EExploreWithMoFrom the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else.
Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me.
Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left!
The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay.
The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level:
Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after.
I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find.
If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è in una posizione fantastica, a pochi passi da molte aree di interesse a Porto. L'hotel stesso è ben decorato. Le camere sono compatte, ma la decorazione aggiunge al sentimento di un hotel boutique. Una delle migliori docce che abbia mai avuto in un hotel, potente e facile a controllare la temperatura. Le toilette usate erano belle. I letti sono comodi e le foglie sono fresche e senza spot. La maggior parte del personale di ricezione sono efficienti e amichevoli. Le camere sono ben attrezzate con buoni vestiti/umbrello/buono asciugacapelli/caffè macchina e capsule ecc
Ci sono alcune cose che l'hotel potrebbe facilmente migliorare :
La colazione non è certamente una cosa che consiglio. Le scelte erano povere, non fresche o locali, e il costo è alto. Ci sono molte scelte molto migliori in prossimità.
Le piastrelle erano una padella di schiuma di memoria dura o una piastrella molto lucida, sorprendente per il costo dell'alloggio.
Quando arrivava, era molto difficile ottenere latte fresco per il tè e il caffè, chiesemo la ricezione e al bar non potevano farne uno, anche se scopriamo al colazione che avevano una macchina e latte fresco e portavano le tazze facilmente disponibili.
Il bar ha bisogno di ripensare....è l'opposto di accogliere e il personale non ti fa desiderare di rimanere. Poiché non c'è un ”sala” all'hotel, forse questo sarebbe meglio utilizzato come un luogo di riunione all'interno dell'hotel.

UUtente ospiteOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

UUtente ospiteLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

Un tubo nella mia stanza è scoppiato verso le 22:00 e alcuni dei miei vestiti e la mia borsa da viaggio nuova di zecca si sono sporcati. Sono andato alla reception per spiegare immediatamente la situazione. Il personale non poteva spostarmi in una nuova stanza perché era al completo. Mi è stato detto che avrei dovuto aspettare fino al giorno successivo, quando il direttore si sarebbe presentato al lavoro, per parlare della questione. Mi hanno offerto una colazione gratuita, che ho rifiutato perché non ero interessato. Non hanno offerto alcun servizio di lavanderia per i miei vestiti e la mia borsa interessati e avrei dovuto lavarli da solo?
Il giorno dopo verso le 16:30, sono andato al bancone della reception per parlare con il direttore e mi è stato detto di aspettare un po' (non so cosa?). Ho aspettato circa 10 minuti e ho chiesto cosa stessi aspettando, e mi è stato detto di aspettare ancora e che lei avrebbe parlato con noi. Poco dopo, mi ha spiegato la situazione e mi ha offerto di nuovo una colazione gratuita, che ho rifiutato.
L'ho informata che le macchie sulla mia borsa nuova di zecca e inutilizzata erano ancora visibili. Poi ha detto che potevo portare la mia borsa in lavanderia a secco e che mi avrebbero risarcito se avessi mostrato loro la ricevuta. Ha pensato che avrebbero dovuto essere loro a portare la mia borsa in lavanderia a secco e a riportarmela invece di farmi andare da sola, dato che dovrei essere un ospite che esplora la città mentre sono qui per le vacanze? Ed era dovuto ai problemi con le tubature di cui avrebbero dovuto essere responsabili? Comunque, ho spiegato che avrei lasciato la città la sera successiva e ho chiesto se la lavanderia a secco sarebbe stata completata entro quella data, cosa che, a quanto ho capito, nessuno di noi può garantire. Quindi questa opzione non era così fattibile. Con ciò, si è offerta di rimborsarmi per una notte di soggiorno, cosa che ho accettato.
Dopodiché le ho chiesto di trovare la lavanderia a secco più vicina per me e mi ha fornito l'indirizzo di una lavanderia self-service vicino all'hotel. Sono andato a lavare e asciugare la borsa e sono tornato con le ricevute per chiedere il risarcimento, ma mi è stato detto che era un'opzione ”o l'una o l'altra”. Ha detto che, poiché avevo già accettato il rimborso di una notte, avrei dovuto pagare io stesso i servizi di pulizia. Ero troppo stanco per discutere e il mio umore era già rovinato dall'intero incidente.
Mi sono sentito così insoddisfatto dell'intero processo di recupero del servizio.

ZZaherWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay.
One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel.
The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal.
Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!

La posizione non è la migliore per la vista, è circa un 10-minute passeggiata al metro più vicino, poi poche fermate alle principali attrazioni, che possono essere scomode soprattutto in tempo piovoso. On the plus side, it’s right next to a lively market/food court with lots of local bites, and there’s even a supermarket inside.
Il personale era molto gentile, parlava bene l’inglese, e forniva anche una piastra di benvenuto con frutta e torte d’uovo, che era un bel toccamento. La camera stessa era più bella delle foto: spazioso, molto pulito, con una scatola, un giacca, una camera da bagno e un bagno separato.
Pochi passi: il personale di pulizia entrava nella mia stanza due volte mentre ero dentro (una volta al mattino mentre dormivo, un'altra volta mentre ero in bagno), forse hanno colpito, ma si sentiva ancora intruso. La finestra era anche terribile, la mia stanza era di fronte al lobby, quindi dovevo tenere la tenda chiusa per tutta la permanenza, per la privacy, che faceva buio la stanza.
In generale, è un hotel confortevole con un grande personale, ma la posizione non è ideale se si desidera essere vicini alle principali attrazioni. If the price is good compared to the ones in the center, then it could be a good choice as taxis to the center cost about €5 one way. Otherwise, I'd probably choose somewhere in the more central area next time.

JJames in ShanghaiWe checked in, there was no wait, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great touch that the staff member offered to show us a map of Porto and the key things he would recommend doing in the city.
I can’t stress enough just what an excellent location this hotel is in, no public transport is required. All the key sights are within a short walking distance. It is also very walkable from the train station.
The room was great, with adequate lighting, a huge TV and some excellent shower products. The bed was relatively firm and comfortable.
We enjoyed breakfast for the 3 nights. There had been a miscommunication about the price of this, however, the hotel manager was very helpful in rectifying this via email communication after the stay.
The young female staff member we engaged with for breakfast each morning was also very friendly, warm yet professional.
As IHG Platinum members we decided to try this Hilton property and were not disappointed. It was excellent from start to finish and the prompt reply and rectification from the hotel manager is testament to the care, detail and excellent management of this property. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Porto.

죤죤죵상벤투역과도 trinidade역과도 모두 도보 5분 거리라 비행기로 이동하여 공항철도 타기에도 좋고, 기차로 이동하는 분들께도 모두 좋은 위치입니다. 호텔이 아니라 아파트먼트 형식의 숙소예요. 거실에 큰 더블 침대가 하나 있고 소파가 있고 주방과 욕실이 나누어져있는 형태입니다. 식탁도 있고 조리도구도 웬만한 건 있어서(토스터기, 식기, 냄비, 커피머신 등) 요리해서 먹기도 좋아요! 보통 이렇게 도심 오래된 건물에 있는 숙소는 엘리베이터 없는 경우도 많던데 이 숙소는 엘리베이터 있어요! 온수도 콸콸 잘나옵니다 ㅎㅎ 체크인과 체크아웃 모두 온라인으로 하는 거라서 리셉션은 따로 없어요! 로비에 짐 맡기는 라커도 있어서 체크아웃 이후에도 캐리어 맡기고 잠시 도시 구경 다녀올 수 있어서 좋았습니다.
