Hotel con spa a Tokyo

I come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them. The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits. Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape. There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water. The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station. I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.

Our family stay at Janu Tokyo was outstanding and thoughtfully designed for traveling with children while maintaining a high level of luxury. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely family-friendly. The staff were especially accommodating to our children, helping us feel comfortable and well cared for without ever feeling intrusive. Requests were handled promptly, and the overall hospitality felt polished yet relaxed. The facilities are world-class and particularly well suited for families. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and practical, offering enough room for both adults and children to unwind comfortably. Shared spaces, wellness areas, and amenities were impeccably maintained and easy to enjoy as a family. Dining was another highlight. The food quality was excellent, with options that worked well for both adults and children. The atmosphere across restaurants felt refined but welcoming, making family meals enjoyable rather than stressful. The location in Azabudai Hills is a major advantage for families—clean, modern, and less chaotic than some central Tokyo districts, while still being very convenient. Everything felt safe, accessible, and thoughtfully planned. Overall, Janu Tokyo delivers a rare combination of ultra-luxury and genuine family friendliness. It is an excellent choice for families seeking a sophisticated yet comfortable stay in Tokyo, and we would absolutely return.

Un soggiorno di lusso dal momento in cui si verifica quando si verifica La mia sorella e io siamo venuti a darci deliziose dolci complimentari di compleanno - solo il ritiro era che a causa della posizione potrebbe essere un po' rumoroso di notte, ma è l'unico negativo. La posizione è davvero buona, unita alla buona manutenzione dopo la nuova ristrutturazione, le strutture complessive sono davvero buone. È solo che la dimensione della stanza non è particolarmente spaziosa. Igiene: L'igiene della camera non è un problema. Ambiente: Nella piazza circostante innumerevoli persone vengono a fare il check-in e a scattare foto, lo si vede quando si aprono le tende la mattina. Servizio: Inutile dire che è davvero buono.

Un hotel molto esclusivo, pieno di charme e comfort. La stanza era spaziosa e il minibar era accanto con bevande complimentarie. La posizione era estremamente conveniente per le partite precoce e per il viaggio in città di Tokyo. Purtroppo non ho avuto la possibilità di usare il manico durante il mio soggiorno.

L'hotel dev'essere stato ristrutturato di recente, sembra molto più nuovo. Dalla camera con vista giardino esposta a ovest si può vedere il Monte Fuji. La posizione dell'hotel è a circa 15-20 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Shinjuku e dalla zona commerciale, non è vicinissimo ma comunque accettabile.

Everything was lovely. The only downside was that you had to pay a quite expensive fee to use the pool. Even when I explained that only my son would use it and that I wouldn’t actually go in, just sit and supervise him, they still told me I had to pay as well. It felt quite unreasonable, especially considering the hotel price, which should include access to the pool.

Abbiamo prenotato la camera occidentale giapponese. La stanza è abbastanza buona per 3 persone. 2 letti con 2 futoni. La vista dal balcone è sorprendente. L'hotel è a pochi minuti a piedi dalla partenza più vicina della linea metropolitana asakusa. Come al solito, Dormy Inn offre rami alla notte!!!! Molto raccomandato!!!

Good price for a capsule within walking distance of a JR station that reaches ikebukuro and Shinjuku pretty fast. Even has an onsen and sauna! Has a chill area to read manga and buy beer also. Staff also friendly and speaks English which is good to not get lost Only downside is the baggage area is quite messy and feels a bit dirty
