This old dog picked this place as a first-timer to Changbaishan because on paper it reads like a dream:
✔️ 5-minute walk to the Changbai Mountain VIP entrance
✔️ Hot springs inside the compound
✔️ “Eco-exchange” — which I later learned refers to exchanging comfort for character development
Location? Prime marrow bone. 🦴
Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course.
The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building.
In winter.
On ice.
With wind that slaps.
Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up.
To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾
Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc.
The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸
Then there’s the hot spring schedule.

⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly.
Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus.
At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for.
It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs.
Trip.com, if you’re listening:
no guest should ever be pressured to review.
The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative.
This old dog is an independent reviewer.
I don’t bark on command.
I don’t roll over for stars.
And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle.
Still — despite the ice, the walking, the soul-searching — the location alone makes this a smart base for Changbaishan first-timers.
Just come prepared with:

Solo inconveniente è che le auto non sono autorizzate nel villaggio, quindi dobbiamo andare alla porta per chiamare per un giro.

HHannahMErdaobaihe is a really sweet, cozy little town. Although it’s not located in the main town area, it is just opposite the beautiful pine forest, which makes the surroundings very peaceful.
There are free buses available to travel within the town, which is very convenient. However, as we can’t read Chinese, we mostly relied on Didi instead.
Getting a Didi can be a bit challenging due to the limited number of drivers, but as long as you’re willing to wait 5–15 minutes, you should be able to get one. The people in the town are very warm and welcoming.
We visited Enduli, and it was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The morning view from our room was magical. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet with a heated seat, which was a nice touch.
There was a small issue where we found a strand of hair on the bed when we opened the bedsheet. We didn’t make a fuss as I had my own disposable bedsheet prepared. Despite this minor incident, the overall stay was wonderful.
What really made this place special was Aunty Wu. She was always there for us and even woke up at 6am just to bid us goodbye. When we were looking for laundry services, she kindly offered to wash our clothes in-house. With my OCD, I was especially touched that she even warmed my laundry bag for me - such a thoughtful gesture.
Will definitely be back

UUtente ospiteL'hotel Crowne Plaza è ben attrezzato con onsen e bambini divertenti dispositivi di slitta in inverno. C'è una passeggiata lontano dall'ingresso di Changbaishan e la navetta di ritorno all'hotel. Ma alcune strutture vengono a pagamento. Per i bambini di sopra 1.4m è pagato per le tariffe per colazione adulti e non per la selezione di cena. La dimensione del letto per la condivisione gemella è spaziosa. Ma, ho trovato che la qualità della matrigna ha bisogno di più miglioramento per un miglior comfort. Butler Yuki (yue) fornisce un servizio molto buono per la comodità e il comfort durante il nostro soggiorno. In generale è accettabile e alcuni miglioramenti sono necessari.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and some rooms have a view of the river. But it's too far from town and there is not any restaurant and shop around. If you are convenience-conscious, need to think twice.

Provided convenient drop off to hot spring and the VIP channel was worth the money, saved alot of time and was hassle free. Due to location cant really order take out and nearby restaurant closes at around 930pm or so. So its better to by snacks before heading to hotel. Even though hotel does provide some fruit and yogurt for its customers.
Provided pick up service from the station and drop off. Reception was far from the front of the hotel so when we were getting pick up to go back to station we stood out in the cold for 20min+. Hotel staff said it would arrive at like 2:30pm but didnt come until 2:55pm. Since we didnt want to miss the bus we couldnt go back to the reception as it was like a 5min walk (Can refer to night pic, cant even see the reception building from closer to front of hotel). Visitors should consider waiting longer at reception before heading out as thr bus picks up other visitors from the hotel first.
Overall good exp. We saw small cute foxes out at night too.

UUtente ospiteHotel service was excellent, as they went above and beyond to help us during our stay. They helped arrange transport and sight seeing activities - the couple who manage the place in particular were super friendly. Its well located near the entry of Changbaishan Scenic Park gate. They are quite close to Tiger Mountain ski resort, which is can cater for skiers from beginners to more advanced. There is a hot spring in the hotel and our package included breakfast and dinner,which was good. It has been renovated in last year or so.

UUtente ospiteIl personale era molto gentile e ci colpì con la loro sincera atteggiamento nei confronti degli ospiti.Abbiamo prenotato il trekking Gyegok attraverso Trip.com, ma come stranieri abbiamo avuto problemi di comunicare con la compagnia di trekking. Il manager ci ha aiutati, e abbiamo avuto un tempo meraviglioso che rimarrà una memoria piacevole.
Se avessimo la possibilità di tornare a Changbai Mountain, sicuramente scegliere questo hotel. Le camere sono spaziose, pulite e ben mantenute. Siamo davvero grati per i cuori caldi di tutto il personale.
Inoltre, il parcheggio dell'hotel ha fatto un piacere inoltrare barbecue e un bicchiere di soia.

UUtente ospite這個酒店有點九十年代的感覺，設施稍有陳舊，但是每個細節服務都讓你很舒服，很用心。這趟去金水鶴酒店，酒店免費幫我們升房，早餐品種雖然不太多，但是像媽媽的味道。床品很舒服，隔音也不錯，一覺睡到天亮。酒店很氣派，温泉雖然不算大，但是服務很周到。酒店的服務員都在微笑，而且是自然的微笑，對小朋友們很友好，不像我們在西坡萬達那邊感覺到是一種純商業化的氣氛。就像旁邊的美人松公園那樣自然和諧。
