After booking this hotel we read the reviews and became nervous. We rang the hotel and spoke with the manager Melissa about our concerns she reassured us that we would not be disappointed. We stayed in a one bedroom loft apartment which met our expectations of a four star property. The apartment was clean and furnished well. We had a late checkin and instructions on how to access were clear and concise on how to locate and enter our room. All the staff at the front desk gave wonderful customer service and always pleasant and helpful. The hotel is central and in walking distance to all restaurants and transport. The pool spa and gym was great. Thank-you to Melissa and her great team for a wonderful weekend.

Le camere erano grandi e pulite, e ben progettate. Bello personale, comodi letti. Bella zona di piscina grande che era protetta dai venti. Spazi di parcheggio coperto. Nessun internet gratuito così i bambini dovevano uscire e a circa! Resterò certamente di nuovo e consigliere agli amici e alla famiglia.

La persona più carina, Ashley, era la ricevente, molto utile, sorridente e benvenuta. Le strutture erano pulite, confortevoli e confortevoli per l'Esplanade, la cena all'aperto e la spiaggia. Il vestito re era buono, ma mancava una cucina, ma avevano un BBQ per cucinare la carne. Il letto era grande e confortevole. Il personale era estremamente utile e con la notte di sconosciuto, la gioiellina e la crema o le mini muffin per i ritardati erano tutti buoni. Il hotel dispone di appartamenti per i gemelli e i tripli che rendeno più facile la cucina in camera.

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.

Il personale è utile e amichevole. La posizione è perfetta e il bar/club è sempre occupato. Puoi mangiare, bere e festeggiare tutti nello stesso posto. L'aria condizionata nelle stanze era un po' troppo forte, e non c'è un controllore per modificare la stanza. Il letto deve essere fatto da te stesso quando arrivi.Sarebbe bello trovarlo.Un cappello e una luce individuale nel letto sarebbe davvero utile. L'edificio è molto grande e dispone di spazio sufficiente nelle aree comuni e cucina (che è occupato in qualsiasi momento). I servizi sono complessivamente buoni.

This holiday was well worth the wait!!! We stayed here on advise from friends who have stayed before and we weren't disappointed. This place is great if you have young children to mid teenagers (under 14). There is so much to do, from the 2 pools (one with 2 waterslides that both the kids and adults tried out!), peddle karts, mini golf, splash pad zone and movie nights. I guess the best thing was all the extra activites that this holiday park put on as we were there during school holidays. There was a movie every night, a farm animal day and even laser tag. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, as we wanted a little more space, which was great. The bathroom was very clean but one thing to note it is a jack and jill style, attached to both rooms. Each cabin had a deck which was great to hang out on in the arvo until the evening. If you need anything from the shops there is a great one on site or it is a short driving up the road to Woolworths, Coles and even Kmart :) I can't recommend this holiday park more highly.

UUtente ospiteWe arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

Tuttavia, ho ricevuto un avviso da Goki che ”no prenotazione” dopo aver chiuso il mio numero di conferma. Ho avuto un shock e ho continuato a chiedere aiuto da stranieri all'interno dell'albero. Quando l'ho risolto, era come le 8:30 e mi sono sentito famevole. 2) Anche se Goki è un sistema facile ma devi portare il tuo cellulare ovunque tu vai anche al bagno, ad esempio (che succede se dimentica di portare fuori il telefono); c'era un tempo il mio telefono era quasi fuori dalla batteria (l'1% a sinistra) e devo pagarlo rapidamente prendendo in prestito un corrispettivo da altri. 3) Non c'è finestra nella mia stanza (singola) e la temperatura dell'aria condizionata è fuori dal mio controllo 4) La zona di accoglienza si apre solo fino alle 2:00 al giorno, dopo la quale è necessario chiamare per qualsiasi servizio di custodia. È davvero svantaggiante per il primo che vuole sapere di Cairns in termini di direzioni, luoghi di interesse, ecc. 5) La posizione è eccellente, ma non credo che io consiglierei questo ostello ai miei amici in futuro.

UUtente ospiteMy partner and I stayed at sunshine tower for 5 nights and it was an enjoyable stay. I want to start by saying the girls on reception were all very friendly and welcoming, they were happy to have a chat anytime and also recommended places to visit and see. Shout out to Phoebe she was lovely! The property is a little be further out of the main ***** but only a 10-15 minute walk or you can jump on one of the Beam scooters that are outside. The outside of the property is tired looking and could do with an update but the rooms are renovated and lovely. Tiled floors, updated furniture and great sizes. The kitchenette was lovely to have even though we didn’t really use it. There is no oven or stove up so keep this in mind when booking. The bathroom was a tad small but worked and the shower was great! We were in room 702 which had a lovely view towards the beach but note that this level also houses the electrical stuff so it is a little loud when you are trying to sleep. The tv was a smart tv but could never connect to the wifi so I would recommend them to update to have modems on each level. The outdoor pool and sauna were okay, only used it once and unfortunately the texture of the spa and pool was very rough on the skin so couldn’t stay in there long. BBQs are available for use but we didn’t use these. No housekeeping (I knew about this before booking) however the girls at reception were more than happy to provide more toilet paper/towels/tea/coffee etc with no extra cost. Overall it’s a great property and worth the visit for stays under a week!

Il check-in era un processo noioso....Ho dovuto diventare membro del club di viaggio per avere wifi, che credo sia un po'. E 'gratuito, ma annoiante dover compilare più moduli e dare informazioni per un servizio che è piuttosto standard nella maggior parte degli hotel.. Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti.Nessuna custodia. Voglio essere ecologica...ma davvero, almeno 3 notti dopo, sarebbe apprezzato un viaggio nella stanza per riempire i tovaglioli. Quando sono andato al divano per prendere i tovaglioli, mi sono detto di tornare quando il servizio di lavanderia è arrivato più tardi il giorno. Così strano. L'odore della stanza era anche un po' indossabile. Musto e dolce. Non so se fosse solo questa stanza o l'intero hotel, ma potrebbe servire un po' di aggiornamento. Il divano da sedere era molto inconfortabile.... troppe persone hanno indossato quel sedile e sembra che tu stia in un piatto. Tuttavia, il letto era buono. Ho dormito abbastanza bene se ho lasciato la finestra aperta per diffondere l'odore mollido.

The shower tiles were painted at some stage, and it is now peeling off both the floor and the walls. The “updated” vanity basin and tap are poorly sizes and you are unable to fully wash your face due to the shape and size of the basin with a shorter necked faucet . There is no complete enclosure for water in the shower resulting in you flooding the bathroom each time you shower- we ended up using the common showers in the passageway to attempt keep our room dry. The toilet paper is only single ply so bring your own if you decide to stay here !! Our towels and sheets had stains on them and the pillows are flat and lumpy. I wouldn’t swim in the pool unless you’ve had your latest tetanus shots. We were followed back to the accommodation by a slightly hostile homeless person one night which was slightly unnerving for our teenage daughters. The nicest part of this accommodation is the outdoor BBQ area. The breakfast provided smelt ok, but we decided to eat at the cafe at the marina each day as we were heading out to the reef and islands anyways. We decided to stay here and save money as generally we are out during the day and only need a comfortable bed and a clean shower- next time we will be going back to our regular accommodation closer to the Esplanade. LLinda E Address: 331-337 Lake St, Cairns City QLD 4870 Phone: (07) 4041 6605 If you are unfortunate enough to be allocated this unit there are things you should be advised The Edge Apartments Cairns is situated in Cairns only 220 yards from the Northen end of the Esplanade and the Coral Sea. It has 2 outdoor pools and spacious air-conditioned apartments. COMMENT In June 2023 We found our apartment 205 for 10 days to NOTt to be of 4star standard at all. PRO: The bedlinen and bathroom towels were very clean and of good quality. The air conditioning worked. The ceiling fans worked. The apartment was spacious. The fridge worked but bottom of door shelving missing. Inconvenient if you wanted to store water bottles etc. CONS: ” Each unit at the Edge has a flat-screen TV”., which was NOT working and had to be re-connected by guest. “Free Wi-Fi” NOT available in unit 205 – we were informed by office unless you wanted to stand outside of office area to connect. Apartment was dark, - lighting in all rooms inadequate and woefully dim and outdated. Lighting in laundry area was badly positioned – and here there were no instructions on how machine worked. *Vertical Blinds in poor state and need maintenance or replacement. *All doors (screen and glass sliding) need maintenance to run smoothly. *The furniture was inappropriate (apart from 2 leather sofas) and badly arranged. *The ambience was noisy. The decor throughout the apartment – wasn’t.!! Except 2 pictures hung almost at ceiling. – 1 small mirror in dark hallway., and a wall clock. (All 15 years or more in age) *No rugs or furnishings to soften the décor or the echo sounding throughout the apartment. *Coffee table in bad state. *Dining table satisfactory but serviced by 2 different types of chairs. *The bathroom needed maintenance/upgrade (and pictures I have taken show much damage to outer base of shower, mould along the wall.) *The kitchens come equipped with very basic essentials. A microwave and dishwasher., utensils for cooking on very old worn stove. “Some units have balconies with sea or mountain views”, others, like ours, at 205 had overgrown foliage with NO views. The Edge Apartments Cairns has an outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities and free on-site private parking. *The Rain forestation Nature Park is 11 miles from The Edge Apartments. Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway are only a 10-minute drive away.

Il motel era molto, molto pulito, i letti erano molto confortevoli e c’era abbastanza spazio per i miei due bambini. Il personale della reception è stato così amichevole e utile per me a organizzare un'unità di pavimento. Ho notato che molti hotel a Cairns non sono stati dotati da Covid e è stato così bello avere personale amichevole a disposizione alla reception e per rispondere ai telefoni. UUtente ospiteThis Motel was disgusting.It just smelt of cigarette smoke and a bottle of bleach.But the room was still dirty.The door did not lock properly.The shower had dirty shoe marks in it the fridge did not work and my food was spoiled.The bed was like a brick so uncomfortable and I only sat on it.I rang to get help with the fridge and they were not helpful at all.I had to move and spend more money on a motel.And still 2 wks later the manager won’t return my phone calls or emails will not refund my money.Highly recommend you never stay at this motel is absolutely disgusting.The fridge had mould in it.
