Zhangye West Railway Station
On baidu map, it says that from Zhangye railway station to the hotel is about 3 km but when actually navigating my way over while carrying a luggage, it was so much further than I'd expect because Zhnagye's road and traffic are quite chaotic. Many traffic lights aren't even in operation and there are quite a few (3 I think) t+junctions that pedestrian have to cross via the underpass. The cars doesn't quite obey the traffic lights, so be careful and cautious. For the hotel itself, it's definitely one of my favorite overall, out of my 3 hotel stays during my trip. According to the receptionist I was offered a room upgrade, so thank you! There were also lots of free treats evertime I cleared it, so thank you again! Love especially the red dates yogurt, it's definitely a must try (although they were 2-3days after expiry). I even went out to the grocery to get more! Regarding the amenities, the air conditioner works but can't be controlled. Tried setting temp to 5 degree Celsius (lowest settings) and 30 degree celcius (highest setting), both doesn't work. It seems like it is fixed to room temp +/- a few degrees based on the temp outdoor. One of the day I had sunburn and wanted to cool off but due to how the temp was determined, I have no choice but to sweat it out. Other than that, the tap water here had very visible residue that you can tell that it isn't clear, so I really recommend not using it for drinking water boiled or not. Aon my last day, I wanted to try the bathtub but when I turned on the tap, I had a shock. The water that came out was brown, so I cancelled my initial plan of using it for relaxation 😕. There is also a humidifier provided and I am super grateful for that, however the water ran out on the 2nd day and I can't seem to fill it up correctly. The toilet bowl is also a smart toilet bowl, but I didn't realized it after closer inspection while trying to find how to flush. Lastly, I was so looking forward to the stars celling but it's kinda sad that you can't turn it on on its own without having the other lights turned on as well. Which honestly defeats the purpose of having a star gazing celling.

Un grande cortile con un respiro locale, molto caldo, con un bel gatto e un cane da cucina.E'solo il momento della notte, il capo duro aspetta che ci aiuti a stare qui per cosi' tanto tempo. Il giorno dopo ci siamo mangiati qui, quattro persone hanno mangiato la salsa, molto soddisfatto, il cibo è molto profumo, mentre mangiano il tutu, e papà ci guarda sotto il tavolo, è così carino!

La posizione geografica di questo hotel di Hanting è eccellente. È sulla strada a piedi. Sono tutti diversi tipi di cibo rosso e dolce di rete. Dopo aver mangiato più di dieci minuti a piedi, il ponte è il parco della torre bianca.La stanza dell'hotel è pulita e pulita e confortevole. Visited Dunhuang on several occasions before but Bowen Hotel is the best considering its rating and price. It's a 4 star and only 150 CNY per night. For this you get a well appointed comfortable room with a view of the river. The rooms are well set out with plenty of space, power points and light switches where they are needed, and a stable reliable and secure wifi signal. The Hotel is situated about 300m east of Dunhuang museum. So, still within walking distance of night market main street, bars, memory box cafe, bus no.3 to Mingsha etc The bathroom is good quality with a glass enclosure for the shower unit, which has lots of space. The hot water system is responsive and strong, over 24 hours (-10°C outside). Good quality towels and a floor mat are provided and replaced each day by the effecient room service staff.who keep rooms spotlessly clean. The queen sized bed is super comfortable- not too soft or too hard. The double boutique room also has a coffee table, sofa and matching foot rest. I especially appreciated the gym on floor 7. Limited but useful equipment (treadmill, weights). Another useful feature is a laundry service - also on floor 7. I was fortunate enough to interact with the hotel manager, (who communicates in English very well) and she arranged a taxi late at night to Liuyuan. Overall a pleasant hotel experience in a great oasis town. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti al Runhu Hotel mentre visitavamo tutte le attrazioni turistiche nei dintorni di Zhangye, tra cui gite al deserto del Gobi, Ping Shan Hu (Grand Canyon), la valle di Alien e altri siti. L'hotel, pulito, spazioso e tranquillo, ha dipendenti motivati ​​che sono felici di soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Il ristorante è davvero molto buono con prezzi ragionevoli, anche la colazione a buffet era varia e di ottima qualità. L'hotel offre anche servizi come la consegna serale di latte caldo e una vasca per pediluvio con sali di Epsom senza costi aggiuntivi. Questo posto era così carino e super pulito/ordinato con un'estetica molto carina. C'è un gatto residente di nome Pudding che è una bella novità, e l'ostello è in un'ottima posizione a pochi passi da un sacco di cibo, negozi e attrazioni. Le camere sono spaziose con grandi finestre e la proprietaria è così disponibile. Parla inglese e ti invierà un elenco di consigli sui ristoranti nei dintorni. Ci hanno anche aiutato a organizzare un sacco di visite turistiche a un buon prezzo! Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso e ci tornerei volentieri. Assicurati di provare il ”riso” di manzo dalla lista, è così buono!!

Abbiamo aggiornato gratuitamente la suite, così è stato bello. Molto bella vista sul fiume e non così rumoroso come alcune delle recensioni che ho letto. Probabilmente perché il tempo era freddo. La camera era molto spaziosa, anche per la dimensione della camera da letto da sola. Il letto era comodo e non troppo morbido. Ma dirò che le luci nelle camere e anche il sedile igienico erano molto confusi. Stranamente, aveva una grande zona di bagno, ma una doccia separata e molto squisita. La colazione era buona, ma considerando come la città sia davvero solo una città nel deserto, direi che è davvero buona. I ristoranti locali sono anche opzioni, ma abbiamo dovuto alzarci molto presto per i viaggi di giorno, e non ci sono stati sentimenti come il congelamento fuori per cercare cibo quando è ancora buio. L'hotel non è nel centro della città, ma dato che la città è piccola, il taxi è il modo di andare. In realtà, finiamo solo ricevere il numero di telefono di uno dei conducenti del taxi, e la chiamava ogni volta che avevamo intenzione di uscire. Ho scelto l'hotel sulla base di estetica e non mi sono deluso, ma la nostra suite era alla fine di un lungo percorso, quindi si prega di camminare se non siete vicino all'ascensore.

Grande hotel! Camere pulite e spaziose. Il personale è davvero accogliente e utile, e non aveva problemi di usare traduttori per comunicare. È stata fornita acqua e la stanza è stata pulita ogni giorno. Il colazione ha molte opzioni. La posizione era perfetta, forse 25 minuti al treno, 20 minuti al forte, 30 minuti al Grande Muro. Anche la gente di Jiayuguan era molto gentile e utile, quindi non abbiamo avuto problemi di ordinare nei ristoranti nonostante la nostra mancanza di competenze linguistiche cinesi.

This is a REALLY nice hotel. Unfortunately, although it is practically right next to one of the city's two train stations, the location is far from ideal. Yes, there are many restaurants close by. But Tianshui is an oddly laid out city. Look on a map and you will see two distinct parts to the city. This hotel, along with the two train stations and the airport are in the eastern city. But all the most interesting city attractions are within the west part. And the two parts are very far from each other. Again, this is a nice, quiet, comfortable hotel. And I often try to stay at hotels near transportation centers such as train stations. The view from my room was fabulous- mountains and a train station. But for anyone visiting Tianshui, I'd suggest you look closely at a map and take a close look at the sites within the city you are likely to visit! (To add to within-town transportation challenges, not even a single time was I able to get a ride using the normally useful ”Didi” application. This meant that it was a constant ”old school” process of trying to flag down available taxis. Anyway, again I will emphasize, the hotel is great. It is the layout of the city itself that presents challenges that make this location difficult.
