EEugene Lin KQBest hotel in Japan I’ve ever stayed so far, and this is my fifth trip in 12 months. Excellent location, spacious rooms with super attentive, polite and helpful front desk + concierge staffs whose restaurants recommendations were spot on! Definitely recommend!
P/s: the breakfast buffet unfortunately lacked variety (same variety) and was not delicious, and the pillows were not comfortable enough for me.

From the moment you step inside, the place feels like a true work of art. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and executed to the highest level of perfection.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating, always going out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable and well cared for. Their genuine hospitality made our stay not only smooth and relaxing, but deeply fulfilling.

La stazione ferroviaria è a soli 50 metri da piedi che può essere trasferito alla stazione di Kyoto facilmente
Per autovettura, il parcheggio è all'interno delle strutture dell'hotel, ma deve pagare 2000 yen per notte.
Ramen è servito come cena ogni notte se voleva più

AAdariEverything was good except the service in hotel restaurants, which was exceptionally bad:
1) breakfast: waited for food for 40 mins, reminded the server 2 times - still nothing;
2) bar: a too long wait for a cocktail. the server said that as apology said cocktail won’t be in included in the bill… but it was there;
3) afternoon tea: told the staff that I dislike dairy products, but have no allergy. So, for example I can eat most sweets, but not the ones with a strong taste of mascarpone cream. In the end they gave me just a plate of fruit and when I remninded them of the above they… did nothing ) I stayed at this hotel and had afternoon tea there last year too - everything was fine then.
All of the above are 3 different restaurants inside the hotel, so I wouldn’t recommend going to any restaurant there. In all other aspects except services related to food the hotel is good.

RRJEMTPotel Umokoji Kyoto ridefiniva ciò che un hotel offre ai suoi ospiti. In primo luogo, la posizione è unica, a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ( Umokoji Kyotonishi) e a 3 minuti a piedi per il treno al centro di Kyoto. Tuttavia, questo comfort è collegato alla sua posizione accanto a un grande parco bosco che alcuni ospiti si guardano - una vista speciale e tranquilla nel centro della città.
Le camere sono grandi secondo i standard giapponesi e le camere di stile giapponese (super comode) e le camere più tradizionali con stile occidentale offrono uno stile decorare scandanese/ giapponese, sia moderno che senza agglomerazione.
Inoltre, i servizi offerti ai clienti includono il caffè fresco e la serata, la birra complimentare, il vino e le bevande morbide . Si può portare nella vostra stanza con balcone, vista sui parchi o nella biblioteca o nella biblioteca musicale, entrambi offrendo un tranquillo rinvio da un CBD a volte frenetico Kyoto.
Unico, speciale e in gran parte trascurato da prenotazioni di gruppo turistico, il Potel Umokoji è in grado di offrire l'atmosfera e le esperienze degli ospiti che molti luoghi turistici di massa hanno perso.

有庭院，私湯，日式風情滿滿
特別是每天的早飯，花樣繁多，每天都有變化。早飯後還有京都老字號的日式抹茶和用心搭配的小點心，店長會認真的告訴喝抹茶的手勢。
離地鐵稍微遠點距離，周邊公交站倒是有好幾個，所以出行也挺方便的，而且一路走在京都風情的小路上，發現路邊的寶藏小店們，也別有意趣

I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard.
However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements:
1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue.
2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition.
3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience.
4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated.
5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space.
6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering.
In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction.
If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards.

SShinyoung SimLocation is best but too complicate area so it hard to find the certain location like restaurant ,meeting places. hotel & staffs services ok cleanliness was good too.
The hotel breakfast is ok not really Japanese style and it's just for universal continental style.

UUtente ospiteIt was a grea hotel with free shuttle to station. The room size was big compared to other usual Japanese hotel and the longer bathtube made a difference.
Breakfast buffet was the best with many many variety and staff produced french toast at site served with honey.
Underground Carpark was really convenient and you coud get discount by joinning as its member at once!
