Hotel con colazione a Taichung

I wrote in my initial booking that this was an Anniversary trip, I was quite surprised that the hotel did not do nor acknowledge such things and that quite bothered me. First impressions do lasts and I also had an incident in their restaurant that serves buffet, where there was a insect (almost cockroach like) in the soup which was honestly very shocking for a 5 star restaurant but the recovery of how they handled was not great and no follow up was done. Overall, I wasn’t as happy staying here as I thought I would. But I won’t definitely be coming back.

I write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all. The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing? The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room. On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before. It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well? Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me. It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again I hope to hear from you on the above mentioned. Thank you.

Best resort in Taiwan and worth every penny. Highest level of service - it’s like being at a modern luxury ryokan in Japan except everyone speaks Chinese. Room design is brilliant, and one king room fit my family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers with a California king and a separate tatami area. The room has an epic view from every angle the moment you walk in the door and includes a private outdoor onsen connected to your bathroom. I noticed many private in-room onsens in Japan are diluted down, but this was spring fed. The public onsen was huge, extremely well maintained, and included a large walled zen garden with an adjacent sauna and cold plunge. I was lucky enough to experience this area all to myself with one other guest leaving as I arrived and another guest arriving as I was leaving. In China, this onsen would have comfortably accommodated 100 bathers. The spring water is not high in sulfuric content (doesn’t smell like rotten eggs), and the temperature is relatively mild - ideal for my family. Given the limited availability of the hotel online, I was expecting it to be more crowded. I got the sense that room rates are controlled to optimize guest experience, not profit, while staff are trained to ensure that customers never feel like they are being ripped off or “sold”. It seemed there were more staff than guests on site. I originally booked 2 rooms, and some of my family members couldn’t make the trip. We didn’t need the second room, and the staff were very gracious to refund and cancel the second room on the spot. When I’m back in Taiwan or traveling to a place where Hoshinoya does business, I would not hesitate to book again and make a special journey to stay at one of their destination resorts.

Hotel is 3 mins walk to 逢甲market. Very convenient, room is spacious as well. However, the hotel doesn’t provide toiletries. Toiletries can be bought at the Watson located down the road or simply bringing your own. Overall good hotel 👍🏼

I camerieri erano attenti ed educati! Anche se la stanza non è grande, è completamente attrezzata! Il letto era fantastico e ho dormito bene ogni giorno! La toilette è separata dal bagno ed è dotata di sedile elettrico! Il latte doccia può essere utilizzato per il bagno, per il viso e per i capelli. È molto idratante. A me e alla mamma piace moltissimo, Inoltre, l'asciugacapelli è di marca giapponese e ha ioni negativi. Il piccolo vento è abbastanza forte! Che sorpresa!

I liked this hotel. The room was quite spacious and nicely decorated with a city view. Breakfast had a good variety of options. There is also a public area with table tennis, which was a nice bonus.

Il servizio è eccellente per tutti i dipendenti; tutti sorridenti e pronti ad aiutare. I pasti gratuiti erano come un bonus e Dio inviato come alcuni giorni abbiamo avuto troppo occupato con il nostro itinerario e non avevamo tempo per mangiare, quindi andiamo a cena all'hotel. anche se il menu era lo stesso Ogni giorno, non ci importava perché la qualità era abbastanza decente e ci erano varietà. La pressione dell'acqua era la migliore! Il letto era comodo, l'aria condizionata era fredda, la TV intelligente, il servizio di risoluzione rapida da parte dei tecnici quando non potevamo collegare alla camera wifi. There's also a massage service with discount for room guests; quite medium but for the price ok la.

Booked last minute, with the price I paid, this experience was phenomenal. We stayed in a Friday night, the room was spacious and our dogs really enjoyed. One thing that may require improvement is the pillow is too low other than that, we have nothing else to complain. We also enjoyed the free breakfast that came with the room we booked, I loved the fresh squeeze juice.

Il bagno non era così pulito ma la cucina era davvero disgustosa con bug nel caffè al mattino, si deve pagare per lasciare il bagaglio In un serbatoio prima del check-in, nessun USB/ USB-c per caricare il telefono si ha bisogno dell'adattatore *********, Ho dovuto comprarlo per una notte, perché durante il mio viaggio di due settimane tutti gli altri ostelli che ho soggiornato hanno avuto un USB-C. Il controllo di auto non ha funzionato con il mio nome, ma il personale mi ha aiutato cambiando qualcosa nel sistema.
