Hotel Review – Hotel Ocidental Dresden Newa I recently stayed at Hotel Ocidental Dresden Newa, and while the property benefits from a central location in the inner city, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel’s greatest advantage is indeed its proximity to the city center, allowing convenient access to major attractions and public transportation. However, aside from this, the stay was overshadowed by several shortcomings. Firstly, the amenities were very limited, and the guest room itself appeared dated and somewhat worn, reflecting the age of the hotel. This left an impression of tiredness rather than comfort. The most concerning issue, however, relates to the parking situation. The hotel advertises that it offers its own parking facilities, yet in reality, this is not the case. Guests are required to use a public parking facility nearby, which is misleading and highly inconvenient. This information should be corrected immediately, as it creates false expectations for visitors arriving by car. Additionally, the area in front of the hotel is consistently overcrowded with parked vehicles, often blocking arriving guests from accessing the entrance or unloading luggage during check-in. This further contributed to a frustrating arrival experience. In conclusion, while the central location is undeniably practical, the limited amenities, outdated rooms, misleading information about parking, and poorly managed entrance area significantly detract from the overall quality of the stay. I would strongly recommend the management address these issues to ensure a more accurate representation of the hotel and a better experience for future guests.

The hotel is new and conveniently located near the train station and the main shopping street. It takes about 15 minutes on foot to reach the historic center and Frauenkirche. Pros: Modern facilities, great location for shopping and transport connections. Cons: The area is noisy at night, and there were loud street noises outside the window. Breakfast lacked scrambled eggs and bacon, which was disappointing.

The hotel was well located as it was in front of the train station. May my travel easy as I had a heavy bag in tow. Public transport was practically at its door steps and it made our travelling to the various attractions so much convenient and easier. The rooms were clean and comfy. Staff were attentive and friendly. Special shout out to reception staff, Ms.Chenvako who made our check in seamless and provided us with all the necessary information. Always wore a permanent smile on her face, she attended to our various request and even provided us with free coupons for the public transport. The cleaninessof the rooms, exemplary services, and convenient location are what made our stay at the hotel fantastic and wonderful. We loved everything I highly recommend Intercity Hotel, Dresden for its clean and cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service.

Visitando Dresda per la prima volta in viaggio d'affari, ho scelto un hotel in una buona posizione vicino alla città. Come previsto, l'Hilton Dresden si è confermato la posizione migliore per visitare la città, cenare, ecc. Anche se il parcheggio è ampio e buono, per chi arriva per la prima volta è molto difficile trovare il passaggio dal parcheggio sotterraneo all'hotel. La visualizzazione non è dettagliata. Ho vagato a lungo per il parcheggio sotterraneo e l'edificio commerciale collegato al parcheggio cercando di trovare un passaggio per l'hotel. La colazione era buona.

Sehr netter Service. Das Zimmer super mit einer tollen Küche. Sehr sauber. Frühstück Auswahl sehr umfangreich. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Lage zentral und nicht weit weg vom Hauptbahnhof.

We were going to a gig at the nearby Haus Ansee and this was the closest hotel. Wonderful receptionist on Sat and Sunday morning who was so helpful! We managed to check in early(not guaranteed)and the room was lovely and comfortable. The parking garage for our hire car worked well and we left it when we got the tram into town. Cannot fault the breakfast at all and just generally all the service we received. Nothing not to like except I miss a tea/coffee tray but maybe this isn’t something that happens in bc Grr we nan hotels. Don’t hesitate….value for money! Close to train station and zoo, room to the backyard and quite spacious, has fully equipped kitchen, but no hoover, with warning that one shall not produce smoke/steam, as the detector is directly connected to the fire station, and warms about fine it would cause. Need to clean the kitchen, otherwise fine 50 euro. Cleaning team needs better briefing and communication. Room door was opened by cleaning staff twice before check out time. Free tea and coffee available at nice lobby lounge.
