We were given a 2 night stay at The Lodge at Seppeltsfield to celebrate a big birthday recently. It transpires The Lodge has been bought back by the Seppeltsfield winery in the last 6 months, so all previous reviews are from former owners. We arrived at 2pm and were met by Jonathan, who's the new Guest Co-ordinator. He was lovely and very welcoming, telling us we had the place to ourselves so could choose which room we'd like. He showed us where the tea/coffee etc was and prepared the fire for the evening. He suggested Room 4 was the 'better' room which we took. It seemed like no one had been in the Lodge recently as it felt cool, albeit heating was on. To be honest, it felt cold and a bit uncared for ... as if previous owners had left and nothing had been done to it since! Perhaps it was because it was such a large 'empty' house for just the 2 of us? There are 5 rooms available - 4 at one end of the house and the others at the front where previous owners lived we believe. There is a commercial kitchen in between. Room 4 was large and comfortable, with tv on wall. Linen and king bed was good. Bathroom, on the other hand, felt a bit tired - shower, loo & basin - with heater lamp to take the chill off. Shower was fine having said that. Jonathan arranged to pop back around 8.15am to do brekky. Choice was fine. Homemade granola, cereal, berry compote and yogurt. He'd got fresh bread from Tanunda on way over. Tea & pod coffee available, with juices. Menu offered eggs in various guises, if required. Oh, forgot to mention, Anzac bickies were left to enjoy at any time! Honesty bar available - Seppeltsfield wines and local gins, and free glass of tawny port too. Appreciate its Winter, but front garden was in need of a **** and tidy! We enjoyed exploring an area of Australia we'd never visited before, and sampling Seppeltsfield wines and ports.

La Vina è stata recentemente assunta e rinnovata, in precedenza può essere chiamata Hotel Barossa. Vi sono 40 camere e si trova in una posizione tranquilla insieme a tutto il resto sulla Murray Street a Tanunda. Lievemente nascosta sotto il grande banco della zona di accoglienza era Prahb, il direttore generale; era molto accogliente e aperta a feedback. La stanza stessa era grande, piuttosto standard, ma aveva la maggior parte delle cose che avete bisogno per un breve soggiorno. Il letto era un po' forte per il mio piacere, e le mutandine erano sottili - potrebbe costare di portare il vostro, se siete in particolare. La doccia era probabilmente doppia della dimensione di un alcove ”generoso”, dove si dovevano finire alcune pitture, un ventilatore di soffitto e alcuni ancoraggi o casse. Ho prenotato il nostro soggiorno attraverso un sito web di viaggio e ho ottenuto un fantastico accordo; sicuramente abbiamo sentito un buon valore per i soldi. Lo consiglierei come un bel posto per soggiornare e un facile posto per visitare alcune delle molte cose che il Barossa Valley deve offrire.

La Vina è stata recentemente assunta e rinnovata, in precedenza può essere chiamata Hotel Barossa. Lo consiglierei come un bel posto per soggiornare e un facile posto per visitare alcune delle molte cose che il Barossa Valley deve offrire.

La serata inizia con un'ora felice sul paniere con vino e cocktail che guardano il vigneto. La cena è un gusto multi-curriculare con coppie di vino. Il cibo e il servizio sono insufficienti con un'ottima comprensione del glutine libero, quindi un coeliaco non è compromesso nell'esperienza di mangiare. Anche il colazione è un affare multi-curriculare con i crempetti fatti a casa (sì sono glutine libere) prima della scelta di colazione calda.Tutto è locale, bellamente preparato e delizioso. Kira, uno dei nostri server, aveva una conoscenza locale sorprendente, non solo del vino e del cibo, ma anche della zona e della storia locale. Infatti, tutti i dipendenti, dal cuoco al personale della reception, erano eccellenti - c'è chiaramente un forte impegno per la loro formazione e sviluppo. We were given a 2 night stay at The Lodge at Seppeltsfield to celebrate a big birthday recently. It transpires The Lodge has been bought back by the Seppeltsfield winery in the last 6 months, so all previous reviews are from former owners. We arrived at 2pm and were met by Jonathan, who's the new Guest Co-ordinator. He was lovely and very welcoming, telling us we had the place to ourselves so could choose which room we'd like. He showed us where the tea/coffee etc was and prepared the fire for the evening. He suggested Room 4 was the 'better' room which we took. It seemed like no one had been in the Lodge recently as it felt cool, albeit heating was on. To be honest, it felt cold and a bit uncared for ... as if previous owners had left and nothing had been done to it since! Perhaps it was because it was such a large 'empty' house for just the 2 of us? There are 5 rooms available - 4 at one end of the house and the others at the front where previous owners lived we believe. There is a commercial kitchen in between. Room 4 was large and comfortable, with tv on wall. Linen and king bed was good. Bathroom, on the other hand, felt a bit tired - shower, loo & basin - with heater lamp to take the chill off. Shower was fine having said that. Jonathan arranged to pop back around 8.15am to do brekky. Choice was fine. Homemade granola, cereal, berry compote and yogurt. He'd got fresh bread from Tanunda on way over. Tea & pod coffee available, with juices. Menu offered eggs in various guises, if required. Oh, forgot to mention, Anzac bickies were left to enjoy at any time! Honesty bar available - Seppeltsfield wines and local gins, and free glass of tawny port too. Appreciate its Winter, but front garden was in need of a **** and tidy! We enjoyed exploring an area of Australia we'd never visited before, and sampling Seppeltsfield wines and ports.

La Vina è stata recentemente assunta e rinnovata, in precedenza può essere chiamata Hotel Barossa. Vi sono 40 camere e si trova in una posizione tranquilla insieme a tutto il resto sulla Murray Street a Tanunda. Lievemente nascosta sotto il grande banco della zona di accoglienza era Prahb, il direttore generale; era molto accogliente e aperta a feedback. La stanza stessa era grande, piuttosto standard, ma aveva la maggior parte delle cose che avete bisogno per un breve soggiorno. Il letto era un po' forte per il mio piacere, e le mutandine erano sottili - potrebbe costare di portare il vostro, se siete in particolare. La doccia era probabilmente doppia della dimensione di un alcove ”generoso”, dove si dovevano finire alcune pitture, un ventilatore di soffitto e alcuni ancoraggi o casse. Ho prenotato il nostro soggiorno attraverso un sito web di viaggio e ho ottenuto un fantastico accordo; sicuramente abbiamo sentito un buon valore per i soldi. Lo consiglierei come un bel posto per soggiornare e un facile posto per visitare alcune delle molte cose che il Barossa Valley deve offrire.
