Location is near ancient city, opposite Dali University so there are some basic eating options within walking distance. Our room is on level 3 and there is no lift. Hotel staff carried our luggages during check-in and check-out. We used the complimentary drop-off, pick-up to ancient city, all went well with communication via WhatsApp. They also helped us arrange a 1 day Erhai tour. Overall, a very well run hotel. The hotel was just as the pictures, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We are vegetarians, they went the extra mile to prepare us a hi-tea as well as meals according to our taste at the restaurant. The food was yum and they gave a good discount too at the restaurant. They also had a personal staff member with us all the time, Cassie she was lovely; very helpful, could speak English and showed us around. Overall it was totally worth it.

ROOM: Very clean and everything looked brand new. My room was on the 2nd floor so the balcony is right outside my window. You can see mountains from the room (the view might not be the clearest from the room so I recommend going on the 2nd floor balcony or the 4th floor where the washing machine is). The 4th floor provides a 360 view of Dali's mountains and you can see Erhai from afar. FOOD: They provided a welcoming bowl of fresh watermelons (very sweet!) And Yunnan's specialty rose pastries. They also have Pu'er tea (Yunnan's specialty) in the room or you can request an afternoon tea. I only had breakfast once, but they provide either rice with side dishes or noodles every morning from 8 AM to 10 AM. You can message them on wechat in advance and they can even send the breakfast up to your room. The homestay employees were all super friendly and there is a painted map on the first floor of main tourist locations.
