cercasse un riposo lussuoso e pacifico. Non posso aspettare di tornare!

JJonathanAbbiamo trascorso 3 notti meravigliose qui. La struttura ben progettata offre una tranquilla pausa dal brusio delle strade esterne. Avevamo una stanza al secondo piano che lasciava entrare una buona luce solare durante i giorni, permettendoci di sederci vicino all'enorme finestra per il tè. Anche se il bagno e la doccia erano un po' piccoli, la vasca da bagno in pietra era enorme. La camera era pulita e aveva tutti i comfort essenziali che ci si aspetterebbe. Abbiamo adorato i cuscini Coco-mat. La colazione era un punto culminante ogni mattina, offrendo opzioni varie e salutari. Anche il caffè era buono. Servivano dessert/snack notturni gratuiti. Non avevano molto personale ma il servizio era buono e tempestivo, sempre pronto a offrire suggerimenti e consigli ogni volta che necessario. Ciò includeva inviare loro messaggi tramite WeChat ogni volta che avevi bisogno di qualcosa. Quando la custode ha scoperto che ci stavamo dirigendo verso le altre proprietà JiXiaShan dopo Dali, ha preso l'iniziativa per informarli del nostro imminente arrivo e ha chiesto che ci fosse accordata una buona ospitalità. Ci ha anche aiutato a metterci in contatto con l'autista Dida quando avevamo bisogno di organizzare il trasporto tra le città. Non ci è mancata molto la città antica di Dali, ma sicuramente ci manca questa meravigliosa proprietà e non esiteremmo a tornarci se dovessimo passare di qui.
