Hotel con spa a Hangzhou

Rose Garden is so clean, quiet, beautiful , lovely, wonderful both indoor and outdoor pool, the garden is beautiful, the staff is very 5⭐️ they are there all the time ready to help but not in you face. The Chinese restaurant there is a little expensive but good, the morning breakfast is good and there are coffee machines in the room ✨ We love this hotel and have for years! I do miss that they had a few snack things you could buy not too expensive and inexpensive ice cream, some small food things, since you need to taxi to place outside . We noticed that the hotel is suffering a dampness issue and some of the rooms have black mold around the air conditioner. We hope that will be sorted out properly 🌹 We are coming back next year and can’t wait 💖 thank you everyone at Rose Garden for making our trip to Hangzhou so wonderful ✨

It was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could. The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright. All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door. Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today). Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima, situato in una valle vicino al Lago Xianghu, con un ambiente tranquillo e un paesaggio mozzafiato, perfetto per una vacanza. Il servizio della reception e del servizio in camera è lodevole, in particolare il servizio di Julia è stato molto soddisfacente. Anche il ristorante occidentale, il ristorante cinese e il bar sono buoni; i prezzi, medio-alti, sono ragionevoli. Dopo aver soggiornato per due notti, abbiamo prolungato il soggiorno di un'altra notte. L'hotel è sorprendente. La bellezza del paesaggio e la comodità della suite che abbiamo soggiornato erano fuori dalle parole. A stay at Banyan Tree Hangzhou feels less like a city hotel and more like disappearing into a private water village. The resort sits inside the famed Xixi Wetlands nature reserve, surrounded by canals, bamboo, gardens, bridges, and misty greenery—yet it’s still relatively close to central Hangzhou and West Lake. The Architecture draws from traditional Jiangnan water-town style: whitewashed walls, dark wood, tiled roofs, carved screens, courtyards, and stone pathways. It’s especially beautiful in early morning fog or after rain, when the wetlands feel cinematic. Rooms are unusually spacious. Even entry-level categories are large suites, while villas add outdoor soaking areas, private courtyards, or pools depending on category. Interiors mix classic Chinese design touches with luxury comforts—heated floors, deep bathtubs, generous bathrooms, and plush bedding. Excellent !

We stayed at the residence for 2 nights and was absolutely well taken care of by the team. The residence was huge with its own private gym, living room and dining area. Rooms had individual access which gave security. Have told the staff to include some utensils and cutleries in the residence so we could self serve at night after ordering supper. Breakfast was lovely, we chose to have it in the residence on the second day. Sound bath experience was also great. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone, it became our highlight for Hangzhou!

Very nice and comfy hotel. Good location with around 10 mins walks from the HangZhou east station. Breakfast was nice and there was free self-service washing machine and dryer.

La doccia in hotel non è molto comoda Anche se ci sono altre stanze, l'acqua calda deve aspettare a lungo, quindi è molto scomoda! Quindi il primo giorno ho fatto una doccia fredda. Per fortuna faceva molto caldo, altrimenti sarei impazzita🤣 Inoltre, il design del lato della vasca da bagno era leggermente difettoso, quindi quando sono entrato per fare il bagno mi sono tagliato il piede. L'hotel ha pochi servizi, ma per fortuna ci sono alcune attività, tè, campane tibetane, e gli insegnanti sono molto gentili e attenti, quindi l'intera esperienza è molto bella! Ciò che mi ha colpito profondamente di questo hotel è stato il fatto che ogni personale di servizio mi ha accolto con un sorriso e il servizio è stato molto buono, specialmente uno staff di servizio di nome Xiaoxia era molto attento! Dalla prima volta che ho prenotato una camera con loro fino all'ultima volta che è successo qualcosa dopo il check-in, mi ha aiutato con le questioni successive il prima possibile!
