This old dog picked this place as a first-timer to Changbaishan because on paper it reads like a dream:
✔️ 5-minute walk to the Changbai Mountain VIP entrance
✔️ Hot springs inside the compound
✔️ “Eco-exchange” — which I later learned refers to exchanging comfort for character development
Location? Prime marrow bone. 🦴
Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course.
The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building.
In winter.
On ice.
With wind that slaps.
Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up.
To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾
Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc.
The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸
Then there’s the hot spring schedule.

⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly.
Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus.
At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for.
It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs.
Trip.com, if you’re listening:
no guest should ever be pressured to review.
The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative.
This old dog is an independent reviewer.
I don’t bark on command.
I don’t roll over for stars.
And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle.
Still — despite the ice, the walking, the soul-searching — the location alone makes this a smart base for Changbaishan first-timers.
Just come prepared with:

22Yann3I had an amazing stay at Floral Baihe. The entire place is exceptionally clean, and the location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk to plenty of restaurants. The surroundings are peaceful and serene, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff ( especially 韩丹) were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

HHannahMErdaobaihe is a really sweet, cozy little town. Although it’s not located in the main town area, it is just opposite the beautiful pine forest, which makes the surroundings very peaceful.
There are free buses available to travel within the town, which is very convenient. However, as we can’t read Chinese, we mostly relied on Didi instead.
Getting a Didi can be a bit challenging due to the limited number of drivers, but as long as you’re willing to wait 5–15 minutes, you should be able to get one. The people in the town are very warm and welcoming.
We visited Enduli, and it was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The morning view from our room was magical. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet with a heated seat, which was a nice touch.
There was a small issue where we found a strand of hair on the bed when we opened the bedsheet. We didn’t make a fuss as I had my own disposable bedsheet prepared. Despite this minor incident, the overall stay was wonderful.
What really made this place special was Aunty Wu. She was always there for us and even woke up at 6am just to bid us goodbye. When we were looking for laundry services, she kindly offered to wash our clothes in-house. With my OCD, I was especially touched that she even warmed my laundry bag for me - such a thoughtful gesture.
Will definitely be back

TTan CK 9320Ho avuto un ottimo soggiorno al Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel! L'hotel è molto conveniente, rendendolo una grande opzione per i viaggiatori di bilancio senza compromettere il comfort. Ciò che realmente si è reso evidente è l'incredibile ospite del proprietario. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, il proprietario ha lasciato il loro modo per rendere la nostra permanenza facile e piacevole. Hanno fornito trasporto dalla stazione di Changbaishan all'hotel e hanno anche offerto di portarci alle attrazioni locali senza alcun costo aggiuntivo, che ha reso molto più facile l'esplorazione della zona. Le foto qui sotto mostrano che il proprietario ci ha portati alle attrazioni, che è stato un toccamento così pensabile!
L'hotel è situato proprio nella città, quindi è molto conveniente. Ci sono molte opzioni alimentari vicino, così come un negozio di comodità, che ha reso molto facile prendere snacks o essenze. Le camere erano pulite, confortevoli e ben mantenute, e l'ambiente generale dell'hotel era benvenuto e accogliente.
Il proprietario è una persona gentile e pensante, sempre pronto a aiutare e a garantire agli ospiti un soggiorno tranquillo e piacevole.

UUtente ospiteIl viaggio è arrivato alla fine di dicembre. Il proprietario dell'hotel ci saluterà attraverso il viaggio per portarci alla stazione alla stazione (gratuito).
- La stanza è pulita con acqua calda; c’è un po’ di fumo, ma il vetro si gira per ventilare e è andato; la vista della stanza vicino al fiume è bella.
- Per quanto riguarda il servizio alimentare qui, c'è un cuoco che cucina deliziosi cibi. Se si arriva, si può cercare di ordinare un menu di pollo con cotone intrecciato per provare. Sale dolce, olio, erbacea, ma non grassa. compreso l'alloggio, c'è un caffè di tè latte per persone che vogliono anche bere.
- In termini di servizio Ecco il servizio è molto buono. Possiamo lasciare che il cervello e permettere al proprietario dell'hotel di scegliere quale attività andare. Ci sarà una macchina per prendere e cadere La maggior parte di loro prenderà molto tempo (se non vai a Tianchi perché l'hotel è abbastanza vicino alla zona di attività in generale)
- Attività che l'hotel vi porta a
1) Vedere il cuoio - camminare dalla scuola. Ci sono due cuoio vicino, molto carino.
2) Rafting - bella vista, più quando si raggiunge la fine dell'acqua, scendete all'area dell'hotel, dopo aver giocato, si può andare all'hotel.
3) Skiing - L'hotel dispone di attrezzature di base, quindi non è necessario affittare molto più (come camicie, pantaloncini, mutandine da torta usate come sicure, molto carino).
4) Pesca - Nella zona di attività, un zio viene a insegnarvi come.
La pesca è caduta su dieci pezzi. Dopo l'atterraggio, puoi grigliare e mangiare. Sono in grado di spruzzare polvere, non lo so, ma è molto deliziosa. È così deliziosa che la luce viene fuori dalla tua bocca. Devo provare all'area di attività, ci saranno i tacchi di Shabu.Il tacchino di pane caldo è anche in vendita.
5) Caffè Tea Shop - Il Tea Shop ha una serie di dessert. Per il tè, ci sono tè latte e tè caldo cinese. Questo è anche molto delizioso. Voglio che lo provate.
Il personale qui prende cura di loro. Viaggiamo molto. Chiunque venga a Harbin, cerca di visitare Changbaishan. Il prezzo non è costoso. Le attività sono strette.

Provided convenient drop off to hot spring and the VIP channel was worth the money, saved alot of time and was hassle free. Due to location cant really order take out and nearby restaurant closes at around 930pm or so. So its better to by snacks before heading to hotel. Even though hotel does provide some fruit and yogurt for its customers.
Provided pick up service from the station and drop off. Reception was far from the front of the hotel so when we were getting pick up to go back to station we stood out in the cold for 20min+. Hotel staff said it would arrive at like 2:30pm but didnt come until 2:55pm. Since we didnt want to miss the bus we couldnt go back to the reception as it was like a 5min walk (Can refer to night pic, cant even see the reception building from closer to front of hotel). Visitors should consider waiting longer at reception before heading out as thr bus picks up other visitors from the hotel first.
Overall good exp. We saw small cute foxes out at night too.

They helped arrange transport and sight seeing activities - the couple who manage the place in particular were super friendly. Its well located near the entry of Changbaishan Scenic Park gate. They are quite close to Tiger Mountain ski resort, which is can cater for skiers from beginners to more advanced. There is a hot spring in the hotel and our package included breakfast and dinner,which was good. It has been renovated in last year or so.

However, the most memorable part of my stay was the outstanding service I received from the moment I checked in. Chen Yuanyuan (陈园园), the hotel staff, was an absolute delight. She is always smiling, polite, and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beginning, she warmly escorted us to our room and took the time to explain all the hotel amenities in detail. Her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She proactively connected with me on WeChat to ensure quick responses to any requests we had. The next morning, she personally reminded us about breakfast and even offered to come to our room to guide us to the restaurant. Her dedication was evident as she stayed until we were seated comfortably in the buffet area. Even after checkout, her exceptional service continued. She presented us with lovely hotel gifts and waited with us until our taxi arrived, ensuring a smooth departure. Chen Yuanyuan’s service attitude is truly commendable. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism set a high standard for hospitality. She is undoubtedly a role model for her peers and a huge asset to the hotel. This experience reinforced my belief that service in China is truly excellent, and it’s because of staff like her that I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Changbaishan in a different season. We booked the Gyegok trekking through Trip.com, but as foreigners, we had trouble communicating with the trekking company. The manager helped us, and we had a wonderful time that will remain a pleasant memory.
If we have the chance to come to Changbai Mountain again, we would definitely choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We are truly grateful for the warm hearts of all the staff.
Also, grilling skewers and enjoying a glass of soju in the hotel parking lot was an unforgettable delight.
