"Bellissima struttura pulita e confortevole. Comoda per chi vuole arrivare con i mezzi pubblici ( a pochi passi dalla fermata del bus) ed a 5 minuti dalla città antica, un po' fuori dal caos.
La camera era perfetta e la comunicazione è stata molto semplice. Ci hanno permesso di fare un late check out senza sovrapprezzo: grazie perché ha decisamente migliorato l'organizzazione della giornata!

out of 3 homestays in Yunnan, this one is the best especially for foreigners! even a 3 star hotel in Kunming couldn’t beat the top notch hospitality of this inn. I stayed with my husband for 3 nights, the room is quite big it can open 3 big suitcases and still has decent space for us to move. all in room facilities worked fine.
what i truly appreciate the most is the super welcoming and helpful owner! when we arrived, she greeted us warmly then she sent us recommendations on where and how to explore Dali in English. later on, she was helping us to make sure the destination we wanted to go to is open or not AND she initiatively helped us in arranging our 1 day trip! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so glad i found and stayed here 👍🏻"

"L'hotel è bellissimo sia nelle aree comuni che nella camera stessa. La camera è spaziosa e il bagno è enorme. Abbiamo ottenuto un upgrade durante il nostro soggiorno. L'hotel è vivace, quindi non dovrete preoccuparvi di portare i bagagli. Ci sono molti ristoranti nelle vicinanze ed è appena fuori dalla strada che porta al centro storico. In circa 15 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro storico principale.
La colazione era deliziosa. Una selezione di piatti caldi e si possono ordinare noodles alla reception principale. Un semplice tè pomeridiano con uno spuntino leggero. Non abbiamo potuto provare l'esperienza dell'hanfu, ma è un bel bonus."

"Ho soggiornato in questo hotel nella Città Antica di Dali per 2 notti con la mia famiglia (3 camere, 6 persone) ed è stata un'esperienza memorabile. 🇲🇾 ✈️ 🇨🇳
Posizione e dintorni:
L'hotel si trova proprio all'interno della Città Antica di Dali, molto vicino al negozio di souvenir più economico che abbia mai trovato in tutto lo Yunnan.
Il panorama circostante è splendido e spettacolare. Pur essendo nel centro della città antica, di notte era tranquillo e sicuro.
Dalla stazione ferroviaria di Dali all'hotel, ho utilizzato DiDi e ho pagato 35,30 yuan (a titolo indicativo, il prezzo può variare a seconda dell'account).
Le auto non possono accedere direttamente all'area dell'hotel. Dovrete percorrere a piedi circa 100-150 metri dalla strada principale. Il sentiero non è molto comodo per i bagagli, quindi preparatevi a trascinarli lentamente.
Ospitalità e servizio:
L'hotel sembra essere gestito da una coppia di coniugi molto gentili. Il marito ci ha gentilmente aspettato all'incrocio della strada principale per aiutarci con i bagagli all'arrivo.
La moglie ha dimostrato grande cura per la nostra famiglia. Dato che viaggiavo con i miei genitori, ci ha offerto delle camere al piano terra per evitare le scale (l'edificio ha 3 piani e non c'è ascensore 😅).
Ci ha persino offerto gratuitamente una delle nostre camere, una più grande. Si è assicurata che il nostro soggiorno fosse tranquillo e confortevole!
Extra:
L'hotel ci ha offerto 1 biglietto gratuito a camera per un tour di un giorno in autobus intorno al lago Erhai. Ho dovuto pagare solo 3 biglietti extra, il che è stato molto economico. La guida dell'autobus parlava solo cinese, ma con la traduzione di WeChat/Alipay non ho avuto problemi.
Per i viaggiatori musulmani: consiglio di acquistare cibo Halal fuori dalla Città Vecchia di Dali, poiché all'interno le opzioni sono limitate.
Gli asciugamani non erano forniti, ma erano disponibili asciugamani monouso (un'esperienza nuova per me). È possibile richiedere asciugamani normali al proprietario.
✅ Nel complesso, questo hotel ci ha offerto più di un semplice alloggio: ci ha offerto gentilezza, attenzione e un'ospitalità indimenticabile. Altamente consigliato per chi desidera soggiornare all'interno dell'antica città di Dali.

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

He then waited to welcomed us at the drop-off point and assisted with our luggages. We were grateful that we got a free upgrade and upon entering the room, we were blown away by the scenic view of erhai lake! Even though the room is located in a condo apartment area, we had no problems putting a pin on the location when booking didi or *******. The bathroom/toilet amenities were one of the best that we’ve enjoyed throughout the trip as it not only comes with a huge bathtub (which was more than enough for 2 adults to enjoy together), but it also has modern furnishings such as automated bidet, massage spa shower, towel dryer rack and also disposables toiletries and towels 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

YYuki Serene AngI had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights!
We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated.
One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions.
The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day.
The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination.
I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage.

房间的设施也非常优秀——温暖的毯子、电热毯、新安装的空调、毛巾、吹风机和热水壶一应俱全。每天早上，马太太都会为我们准备一碗热腾腾、充满心意的面，让我们在温暖中开始美好的一天。
地理位置也非常方便：靠近苍山,三月街 ,大里古城，耳海，周围就是山景与湖景。我们特别喜欢每天清晨坐在顶楼阳台，吹着清凉的晨风，欣赏宁静的山景。马太太还推荐了几家美食，我们都吃得非常满意。
在这里，我们还遇到了来自法国的旅客，马家人通过翻译软件和他们沟通毫无障碍，可见他们接待国际旅客的经验十分丰富。我们也根据马先生的推荐去了丽江——是宽敞舒适的九座车，从民宿直接接送，非常方便。

Ci sono solo 10 stanze in totale. Il servizio è molto attento e premuroso: al momento del check-in viene fornita in regalo una borsa di tela contenente crema solare, tagliaunghie e altri piccoli oggetti di uso quotidiano, scialli, occhiali da sole e ombrelli;
La posizione è nella città antica, tranquilla nel caos. L'isolamento acustico è molto buono e ci sono molti posti deliziosi e divertenti nei dintorni, ma è molto tranquillo non appena entri nell'hotel.
Lo stile decorativo è lo stile retrò che amo moltissimo. È molto raffinato e ha ottimi dettagli. È raro soggiornare in un hotel molto confortevole e confortevole, pulito e accogliente.
La colazione e il tè pomeridiano gratuiti sono sia a buffet che a menu fisso. Sono squisiti e di buon gusto. Il menu cambia ogni giorno.

NNEWJCloud House Hotel is hands down the best lakeside stay we've ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, the service was beyond 5 stars — the staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. They even came to pick us up and carried our bags, which was such a thoughtful touch.
When we wanted to explore the lake on an e-bike, they not only showed us where to rent one but also helped communicate with the rental shop. Truly above and beyond! In the evenings, they served delicious snacks and even prepared a comforting midnight soup — it felt like home.
One of the most memorable moments was when I requested a piece of cake for my kid’s birthday. The next morning at breakfast, they surprised us with a beautifully decorated plate and a complimentary slice of cake. My child was overjoyed and said it was the best birthday ever! The cake was not only thoughtful but also absolutely delicious.
We were also lucky to be upgraded to a room with the best view — waking up to the stunning lake and mountain scenery was magical. The bathroom was modern, clean, and very comfortable.
To top it all off, the whole hotel is beautifully designed and incredibly Instagrammable. There's even a super cute cat that made our stay feel even more homely and warm. Halal food is conveniently located just about 100 meters away, which was a huge plus for us.
We absolutely loved everything about Cloud House and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommended!

As a Malaysian traveler exploring Yunnan, I stayed at a homestay apartment near Erhai Lake—and here’s my honest take:
✅ Inside the homestay: Very clean, well-furnished, and cozy. Everything was nicely prepared and felt like a proper home. The highlight was definitely the stunning lake view right from our window—perfect for sunrise lovers.
👩💼 Host experience: The homestay staff was incredibly friendly and understanding. She even arranged a free ride from the railway station, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel.
🚧 Outside facilities: This is where it gets a bit mixed. The overall apartment complex (including the parking lot and elevator) felt poorly maintained, and the atmosphere at night was dark and slightly eerie, especially for solo travelers or couples. Many neighboring units seemed unoccupied, which added to the quiet, empty vibe.
📍 Location: Take note—this place is about 50 minutes from Dali Ancient City, so it’s not ideal if you’re planning to explore the old town daily. But if you want to relax by the lake and enjoy peace and views, it could work.
Overall: Great homestay unit and host, but the apartment surroundings and distance might not suit everyone.

SShawty Herondale秋笛 管家 is very kind and welcoming when my parents and I reached the place. They had helped us with our luggages and ensure that we are well covered. Also, we are welcomed with the afternoon tea which up till 7pm (one cake and 3 drinks)
We did not manage to get the free photography session, which is kind of wasted, but they assured that we will be given in the next visit, but I prefer that they can provide something to us in exchange.
The next day we are rushing for breakfast, so she prepared white bread and milk for us.. hmm also one thing to note, the washroom and shower room is only bounded with curtain, which is quite embarrassing if you were with your parents..

UUtente ospiteWe were really impressed. It’s our first time checked into a intelligent n voice control room. The kids had fun commanding Xiaodu n watching their shows on the projection TV. We love the modern n stylish interior. Boss n Lady boss were super friendly n welcoming. We spent time chit chatting to them and as foodies themselves, they recommended favorite restaurants n even down to the mushrooms to order when taking the mushroom hotpot. We love the location as it’s walking distance to the morning market where there’s so much to see n eat , the fruits were super fresh n sweet. In fact they also serve buffet style breakfast so the kids enjoyed their western style toast after days of eating mixing. Overall, super value for money, great location for foodies n roaming around the ancient town.
