Hotel con colazione a Porto

The location is very centralised, making it extremely convenient to walk to the nearby attractions. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony which was lovely, and everything else about the room was just about perfect too. Super well upkept, maybe cos it’s relatively new too but the bathroom was very clean with zero mold spots. Water pressure was strong while the wifi and aircon / heater worked well. The only con was that the basin seemed a little choked with the water going down pretty slowly, but it wasn’t a major issue for us.

From the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else. Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me. Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left! The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay. The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level: Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional. What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after. I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find. If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book. 100% recommended. I will absolutely be back. ✨👏

Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was hands down the best decision of my entire trip to Porto. If any of my friends or family visit Porto, I would literally force them to book this place. If you are debating between this and a slightly cheaper, mediocre hotel, do yourself a favor and choose this residence. It offers absolute value for money. 1. Unbeatable Location The location is incredible—literally right next to São Bento Station. If you walk down the slope right across the street, you end up right under the Dom Luís I Bridge. If you walk up the slope to the left, you can reach Jardim do Morro in just about 8 minutes. Having the metro station right outside means you can easily get anywhere, whether it’s Rua de Santa Catarina or the Gaia district. It was so convenient that I could visit a tourist spot, come back to the room for a quick nap, and head out again for evening sightseeing. 2. Excellent Room Condition & Value The condition of the residence is top-notch. Instead of spending money on an awkwardly priced, lower-quality hotel, staying here gives you premium comfort for an amazing price. It is truly the perfect budget-friendly luxury. 3. Fantastic Amenities (Washing Machine & Cooktop) Whether Porto is your first stop or you are coming from Lisbon, you’ll eventually need to do laundry or crave some comfort food. The room comes equipped with a washing machine and an induction cooktop. It was amazing to be able to do my piled-up laundry and cook some ramen after buying groceries at the supermarket. This feature alone makes it a must-stay destination during your journey. [Conclusion] This place is flawless in terms of location, price, and convenience. Don't hesitate—just book it. You won't regret it!

Ho trascorso due notti in un dormitorio misto da 10 letti. La posizione è ottima, così come la colazione a buffet, con ampia scelta di cibo e bevande. Il posto è complessivamente pulito e confortevole. C'era un solo bagno (doccia e WC) disponibile in camera perché l'altro era rotto. Non è stato un problema, ma penso che non sia sufficiente per una stanza così grande (soprattutto considerando che doccia e WC sono nella stessa stanza e possono essere utilizzati da una persona alla volta). Bellissima vista dalla finestra. Manca l'asciugacapelli. Armadietti a pagamento per lasciare i bagagli prima del check-in o dopo il check-out (tariffa oraria).

Heel fijn hotel! Top locatie. Dicht bij veel leuke ontbijt tentjes en restaurantjes. Ook heel dichtbij bij veel bezienswaardigheden. Top!

Our experience at Marquês Garden was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. This beautiful hotel, housed in a charming 124-year-old building, is full of character, history and elegance. Every detail makes it a special place to stay. Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and impeccably maintained, with lovely views overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall quality of the facilities and service exceeded our expectations. However, what truly makes this hotel exceptional is its staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly welcoming, kind, attentive and professional. Their genuine hospitality made us feel at home throughout our stay. We would particularly like to highlight an extraordinary gesture from one of the gentlemen working at reception. Yesterday, we accidentally left a bag containing personal belongings and gifts for our family back home in Mallorca at a restaurant called San Valentim, in Matosinhos. When we explained what had happened, the gentleman at reception immediately took charge of the situation. He personally contacted the restaurant, arranged an Uber to collect our forgotten bag and organised its safe return to the hotel. He went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect, showing remarkable kindness, professionalism and a genuine willingness to help. This is what true hospitality looks like. It is relatively easy to find a beautiful hotel, but finding a beautiful hotel with people who genuinely care about their guests is something truly special. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful experience and, above all, for the exceptional treatment we received. We wholeheartedly recommend Marquês Garden to anyone visiting Porto. Molto bello hotel moderno. Bello bar /restaurant area. Buona selezione a colazione e prezzo ragionevole. La posizione è molto buona. Molto centrale. La stanza fa il miglior uso di ciò che è in realtà uno spazio molto stretto. Purtroppo, il magazzinaggio di vestiti o bagagli è molto limitato, e solo un piccolo ferro è destinato a pendere i vestiti. Siate consapevoli, se la privacy è una questione per voi, che il bagno e la doccia sono separati dalla camera da letto con porte di vetro fumate. Se sei una coppia, non è probabile che ciò significhi ... ma se condividi con un amico, potrebbe essere che l'acqua possa uscire sotto la porta del doccia a volte, quindi metti giu' degli asciugamani. La camera dispone di strutture per la preparazione di tè e caffè. Ci sono una macchina nespresso con pochi pod. TV con alcuni canali inglesi, se questo è importante per voi, ma ci sono cose molto meglio da fare a Porto che guardare la TV ! Puoi immagazzinare il bagaglio, se dovessi aspettare il volo. In generale, consiglierei questo hotel.Abbiamo avuto un piacevole soggiorno e il personale è stato amichevole e utile.

The least you expect from a five star hotel was a good service and cleanlinless. We stayed here for 5 nights and they did not change our bedsheet even though it was written that they will change it every 3 days, no refill of water, no refill of tissues and coffee and tea we had to request it. There’s a small cockroach in the bathtub. At the front desk they don’t even greet you whenever you passby I am not being entitled that I should be greeted I just compare it to other hotel where they always smile. It’s hard to call the front desk sometimes it will take 5 minutes.  On the positive side the food in the restaurant was really good and the drinks at the bar those who are working there was really nice and attentive too. I’d like to commend also Fabrizio who always smile and who helps us with our luggage when we check in and check out.
