Прекрасный отель на берегу моря. Небольшой, состоит из 8 номеров (на сколько помню). Все номера большие, чистые, красивые. Нет телевизора, но для нас это не имело значения. Есть свой риф, где можно поплавать с черепахами и разными рыбками. Организовывают транспорт с водителем, чтобы съездить к акулам и водопадам. Очень вкусный ресторан при отеле. Нам все очень понравилось, мы даже из отеля не выходили. Советую всем.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had! I honestly cannot recommend Yellow Umbrella Hostels in Cebu City enough. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every single part of my stay exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stood out was how spotlessly clean everything was. The rooms, bathrooms, common areas, everywhere was exceptionally well maintained. You can really tell that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hostel comfortable, organized, and welcoming. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Manager Glen deserves special recognition. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests create such a positive atmosphere that you can feel it throughout the entire hostel. And honestly, the rest of the staff were just as incredible. I would write names but truly every staff was amazing because every single person I met was outstanding. They were always smiling, approachable, eager to help, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests’ experiences unforgettable. That level of hospitality is rare and deserves to be celebrated. The atmosphere is warm, safe, and incredibly comforting. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this hostel makes it easy to relax, meet amazing people, and truly enjoy your time in Cebu. The service was consistently exceptional, every request was handled quickly, every interaction was friendly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I’ve stayed in many accommodations while traveling, and Yellow Umbrella Hostels genuinely ranks among the very best. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you feel at home. If you’re visiting Cebu City, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it. Thank you to Glen and the entire team for making my trip so memorable. You have set the standard for what hospitality should be, and I can’t wait to come back. 10/10. Five stars aren’t enough!

L'hotel e il personale hanno fatto molto bene durante il festival Sinulog! Hanno organizzato un workshop e hanno fornito regali e souvenir. È anche molto vicino a una delle aree principali del festival. L'unica delusione è stata la kaldereta che abbiamo ordinato dalla cucina, che era ridicolo poco (1 pezzo di carne). Tuttavia ci sono molti ristoranti vicino. Il secchiere ha bisogno di un pagamento aggiuntivo di 100 peso per notte.

Siamo stati lì con mia figlia solo per alcuni giorni e abbiamo trascorso del tempo a prendere il brevetto subacqueo PADIS grazie all'allenatore Lin e al responsabile del centro immersioni John, a visitare il pittoresco mercato alimentare di Mallball e a osservare la vita locale in riva al mare. L'acqua del mare è limpida come il vetro, con una ricca fauna marina anche vicino alla spiaggia, e i dintorni sono fantastici: montagne, vegetazione tropicale, ristoranti e hotel di lusso lungo la spiaggia e, naturalmente, le barche locali dall'aspetto rustico e incantevole. Il cibo era delizioso, il personale cordiale. Tutto era il massimo!

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Orchid, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a  view of the ocean over the treetops. It felt peaceful and private — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. The staff were exceptional — so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They helped me plan a surprise proposal for my fiancé, offering suggestions for the perfect location and ultimately arranging for us to use their private rooftop. They also coordinated a romantic dinner there just for us, ensuring we had complete privacy. It was an unforgettable evening, and I’m so grateful for the care they put into making it so special. The resort arranged our transportation both from our previous hotel in Mactan and later to Cebu Pier 1, which made travel stress-free. We also booked canyoneering and an introductory scuba dive through them. The instructors were fantastic — very patient and reassuring, especially when I became nervous underwater and couldn’t finish the dive. While the resort is a bit removed from the busier Panagsama Beach area, that was a huge plus for us. We wanted somewhere quiet, scenic, and romantic, and Blue Orchid delivered exactly that. The restaurant doesn’t have a massive menu, but the food was consistently delicious, portions were perfect, and prices were very fair. Even though there wasn’t a kettle in the room, hot water, coffee and tea was readily available and it was never an inconvenience since everything was close by. We also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed — it added to the tropical charm, though we didn’t need it because insects were never an issue. We even spotted a tiny gecko in our room upon arrival, but it was harmless and quickly disappeared — just part of the island’s character! Overall, the Blue Orchid was everything we hoped for: quiet, romantic, and welcoming. The staff helped make one of the most meaningful moments of our lives absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it, especially to LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a peaceful and genuinely inclusive place to stay in Moalboal. When we do a return trip to the area, we will stay here again. 

L'hotel era buono - circa giusto per il prezzo. Grande personale di ricezione che mi ha aiutato a trasferirmi in una stanza più tranquilla. La stanza era pulita, il bacino era bloccato. Il costo del trasferimento aeroportuale era alto ma efficiente.

Abbiamo controllato tardi da un volo di notte. Quando entravo nella stanza, un grande cazzo di cazzo, forse due pollici di lunghezza, correva lungo il pavimento fino a che non lo colpissi.  Le porte scivolanti al balcone non sembrano chiudere bene, così si sentirà facilmente le auto tutta la notte.  L'hotel e la camera sono molto vecchie e date.  Anche il colazione incluso era molto piccolo.Abbiamo un uovo, un hot dog tagliato in tre e riso. Anche una tazza di succo.  Il Wi-Fi è stato grande e ha funzionato bene per le riunioni di lavoro e la chiamata WiFi.

The stay was good mainly because of the location. The room was very spacious it could easily fit around 5–6 people even with just one bed, which was really nice. They also have an elevator, which made everything more convenient. However, the downside was that the bed had a slight smell, and the towels didn’t feel very fresh and were a bit rough. Good thing they were able to provide me with a new towel when I asked. Overall, it was still a nice stay, but the bed and towels could definitely be improved.

Приехала ночью, не очень сначала поняла как поселиться, так как бесконтактный вход, но инструкции отправили по почте. Первый раз брала апартаменты. В номере чисто, все необходимое присутствовало. Стиральная машина, гигиенические принадлежности. Мне очень понравилось расположение. Пляж рядом 7 минут. Напротив 7-eleven, магазины, обменники и банкоматы в соседнем здании. На обратном пути поселюсь туда же. Также есть бассейн, фитнес, прогулочная зона на 4 этаже.

It's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.
