Nel ristorante, la prima notte abbiamo ordinato il menu di sapore set, era medio. Vivo nelle camere di fabbricazione, le camere sono medie per il suo prezzo. Il vino è certamente un rip-off, vi hanno dato alcuni vini economici l'anno scorso. Posso ottenere vino simile a un prezzo simile nella regione viticola di Firenze Italia con vini deliziosi dal 1800. Non consiglio di fare il vino delizioso in questo quinta. Hanno creato alcuni circuiti o percorsi per voi per girare intorno che è bello, ma le note e la mappa non sono aggiornate. Puoi perdere, ma dovresti anche essere in grado di capire il modo di uscire così poco.

La zona del lobby è molto bella, ma il terreno dell'hotel è in fase di ristrutturazione e la polvere e il rumore sono portati all'interno dell'hotel. La camera al secondo piano era buia, il cavo non funzionava e il bagno si scontrava con una bassa pressione d'acqua nel doccia.

Beatiful house with nice comfortable rooms, a super nice living room for spending the evening . Good breakfast and a nice, clean pool. Big garden with grapes and olive trees, kiwi and qrapes on top of the parking lot. Enough parking space. Definitely worth a visit during your douro valley tour. Some nice restaurants to visit in the small towns nearby. Tasty wine from own production and very friendly owners

We had a wonderful overnight stay in one of the wine barrel rooms - what fun it was! We loved the view outside, and while the room was a little small, the experience and comfort more than made up for it. We also enjoyed a stroll around the property, a wine tour and tasting, dinner with wine pairings, a poolside afternoon, and delicious in-room breakfast. Wish we could have stayed two nights!

Spacious room overlooking the Douro River. No air conditioning the night we stayed because they said it was cold and raining and only the heat is available. The receptionist at check in was not very friendly or accommodating. She acted like it was a lot of trouble for her to arrange a wine tasting tour for us. The restaurant was deafening loud during dinner because there were a couple of tour groups. I would not recommend shrimp risotto.

The stay exceeded our expectations! Wonderful place, service and food! The room was clean and tidy, with a view and very cozy. Fresh apples available in the room and water was a lovely addition. Personale dell'hotel gentile, sorridente e soprattutto giovane (sembra sia proprio una politica voluta dalla struttura, che riguarda la reception così come la sala della colazione). Camera spaziosa, comoda e funzionale, dall'arredamento moderno e sobrio. La colazione è molto curata sia nell'offerta di dolce e salato che nell'apparecchiatura dei tavoli e nella disposizione delle cose. Passano a riempire la tazza di caffè tutte le volte che si vuole. Si gode, inoltre, di un'ottima visuale sulla vallata. Piscina molto piacevole. Può essere parecchio affollata in certi momenti, ma c'è il giusto ricambio. Stesso discorso per il parcheggio auto: in linea di massima c'è posto per tutti, ma sul finire del giorno è più difficile ritagliarsi uno spazio. Abbiamo fatto check out alle 5 del mattino e per questo motivo ci siamo fatti preparare una breakfast box. E loro, gentilissimi, ce l'hanno fatta trovare pronta in reception. Grazie!

Stayed 1 night as part of a 3 week holiday across Portugal. This was Vila Gale hotel number 3/4 we would stay. We booked a suite as a family of 4. The room was great, spacious, clean, very nice and modern. The balcony view was amazing looking out over the River and vineyards. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options from the buffet for the kids. We stayed half board and ate in the restaurant in the evening. It is buffet style and is ok but not amazing. Pool was very good with amazing views and the pool bar very convenient. Location is remote and you need a car. We traveled after staying in Porto and took a scenic drive of about 2hrs (but can be quicker on motorways). But the drive is well worth the location. It is in a stunning area and the panoramic views from all parts of the hotel are amazing. This hotel should be 5* and could be with some minor tweaks. The buffet restaurant is more 4* resort and with the change to A la carte menu restaurant would suit its style more. Also the addition of further bar areas other than the restaurant would add the extra. Apart from that it was a great stay and the staff where all pleasant, helpful and kind. Also felt comfortable with kids but would maybe come back as a couple one day to enjoy ;-).

Abbiamo finito per caso di rimanere in questo fantastico hotel dopo un invito a un matrimonio. Grazie Leslie e Antonio! Il luogo è posato come un castello con bellissime terre e spazio funzionale lontano dalle eleganti camere da letto e spaziose. Situato letteralmente nel mezzo di nessuno, tranquillità può essere facilmente trovata, anche quando il matrimonio è finito. La zona della piscina è serena con molti letti solari, parasoli e tavoli, e raramente piena. Anche una piccola piscina per bambini. All'interno, vi sono camere storiche di stile musea che possono essere facilmente esplorate. Il ristorante, attualmente utilizzato come bar è lavaggio e invitante. La qualità alimentare è eccezionale. La casa è aperta al centro della città, a pochi passi dalla porta principale, e offre un piccolo pub/caffè che serve bevande e cibo molto economici con un'atmosfera molto locale. Una grande quantità di birre e vini locali sono disponibili insieme a snack e trattamenti. Il miglior plus disponibile è la vista, semplicemente stupenda e non da perdere, da molto da ogni lato del terreno e dell'hotel. Grazie mille al cappotto di ricezione, che ci ha controllato sul 11/08. Molto amichevole, e ci ha aiutato con i nostri sacchetti. La colazione qui è costosa, ma si ottiene una buona scelta con formaggio locale e carne e il prezzo normale. Quando parte sulla strada, la prima stazione di combustibile Respol offre le migliori viste una stazione di combustibile che potrebbe fornire, perfettamente indietro verso questo hotel, perfette viste inverse. Bene vale una vacanza speciale per una o due notti.

Reserved a triple room for 2 nights. I have phoned previously to ensure we would have the best room possible, on a higher floor - even allowed a possible upgrade to have the best experience possible. Arrived at 9PM. No concierge, rough and plainer customer attendance. Made me pay in advance, even though my credit card number was sent as I’ve booked the room, so the hotel had all warranties needed. Placed us on the first floor, hock means they didn’t care about my previous phone call and expectations. As we arrived in the room, we realised it was very dated, furniture eas falling apart, cracks on the walls, etc. Beds, we and tb were ok, mini bar with a couple of bottles, court wins and other amenities too old. We asked to change the room, because of cracks and so. They changed us to a double room with an extra bed which was actually better than the previous one(!). Overall very dated The rest of the. Hotel is ok. Good breakfast, great location, nice service. Fair SPA (it was nice actually, but every one could get is, specifically kids - why do they call it a SPA if it’s only an indoor pool?) In a nutshell: it’s not bad, pretty clean and fair. Should be cheaper - value for money is not ok - and definitely NOT a 5 star. An average 4 star, at most
