Hotel sul mare a Cebu

La terza mattina sono andato alla colazione a buffet dell'hotel e ho scelto un altro sapore. Dopo cena, siamo andati alla spiaggia dell'hotel per giocare. L'hotel ha fornito kayak gratuito per mezz'ora. Abbiamo anche preso il ginseng di mare, che era così denso e denso. La gente del posto ci ha detto che potevamo mangiarlo, ma è stato un peccato che non c'era modo di elaborarlo se l'hotel potesse fornirlo, quanto è buono il trattamento come in Cina. La sera puoi prendere il motoscafo dello staff dell'hotel fuori dall'isola e puoi prendere un autobus tuk-tuk alla porta. Se riesci a parlare con duecento persone, può portarti a Mobao Town, mangiare e fare shopping , e chiedigli di aspettarti e di riportarti indietro allo stesso prezzo. Molto felice. Dopo essere rimasto per tre giorni, la prima notte sono stato morso da una pulce e mi ha solo morso. Era a letto perché la mattina dopo avevo sempre delle macchie rosse in più sul corpo. Si spera che la gestione in questo settore venga rafforzata. Per il resto tutto soddisfacente. L'unico inconveniente è che i morsi delle pulci mi fanno prudere.

L'atmosfera era incantevole e il verde circostante era splendido e rilassante. La camera era spaziosa e confortevole. L'acqua del bagno era salata, il che mi ha sorpreso, ma immagino sia inevitabile in un paese straniero. La sala colazioni era nuova, pulita e meravigliosa! Il personale era cordiale ed efficiente, cosa che ho apprezzato. Sono stati anche gentili con noi, nonostante non parlassimo inglese. Tuttavia, dopo il check-out e mentre aspettavamo un taxi alla reception, il personale della hall ci ha ripetutamente chiesto: ”Avete già effettuato il check-out?”, il che è stato spiacevole. Sarebbe andato bene se l'avessero chiesto solo una volta, ma l'hanno chiesto due volte e poi una terza volta ci hanno chiesto il numero della camera. Avrebbero dovuto chiederci nome e numero di camera fin dall'inizio. Essere guardati con sospetto è spiacevole e maleducato. A parte quel membro dello staff, tutti sono stati gentili e abbiamo trascorso un piacevole soggiorno, quindi nel complesso è andata bene.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The resort is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by clear blue waters that create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The tranquil environment made it an ideal choice for a quick getaway. The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort. However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return. Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

Abbiamo adorato soggiornare in questa posizione. La nostra camera era proprio sull'acqua, con viste mozzafiato sia al mattino che alla sera. Ampio spazio per riporre le cose e bagno spazioso. L'hotel dispone di un ottimo centro immersioni che noleggia anche attrezzature per lo snorkeling di ogni tipo fino a tarda notte. La piscina era pulita e c'era persino un bar all'interno. Il nostro unico problema è stata la bassissima pressione dell'acqua nella doccia, che ha reso un po' difficile lavare i capelli lunghi. Anche se siete lontani dalla strada principale della città, a circa 8 minuti a piedi troverete alcuni altri hotel/ristoranti e attività ricreative proprio accanto all'ingresso dell'hotel.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Orchid, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a  view of the ocean over the treetops. It felt peaceful and private — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. The staff were exceptional — so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They helped me plan a surprise proposal for my fiancé, offering suggestions for the perfect location and ultimately arranging for us to use their private rooftop. They also coordinated a romantic dinner there just for us, ensuring we had complete privacy. It was an unforgettable evening, and I’m so grateful for the care they put into making it so special. The resort arranged our transportation both from our previous hotel in Mactan and later to Cebu Pier 1, which made travel stress-free. We also booked canyoneering and an introductory scuba dive through them. The instructors were fantastic — very patient and reassuring, especially when I became nervous underwater and couldn’t finish the dive. While the resort is a bit removed from the busier Panagsama Beach area, that was a huge plus for us. We wanted somewhere quiet, scenic, and romantic, and Blue Orchid delivered exactly that. The restaurant doesn’t have a massive menu, but the food was consistently delicious, portions were perfect, and prices were very fair. Even though there wasn’t a kettle in the room, hot water, coffee and tea was readily available and it was never an inconvenience since everything was close by. We also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed — it added to the tropical charm, though we didn’t need it because insects were never an issue. We even spotted a tiny gecko in our room upon arrival, but it was harmless and quickly disappeared — just part of the island’s character! Overall, the Blue Orchid was everything we hoped for: quiet, romantic, and welcoming. The staff helped make one of the most meaningful moments of our lives absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it, especially to LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a peaceful and genuinely inclusive place to stay in Moalboal. When we do a return trip to the area, we will stay here again. 

Frequento il Costabella da quasi 20 anni e l'ho sempre considerato un hotel piacevole e ben tenuto. Anzi, mi sono persino sposato qui! Tuttavia, durante il mio ultimo soggiorno, l'esperienza è stata decisamente al di sotto delle aspettative. Avevamo prenotato una camera con vista piscina e, dopo il check-in, sono rimasto sinceramente sorpreso di scoprire che la camera si trovava al terzo piano. In base alle mie numerose esperienze precedenti, avevo sempre pensato che le camere con vista piscina fossero quelle adiacenti alla piscina al piano terra. Se prenotate una camera con vista piscina, tenete presente che potrebbe non essere così e che le vostre aspettative dovrebbero essere ridimensionate di conseguenza. La camera in sé era un po' datata, ma pulita, confortevole e ben tenuta. Il servizio di pulizia è stato costante per tutta la durata del soggiorno, il che ha contribuito a compensare l'arredamento un po' datato. L'area della piscina è relativamente piccola ma generalmente ben tenuta. Purtroppo, era estremamente affollata durante il giorno a causa del gran numero di visitatori con il pass giornaliero. Di conseguenza, per la maggior parte della giornata non c'erano lettini o sdraio disponibili per gli ospiti dell'hotel, il che è stato deludente. Nota positiva: la spiaggia era pulita e piacevole. La delusione principale è stata il cibo. La colazione a buffet non meriterebbe più di 4 su 10. Gran parte del cibo non era stato rifornito, compresi i distributori di succhi e caffè vuoti, e ciò che rimaneva era freddo e poco invitante. Tuttavia, la situazione era migliore il secondo giorno. Anche la cena è stata altrettanto deludente. Diverse portate principali sono state servite fredde e hanno dovuto essere rimandate in cucina due volte. Alla fine, abbiamo annullato due piatti di pesce, poiché il riscaldamento ha sollevato dubbi sulla qualità e la sicurezza alimentare. La bistecca, che un tempo era uno dei punti di forza del Costabella per me, era estremamente dura e ben al di sotto degli standard a cui ero abituato. Nel complesso, il Costabella conserva ancora molti aspetti positivi, ma questo soggiorno non ha rispecchiato gli standard a cui ero abituato e sarà la mia ultima visita. A meno che la qualità del cibo e la gestione della capacità ricettiva non migliorino, trovo difficile consigliare il Costabella sulla base di questa recente esperienza.

This turned out to be an incredible choice for our family; Though it is a refurbished property, the rooms' size is very good. The beach was nice and the most astonishing thing for us was the small rock formation near its beach, which hosted an incredible variety of fish and other forms of life. Just a pair of swimming googles or the snorkeling rental equipment here could get one ready in a matter of minutes from your room. The breakfast spread was good and the 'chocolate hour' in the afternoon was a hit amongst all kids and adults.

Location wise, this is pefect. You can just take any public transport and you are there when you get off. The staff are very well trained, very nice and very polite. Everything looked very clean and even if the hotel is not that big, they had a badminton/volleball courts. There is enough beach front to walk around. For a Lapu-lapu beach, their beach is clean enough as well. They had plenty of covered lounge couches to enjoy beach front even under the sun. The pool is small but it feels clean. We paid an extra ₱ 500 to get the ”upgrade” for the ocean view and it was our biggest mistake causing us to lose sleep. Apparently, the room assigned to us was part of an adjoining room and the sound insulation was terrible. We can hear everything happening in the other room and unfortunately the couple in the other room were going at it very loudly (the girl was shouting) until around 5 in the morning. We don't recommend the breakfast buffet as well especially if you are paying the extra ₱1,100 for another person. Very few choices, very salty meat dishes and we don't know exactly what caused it but we had a stomachache after breakfast.

We stayed at Vistamar Resort in Mactan from October 11–13, and overall, it was a wonderful and restful experience. The facilities are a bit outdated, but everything worked fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable, linens fresh, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Wi-Fi connection was good, and we enjoyed having free access to Netflix in our room. Food was okay, and we appreciated the 30% discount for in-house guests at the restaurant. Corkage is allowed without any fees, which was a plus. They even gave us complimentary use of the billiards table for my daughter’s birthday—something we truly appreciated. The beach was clean and calm, perfect for swimming or relaxing. We hope the beach hours could be extended from 6 AM to 6 PM, so guests can enjoy early morning dips or sunset views. The pool area could use a bit more maintenance, but it’s not a big issue. Despite some aging facilities, the quiet, peaceful environment made it an ideal place to unwind. We’re grateful for the experience and will definitely be coming back. 🫶🏻

Il personale era molto accogliente e attento per tutta la nostra permanenza. Il cibo al ristorante era piuttosto costoso, tuttavia. La spiaggia stessa non è la più bella, ma diventa molto più bella durante l'alta tempesta. E' stato bello per noi, perché siamo andati principalmente a prendere la piscina per mia figlia. Mi piaceva anche il posto perché non era pieno, il che rendeva il soggiorno più rilassante.
