Hotel Crown a Melbourne

Booked 2 rooms and upgraded to a corner room with views only to spend the whole stay in darkness with no views or natural light as the electric drapes were not working and multiple attempts to fix by maintenance were not succesf. Was told they were coming back to fix but when I went to reception at 7:45pm to ask why they’re not fixed I was told they determined they could not fix until a later date, Requested a room refund from Crown which was declined. Very poor experience and will be taking the request for refund further. With no natural light it was akin to staying in a large dormitory.

Very comfortable and convenient stay. Hotel may be a little dated, but the housekeeping daily is efficient and the rooms are very well maintained. Had a very good stay overall. Sign up as crown member to get free parking as well if driving

If looking for location then Crown Methopol is fantastic. Heading to the city via Tram 🚊 is too easy. Going the opposite direction is South Melbourne Market, 10 - 15 minutes walk. At the market we found lots of good food. Hotel room is specious and have a beautiful view of the river. We received a bottle of champagne 🥂 and little box of chocolate 🍫 as it's our anniversary. Thank you Crown. Buffet breakfast is delicious. We love to go back again.
