Hotel a 5 stelle in Attica, Grecia

Recensione dell'NYX Esperia Palace Athens: un soggiorno di lusso con qualche riserva Abbiamo soggiornato all'NYX Esperia Palace Athens per quattro giorni interi: due coppie, ciascuna in una Executive Suite con accesso alla business lounge. L'accoglienza è stata calorosa ed efficiente e abbiamo ricevuto le nostre camere esattamente alle 15:00, come da politica dell'hotel. Le suite erano pulite, eleganti e ben attrezzate con servizi come spazzolini da denti usa e getta, kit da barba, spugne, asciugacapelli e altro ancora. Una delle nostre suite, situata al settimo piano, aveva persino una vista parziale sull'Acropoli, il che è stato un ulteriore vantaggio. Il clima, l'illuminazione e le tende della camera erano tutti gestiti tramite comandi digitali, pensati per coccolare gli ospiti, anche se, nella pratica, non erano molto intuitivi e richiedevano un po' di tentativi ed errori. Ad esempio, per spegnere la luce sul comodino era necessario alzarsi e raggiungere un pannello di controllo. La TV includeva canali israeliani (11, 12 e 13), cosa che abbiamo apprezzato. La colazione al 10° piano era eccellente, con un'ampia varietà di opzioni di alta qualità, e il servizio al tavolo era superiore alla media. Uno dei punti forti del nostro soggiorno è stata l'eccezionale attenzione prestata da Ilia, la responsabile delle pubbliche relazioni dell'hotel. Ci ha guidato praticamente dal momento del nostro arrivo fino alla nostra partenza, consigliandoci ottime taverne, prenotando taxi, ristoranti e organizzando una visita guidata privata. L'ultimo giorno, siamo stati accolti calorosamente anche da Dionysia nella lounge: gentile e premurosa. Detto questo, ci sono stati alcuni inconvenienti: Il servizio alla reception era incoerente: non tutto il personale era accogliente; alcuni apparivano freddi o offrivano sorrisi forzati. La business lounge è stata deludente: piccola, affollata, con un'offerta modesta di cibo e bevande e posti a sedere poco invitanti. Sembrava più una sala riadattata che una vera e propria lounge. Le piscine richiedono la prenotazione anticipata, senza spazio per la spontaneità. Gli orari di utilizzo sono segmentati (ad esempio, dalle 13:00 alle 16:00 o dalle 16:00 alle 19:00) e i posti dopo le 19:00 sono molto limitati. L'area della piscina sul tetto è affollata e il ristorante adiacente è aperto anche a chi non è ospite dell'hotel. Esperienza al ristorante sul tetto: una sera siamo tornati da una serata fuori e speravamo di goderci un drink con vista. Sebbene fossero disponibili due tavoli in prima fila con vista sull'Acropoli, inizialmente ci è stato detto che erano riservati. Pochi minuti dopo, ci è stato comunicato che potevamo sederci lì per una spesa minima di 25 € a persona. Il passaggio improvviso da ”riservato” a ”disponibile a pagamento” è stato scoraggiante, soprattutto per gli ospiti dell'hotel che soggiornano nelle suite. La visita guidata consigliata dall'hotel prevedeva quasi 4 ore di guida su un viaggio di 5 ore, lasciandoci pochissimo tempo a ogni tappa. Vi consigliamo di saltarla. In conclusione: L'hotel è moderno, molto pulito e le suite sono lussuose. Il servizio è per lo più eccellente, soprattutto grazie a Ilia e Dionysia. Tuttavia, non contate sull'accesso spontaneo alla piscina o al ristorante sul tetto: per goderseli è necessario pianificare in anticipo, proprio come prenotare uno spettacolo teatrale. Se apprezzate suite ben progettate ed esperienze strutturate, questo hotel potrebbe essere la scelta ideale. Se cerchi flessibilità e trattamenti per l'intera giornata offerti dalle strutture alberghiere, potresti trovare la soluzione un po' limitante.

The hotel reception is spacious by Europe standards. Checkin was seamless however we had to pay for taxes at the time of checkin. Took a little while to work out the lift as the doors don’t open automatically. You had to manually open the front door to get into a reasonable small lift that catered for 2 people and 2 luggage. It reminded me of an old school type lifts seen in movies. Rather cool. Rooms looked newly renovated and modern. Pod Coffee machine with illy pods, desk, a single chair and a wall hung tv. With this said, we had a room facing the road and whether the windows didn’t close properly or the windows were very thin with no sound proofing, but the noise from the road was bad. We were on the 5th floor and every car that went by, we heard. The heavier vehicles were worse. Does not work especially if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was average with comparison to many other hotels around the world however I would say quite sufficient by European standards. Precooked eggs, scrambled, boiled and sunny side up, basic cereal and fruit selection and bakery was a bit dry. Omelette made on order. Staff in restaurant were excellent and extremely helpful. Location was excellent for this hotel as it was walking distance from buses and train, restaurants and some markets. Communications with its reservations team was shocking. Even after 6 emails with regard to a future booking, I did not get a single reply. Eventually met the hotel manager and had the issue resolved so a big thanks to Ms. Maria. Overall, comfortable apart from the road noise. Would I book again, will not be my default hotel so I may be looking at other hotels but would not rule it out completely.

Our first night stay was acceptable although the room was very short of supplied coffee making items which in turn forced us to visit the cafe who charged us €8 euros a time for a small coffee - but then the worst of all was when we learned of our cancelled cruise the day after, which meant we had to stay an extra night while we organised our change of plans, meanwhile the hotel got news of this and cashed in on people’s misery by increasing the room rates by a massive 75%, which we found despicable to be honest and a second night confirmed the hotels policy IMO of seemingly driving guests towards spending as much as management can extract all hidden behind a big smile of course Very disappointed with our stay overall and would advise anyone staying to avoid the hotels restaurant or cafe and walk across the road to the airport, where food is available not only in plentiful of choice and better quality - but at a fraction of the price of this greed based establishment under the name of Sofitel - Shame on the Hotel IMO

Heerlijk hotel met veel vertier rond om van restaurant bar en een openlucht bisoscoop! Wij hebben in de avond in het restaurant in het Hotel gegeten. Het was superlekker en het was prachtig uitzicht op de Acropolis. De stad was super vriendelijk en alles was echt perfect. Echt een aanrader als je in Athene verblijft.

La camera è grande, si affaccia sul Mar Egeo e vicino alla spiaggia. Le forniture per il bagno non sono all'altezza degli standard a cinque stelle, ma sono molto buone rispetto agli hotel greci la cena è ottima.

Le strutture hardware sono un po' vecchie, ma la posizione è eccellente. È a dieci minuti a piedi da tutte le attrazioni vicine. Ci sono 3 ristoranti cinesi e molti ristoranti greci nelle vicinanze. È molto comodo mangiare. Prenderò in considerazione la possibilità di soggiornare qui la prossima volta.

Highlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries. Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time Overall: a very pleasant stay

Hotel was lovely, things were quite expensive, water in the mini bar was extortionately priced. Staff were all helpful.

The hotel in general was great. They did not reach out prior to arriving asking whether we are okay or need assistance to the hotel. I've encountered other 5 star hotels that do so. Upon arrival they were quite friendly and informative. A deposit for the mini bar was required of 60 euros per day of stay which they didnt inform the guests of prior to arriving. That could've been easily avoided. The room was clean, and an adequate amount of amenities provided. We had some issues with the trash can and the body wash had to be refilled after the first day but they attended to that immediately. The gym is good, well equipped. The location not bad, about 20min from the nearest metro Neos cosmos, and about 30minutes walk to Syntagma Square. The asthetics of the hotel is beautiful, there's a good bar and club within the hotel. Room service was offered and efficient daily.
