UUtente ospiteOnce in a while, we have the rare privilege of staying somewhere that exemplifies all that is good about travel. Nguluko is one such place.
As the photos suggest, the hotel is beautifully designed. It’s a zen-like, modern annex, connected to Liusan’s generational home. What a curious privilege it is, to be able to join her family around the home’s traditional Naxi courtyard for a bonfire dance, before retreating upstairs to a room of luxurious comforts, including an actual Dyson hairdryer and electronic toilet.
But more important is what the photos cannot capture. In an age of faceless travel, dominated by flavourless hotel chains and mass-produced group tours, it’s rare to be able to feel a connection with folks eager to share a little slice of their life with you. Whether it be a morning stroll around the old village, a sharing session on Naxi culture and Dongba script, or even the aforementioned bonfire dance (replete with lived-in details like the family’s aging hams dangling off the awnings), it harkens back to a more serendipitous style of travel that made me smile.
Even meals (all-inclusive!) are a chance to experience local culture. Locally foraged bracken and morels make an appearance, as do different varieties of liangfen, and Lijiang-style baba. There’s also the most moreish chicken hotpot — which I was going to drive out of the way to Luguzhen to try — but which she ended up serving for dinner on the second night. I’m quite obsessive when it comes to food, and yet everything I wanted to try here, except perhaps the rainbow trout and yak, were cooked up and served.
Some small things could be improved: many stairways lack railings for the mobility impaired, and the ‘October’ room has an odd bathroom design where the toilet cubicle barely has space to close when one is seated. But such issues pale in comparison to the overall experience. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give it is that in a world filled with a million wonderful destinations, this is one place I would choose to return to.

UUtente ospiteHo avuto un ottimo soggiorno a Manqiwan Homestay a Lijiang. L'ambiente è tranquillo, bellissimo e molto rilassante. La stanza era pulita, comoda e concisa, dando un senso molto confortevole per tutto il soggiorno.
La posizione è anche molto conveniente, rendendo facile esplorare la città antica di Lijiang, pur godendo ancora un’atmosfera tranquilla e tranquilla. Sono stati molto amichevoli, molto utili, e ci hanno fatto sentire davvero benvenuti.

A fantastic stay at Rishine Golden Sunrise Vista. The room has a really thoughtful design layout — stylish, comfortable, and well-appointed. One of the standout features was the sunken bathtub in the room, a lovely touch that added to the whole experience.
The real showstopper is the view, we had an unobstructed look at Jade Snow Mountain from our room, absolutely breathtaking.
The location is ideal too, just a short taxi ride to Baisha Ancient Town.
The staff were excellent throughout, friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful whenever we needed anything.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special, peaceful stay near Lijiang with a view you won't forget.

Parliamo di cose buone prima.
1.Le camere di Snow Mountain View possono vedere il sole Golden Mountain dal letto.
2. La posizione è buona per andare a montagna di neve. Ci vorranno circa 20 minuti per raggiungere il centro visitatore della montagna di neve.
3. Il servizio è molto buono. Puoi chiedere qualsiasi cosa e forniranno ad esempio un involucro di bolle per imballare i nostri negozi fragili. Ci sono anche servizi di lavanderia gratuito.
4. Bene per coloro che amano le attività incluse nel pacchetto di stanza.Abbiamo fatto la visita a casa Naxi, cavalcare e arte e artigianato dimorano e godevano molto. Anche noi piace il tè pomeriggio fornito. E possiamo avere il caffè e i frutti quanto vogliamo.
Adesso, alcuni punti sono da notare.
1. La camera è un po'piccola per tre di noi. Il bagno è come un cubico doccia che apre nella stanza. Siamo solo scoprito il cambio di ventilazione im nel mezzo del soggiorno e ci chiedevamo perché il cubico è così stufo, non parlare dell'odore. Con la ventilazione, i problemi sono risolti, il cubico del doccia è opposto al bacino tra loro, tutto aperto nella stanza senza partizione intorno alla zona del bagno. Le pareti del bagno e dei cubi da doccia sono di vetro congelato e sono accettabili per me e per le mie figlie, tutte le signore.
2. Il villaggio è molto piccolo. Non molto da vedere. Abbiamo andato a un caffè popolare su Internet che può prendere foto sul tetto con la montagna di neve in fondo. Le bevande sono buone, ma la pasta non è bello. Forse è per questo che questo ristorante non è nell'elenco raccomandato dell'hotel. Non abbiamo esplorato il villaggio molto, ma da quello che vedo, è solo una strada corta.
3.Chiedi una camera di terzo piano.Ha un tetto celeste sopra il letto e vediamo stelle quando speniamo tutte le luci nella stanza.
In generale, non ci dispiacevamo della nostra decisione di rimanere qui nel Stone Lodge, ma se le attività non fossero state incluse nel pacchetto, non le avremmo mai sperimentate.

The accommodation itself exceeds a 5-star hotel standard. From the moment you enter the room, it is clear that every element has been carefully considered. The design, attention to detail, and overall comfort reflect the work of a top-tier designer. As designers ourselves, we truly appreciated the thoughtful colour schemes, lighting choices, and smart conveniences throughout the space. Features such as the fully automatic toilet, comfortable shower, and stylish humidifier added to the sense of luxury and refinement.
It is this meticulous attention to detail that truly sets this accommodation apart from others.
Location:
Located in Yuhu Village, a charming Naxi village, the setting is both authentic and peaceful. The village atmosphere, friendly locals, and lovely coffee shops and bakeries make it a joy to explore. A particular highlight is the close-up view of Yulong Snow Mountain, which adds a breathtaking natural backdrop to the entire experience.
Customer Service & Staff:
The customer service was outstanding. We received thoughtful, personalised tips and guidance to make our stay in Lijiang as enjoyable as possible—far from generic recommendations, the suggestions were clearly tailored to our personal interests and needs.
The staff are exceptionally warm, friendly, and generous, and they genuinely make you feel welcome. It is evident that they love what they do, and that passion translates into an atmosphere where guests truly feel valued. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay.

1.The vista dal balcone che ho prenotato non è come annunciato (Pago extra per questa vista, vedi la foto in viaggio) e è anche vicino alla cimitero ( Mi piacerebbe stare nella stanza al posto opposto)
2.L'acqua calda non è stabile perché era troppo calda, calda, semplicemente retta, fredda e troppo fredda.Questo è il modo in cui si fa la doccia.

HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan.
From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking.
The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations.
The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away.
What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

One of the highlights was being able to enjoy a stunning view of Yulong Snow Mountain directly from the room, which made the stay feel even more special and unforgettable. The amenities were also excellent, especially the Le Labo toiletries, which added a lovely touch of luxury.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the exceptional service from our butler, 小杨. He was incredibly attentive, warm, thoughtful, and professional throughout the entire stay. From the smallest details to every request we had, he handled everything with patience, efficiency, and genuine care. What impressed us most was not only his responsiveness, but also his sincerity always made us feel welcomed, remembered, and truly looked after.
小杨 went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. His service was never just formal or routine; it felt personal, heartfelt, and full of warmth. He anticipated our needs, checked in on us appropriately, and made every arrangement feel effortless. Because of him, the stay felt less like a hotel visit and more like being warmly hosted by someone who truly cared. CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
