RRojaeWe stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025).
While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families.
The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming.
One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable!
Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new.

UUtente ospiteI will start with the positive and say that the resort is located on a hill facing the sea and some mountains so I was happy that I had a good view from my room window. The balcony was an added bonus, but although I went for a deluxe double room, there was nothing deluxe about it! I stayed in 3 & 4 star hotels in China that they were not much different than this room I was given. The staff were very polite and accommodating, but most of them had very little English or no English at all - had to use a translation app or repeat/rephrase a few times (Chinese & English are the spoken languages according to the website). The wifi is very weak so I kept using my own mobile data. The rooms are not sound insulated so I kept hearing the banging of nearby doors and people passing or stalling/talking along the corridor. In a nutshell, the amenities and service offered do not compare to the experience I had at Hilton hotels elsewhere. It is definitely not good value for money. Disappointing.

SSeanchorSi tratta di un raro hotel-castello in puro stile europeo, con un'ottima posizione, a due passi da Piazza Xinghai. È molto comodo per mangiare e viaggiare e ci sono auto speciali che vengono a prendervi su e giù per la montagna. La stanza è molto grande. La camera con vista mare si affaccia sul ponte che attraversa il mare e la vista è davvero impressionante. Le strutture interne sono un po' vecchie, ma nel complesso accettabili. Il servizio è caloroso e premuroso. La hall è magnifica e suggestiva. Nel pomeriggio sono previsti anche spettacoli interattivi per bambini. Ci sono diversi ascensori nella hall ed è facile perdersi. La qualità della colazione è nella media, a parte il prezzo elevato, tutto il resto è soddisfacente.

We were deeply touched by the personal welcome from the General Manager, Mr. Wayne Tan, whose gracious presence and attentiveness set a wonderful tone for our stay. It is rare to encounter such hands-on leadership, and his warmth truly made us feel valued as guests.
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Guest Relations team—Adale, Samantha, and Kakakoo—who consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their friendliness, professionalism, and sincere care created a welcoming and heartwarming atmosphere throughout our stay.
In addition, we would like to commend the room cleaning lady for her meticulous attention to detail. She consistently ensured that our room was immaculate and thoughtfully replenished our drinking water daily, which we greatly appreciated.
Overall, this stay perfectly reflected the hallmark of the Four Seasons brand: exceptional service delivered with genuine care. We are truly grateful to the entire team and look forward to returning in the future.

SSutaiIt was very western designed. The interior and services were good but somethings were very expensive. like twice the amount it should be.
Also the room's hair dryer was broken. We had to use hair band to make it work again.
Other than that everything was smooth and jazz. The room was really good. There was a pillow menu! My mom only uses latex due to medical reasons, so the pillow menu was really helpful.
The band at the live music section was really friendly. They even sang a birthday song for my mom!
Overall great experience.

UUtente ospiteQuesto Shangri-La non ha l'iconico odore di aroma nella hall. E durante il nostro soggiorno di 2N, abbiamo notato che non hanno l'iconico odore! Che delusione.
La ragazza della reception è professionale ma il servizio è senza sorriso. Molto robotico. Abbiamo visitato la lounge della hall e siamo stati serviti da questa cameriera che sta solo facendo il suo lavoro, non è amichevole.
La colazione è fantastica, lo standard di Shang. La camera è vecchia e ha un disperato bisogno di un lifting.
Ben lontano dagli altri Shang che ho visitato.

AArtMWe were travelling as a famliy of four with two boys. We chose the hotel because of reviews and great location.
Locations is outstanding, a lot of places to eat nearby, german restaurant on B1 floor, several big shopping malls in walking distance (don't make our mistake, there are TWO big supermarkets in those buildings, one in Mykal, the better and bigger one in the building in front of it). In shopping malls there are restaurants and food courts which is convenient. For us it's been useful because my younger boy is quite selective in food preferences. Hotel personnel had been nice and helpful, not a single issue with them. In the hotel there is swimming pool and some bathing area with smaller pools at different temperature. A great place to attend after long-long day in Dalian. Food selection for breakfast is also quite nice.
What issues we had during our stay:
Aircon had been barely working. Definitely insufficient for four people in one room, it was too warm to sleep, we had to keep window open at night to try to make it to comfortable temperature. Mosqiutos were terrible, it was suprise that insects made it to 18th floor, but I believe they got in through aircon system. In-room refrigerator had been terrible and not cooling anything. It would probably be similar if there was no refrigerator at all.
Overall great place to stay.

NNabrudisPer gli amanti della spiaggia, questo è un hotel eccellente con molti scorci perfetti per Instagram. Le camere sono ben arredate e la maggior parte dispone di una terrazza privata con vista sul mare. Abbiamo adorato la piccola escursione in barca verso una spiaggia privata che organizzavano nel pomeriggio. Un ringraziamento speciale a Cuicui, Nana e Nick per il loro aiuto durante il nostro soggiorno. So che è un compito arduo, ma la plastica che galleggia in mare e viene lasciata sulla spiaggia dovrebbe essere rimossa ogni giorno.

JJoeInChinaQuesto hotel mi è piaciuto molto. Era pulito, carino e in un certo senso ”moderno e alla moda”. La camera era bella, con una splendida vista sulla città e un letto comodo, separato dalla zona del bagno da un muro. Ottima posizione, a circa 3 minuti a piedi da Piazza ZhongShan, il centro della città. Vicinissimo alle stazioni della metropolitana, a molti posti dove mangiare, ad alcuni minimarket e ad alcune zone commerciali. Si possono raggiungere a piedi molti luoghi, anche NanShan Road e NanShan Street in breve tempo. La palestra e l'area fitness/allenamento erano ottime, grandi e dotate di molte attrezzature, tra cui diverse macchine per aerobica e pesi liberi. Era anche molto facile trovare un Didi proprio davanti. Nota: la hall si trova al 6° piano e l'hotel si estende dal 5° al 30° piano. Se dovessi tornare a DaLian, soggiornerò sicuramente qui.

UUtente ospiteThis is a warm and cozy hostel with a bar and pool table. Along the staircase there are pieces of artwork for you to pause and appreciate. There are also two cuddly cats to keep you company late an night if you prefer to spend time in the common area. The microwave is a life saver on those mornings during which you have to head out super early. Apart from the subway station which is a five minute walk from the hostel, there is actually a bus stop right in front with public buses taking you directly (no luggage scans! No line transfers!) to the People’s Square, Zhongshan Square, Russian Village and even the airport.
