Era paziente e molto utile e si occupava di tutte le nostre prenotazioni itinerarie e il trasporto. Tutto a un prezzo molto equo. Lei ha spiegato tutto in dettaglio e ha fatto molto onestamente le sue raccomandazioni e le sue accuse, non vendendo in eccesso, eccetera, che erano molto comuni in Cina, e le sue raccomandazioni erano tutte molto appropriate per il mio gruppo di viaggiatori anziani. Ha anche voluto aiutarci a prenotare i biglietti Chang Bai Sha su un chat che non aveva commissioni, e ha anche cercato di risparmiare soldi cercando di inserire tutti i nostri grandi bagagli aerei in una sola macchina. "Changbai Mountain Landscape International Eco-Exchange Center — where “eco-exchange” really means exchanging knee joints for enlightenment 🐕🦺❄️
This old dog picked this place as a first-timer to Changbaishan because on paper it reads like a dream:
✔️ 5-minute walk to the Changbai Mountain VIP entrance
✔️ Hot springs inside the compound
✔️ “Eco-exchange” — which I later learned refers to exchanging comfort for character development
Location? Prime marrow bone. 🦴
Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course.
The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building.
In winter.
On ice.
With wind that slaps.
Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up.
To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾
Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc.
The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸
Then there’s the hot spring schedule.

⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly.
Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus.
At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for.
It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs.
Trip.com, if you’re listening:
no guest should ever be pressured to review.
The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative.
This old dog is an independent reviewer.
I don’t bark on command.
I don’t roll over for stars.
And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle.
Still — despite the ice, the walking, the soul-searching — the location alone makes this a smart base for Changbaishan first-timers.
Just come prepared with:
• good boots
• strong knees
• emotional resilience
• and the confidence to say, “I will rate when I’m ready.”

"Newly built, and nice hotel. Has great self-service laundry and nice gym. Located in Erdaobaihe Town, the hotel is a bit further outskirts so not within walking distance to the Cloud Market but everything is only a 10 min taxi/didi ride away. Also provides free pickup from the high-speed railway station (Changbaishan Station), which is also only 10 mins away.
We got the big family room which was great for 2 adults and 2 small kids.
Breakfast is a decent mix of local and western staples, even some local honey and yogurt. just don't eat the cereal."

Ho vissuto una notte con il mio ragazzo, e in generale sono molto comodo.C'è un campo di giardino accanto all'hotel.La privatezza della piccola villa è molto buona, la stanza è pulita e il letto è anche comodo. Bevande alcoliche in minibar, bevi qualsiasi cosa, questo è un aggiunta.La stazione ferroviaria ad alta velocità ha un trasferimento. Ci abbiamo prenotato nella città e il maestro del conducente è venuto a prenderci. L'atteggiamento del governatore è buono, non mi dispiace, ma c'è qualcosa che può essere trovato in qualsiasi momento.La colazione è buona!
