JjhoebiUno dei migliori hotel è stato a. 5/5 per me.. Molto buon servizio e buon cibo e colazione è fantastico. adoro il loro champagne. sicuramente uno dei miei migliori viaggi a Cebu. È preoccupato di viaggiare anche il suo quote lontano dall'aeroporto. La stanza è così pulita e spaziosa. Amiamo la loro sala dirigenziale. Lo consiglio certamente alla mia famiglia e ai miei amici.

EExtraordinaire_spicymommaBest family hotel. All staffs from reception, to bell boys to the restaurants are all so welcoming and accommodating. They have this huge kidzone play place for kids and attendants are so caring , attentive and kind. We really enjoyed all the resorts facilities. My son & niece enjoyed the pool , beach and kidzone. U should join their Shangrila membership to get gift like snorkel set use, ice cream or the 2hr pass from kidzone which is really the best of the 3.

UUtente anonimoWe booked two rooms for 7 nights at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan. We are two families traveling together with three young children and a pregnant wife. We were excited for a relaxing vacation, but after just 4 days, we wanted to check out early.
The hotel agreed to refund only one room (around 900–1000 USD), but refused to refund the second room. This decision was made even though the hotel is completely full (Chinese New Year, peak season). Our rooms could have been sold to other guests immediately, so there was no financial risk to the hotel.
Why We Wanted to Leave Early:
1. Food Issues (Very Important for Muslim Families)
The hotel is in an isolated location with no restaurants nearby. The on-site restaurants serve mostly spicy Asian food, often containing pork. As Muslim families with young children, we cannot eat spicy food or pork. This made every meal a struggle.
2. Transportation (A Nightmare)
Getting a taxi is extremely difficult.
· When we wanted to leave the hotel to go to the city, we often waited over an hour for a taxi.
· When we tried to return to the hotel from the city (like Cebu), we waited up to 2 hours because drivers refuse to come to this hotel.
· Even within the Mactan area, finding a taxi was not easy.
· The hotel offers a transfer service, but it costs 2–3 times more than a regular taxi. For a family, this is not a practical solution.
3. Maintenance Issues
On the very first day, we reported that the sink was clogged – water drained very slowly. We were promised it would be fixed. After 3 days, nothing had been done.
On day 3, I personally told the General Manager, Mr. Robin Bernard, about the problem. He said: ”No problem, I will solve it.”
But even after his promise, nothing happened.
Finally, on day 4, housekeeping came to our room. We showed them the problem by running the water. They saw it immediately and called an engineer, who fixed it within 20 minutes.
Mr. Bernard's promise meant nothing. The regular staff fixed it.
Our Conversation with Management
We requested an early checkout. Mr. Ross Bautista genuinely tried to help us. He suggested a possible refund for one room and arranged a meeting with his superior to discuss our case.
That meeting was with General Manager Robin Bernard. Here is what happened:
· He claimed he ”knew the situation”, but could not explain any details. We had to tell him everything again: about the children, the pregnant wife, the food, the transportation.
· Throughout the conversation, he was arrogant and condescending. It felt like he was not listening, just waiting for us to finish.
· We explained that the hotel was fully booked (Chinese New Year, peak season), so letting us leave early would not hurt his business. The rooms would be sold again immediately.
· His response was shocking. He looked at us and said, word for word:
”You should not think about my business. It's my concern.”
Then, one minute later, when we asked for understanding, he said:
”I have to think about my business.”
There is no logic. It felt like he just wanted to show his power and punish us for asking.
The result? Nothing changed. Ross Bautista tried, but his hands were tied. Robin Bernard simply confirmed his original decision and showed zero empathy.
As long as Mr. Robin Bernard is the General Manager, we will never return to this hotel. His arrogance, empty promises, and complete lack of care for families with children and special dietary needs are destroying the reputation of this Sheraton.
To other Muslim families or anyone traveling with young children: I strongly recommend choosing a different hotel. Here, your needs will be ignored if the manager does not feel like helping.

Pros:
- It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel!
- Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people.
- Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless.
- I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help.
Cons:
- The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours.
- The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences.
- The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby.
- Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

PPaNicIl resort è curatissimo e il personale è impeccabile da tutti i punti di vista. Pulizia perfetta. La stanza carina, il bagno enorme e comodissimo tuttavia sia in camera che in bagno l'odore di umido è molto forte nonostante l'aria condizionata funzioni molto bene e ci siano anche ottimi ventilatori a soffitto. Comunque il letto e le lenzuola non odorano di umido e quindi va molto bene. Il letto e i cuscini sono conodi. La colazione è pazzesca! La scelta è infinita sia per occidentali che asiatici. La quaita' del cibo e del servizio molto alta. La spiaggia è curata, si può fare snorkelling in una area ristretta e cintrollata, comunque nulla di che...la piscina è bella anche se troppo affollata. In generale non è una location particolarmente interessante e i dintorni del resort sono proprio in pessime condizioni e il traffico è terribile per cui i tempi di percorrenza in auto sono lunghissimi.

UUtente ospiteStaff were really friendly and helpful. From the check in to restaurant staffs. The housekeeping staff were awesome. They did a really good job keeping our rooms neat and tidy everyday. Breakfast buffet was basic and had plenty flies but it’s a resort so it’s pretty much expected. Could appreciate some sort of a deterrent . Hotel beach front was great compared to crimson. Would suggest some light music for ambience. Location of the hotel is convenient. The children enjoyed the 3 swimming pools and the Mrs loved the spa. Overall they lived up the 4 star resort hotel experience and expectations.

CClaireKI recently had the pleasure of staying at Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The resort is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by clear blue waters that create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The tranquil environment made it an ideal choice for a quick getaway.
The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay.
One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort.
However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return.
Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests.
In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

UUtente ospiteI booked for a room with pool view which is more expensive than the rest of the rooms but i was greatly disappointed. We were placed in a room with a roof view and the view of another building! It was a waste of money! We only get to see the roof of something! Never again would i be paying extra money for a pool view when the hotel will not give us such kind of room as advertised. They said they will transfer us to a room with a pool view but it did not happen. We kept on waiting but it did not happen until we gave up.
The receptionist was a little disrespectful and impatient.
Worse still, they do not allow guests who have checked in the hotel to use the pool with inflatable play set and slides. I was mislead into thinking that guests can use the pool with inflatable play set for free. The hotel guests have to pay P600 per person in order for one to be able to use such pool and slides. I guess families with children have been more disappointed than me knowing that they and their kids could not use such pool for free.
So those who will try to book this hotel hoping their kids can enjoy the pool with inflatable play set and slides for free, think again. You will be greatly disappointed because you will only be able to use the ordinary pools.

JJpg ZanoriaLa nostra stanza a Dusit Thani era molto piacevole, le camere erano confortevoli, la proprietà era ben mantenuta e l'atmosfera generale soddisfa le nostre aspettative per un soggiorno rilassante.
Tuttavia, l’esperienza di check-in era piuttosto difficile, e non ero presente fisicamente durante l’ispezione, mentre la mia famiglia mi precedeva. Nonostante l'invio di un'e-mail e la chiamata per autorizzarli, il desktop frontale non ha consentito alla mia famiglia di accedere a me, causando inutili inconvenienti e ritardi.
Pur comprendendo l'importanza della sicurezza, il processo mi ha reso troppo rigido e mi ha reso incomodo con la mancanza di flessibilità e fiducia che si estende agli ospiti, soprattutto per le prenotazioni pre-riservate e confermate con una comunicazione chiara.
Per gli ospiti che prenotano più camere o che arrivano separatamente, consiglio vivamente di registrare gli ospiti che verranno a soggiornare in ogni camera in anticipo per evitare problemi simili.
In generale, il soggiorno stesso è stato piacevole, ma spero che l'hotel possa migliorare le procedure di check-in per essere più accogliente, pur mantenendo la sicurezza.
