TTokkiiiWe stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit. Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes. Where do I even start? The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference. Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures. One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy. We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care. To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here. This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere. If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

CChai Voon ChoyThere are many other hotels located in the same building which may confuse the guests and makes the elevator service a bit slow and no proper cleaning of the elevators. Foods smells sometimes fill the elevator. The location is great which is very near to Zhongshan square where the old and historical buildings are surrounded. Sea view is not good as there is a big shipyard eyesore right in front of the window. The shipyard has ruined the view.

MMeyjiI stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and felt like home, the view of the sea is really beautiful. The location of the hotel is very good, close to Venice and the beach with beautiful seagulls. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have a safe deposit box. There is no problem with hot water in the bathroom for 4 people as long as you know how to use it. I am very grateful for the service of the room staff, Miss Li Feng Jun, who was very helpful and felt like family, and also the staff at the reception who were very helpful.

UUtente ospiteIl Castle è davvero un hotel eccezionale! Dal momento in cui sono entrata nella hall, sono stata accolta da una fragranza meravigliosa, che in seguito ho scoperto essere quella dei prodotti da bagno dell'hotel. Mi è piaciuta così tanto che ho persino acquistato la crema corpo con la stessa fragranza. 😍 Situato su una collina, l'hotel offre una vista mozzafiato sul ponte Xinghai, così bello che non volevo nemmeno andarmene. A dire il vero, ho finito per annullare il mio programma solo per trascorrere più tempo in hotel! Anche se è leggermente distante dal centro città, non c'è motivo di preoccuparsi: i taxi sono sempre facili da trovare e non abbiamo mai avuto alcun inconveniente. La camera era assolutamente bellissima e immacolata. Non solo le condizioni della camera erano perfette, ma ogni membro del personale che abbiamo incontrato è stato incredibilmente gentile e attento. Vorrei esprimere in particolare la mia gratitudine a un membro del personale di nome Zora. 💘 Dopo il check-out, mi sono accorta di aver lasciato dei vestiti in camera. Anche se ho contattato l'hotel una settimana dopo, lei è stata molto gentile a controllare, mi ha inviato foto tramite WeChat e mi ha aiutato a recuperare i miei effetti personali. Le sono davvero grata per il suo aiuto. Se dovessi tornare a Dalian, tornerò sicuramente al The Castle. Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here. I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment. The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone. The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese. There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt. The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space. The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel. There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee. The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality. There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

UUtente ospiteQuesto Shangri-La non ha l'iconico odore di aroma nella hall. E durante il nostro soggiorno di 2N, abbiamo notato che non hanno l'iconico odore! Che delusione. La ragazza della reception è professionale ma il servizio è senza sorriso. Molto robotico. Abbiamo visitato la lounge della hall e siamo stati serviti da questa cameriera che sta solo facendo il suo lavoro, non è amichevole. La colazione è fantastica, lo standard di Shang. La camera è vecchia e ha un disperato bisogno di un lifting. Ben lontano dagli altri Shang che ho visitato.

UUtente ospitePullman Dalian è un ottimo hotel, soprattutto per la sua posizione.Molti grandi ristoranti, un mercato notturno e il centro commerciale Pavilion sono tutti a pochi passi. C'è anche un negozio di convenienza Lawson vicino che opera 24 ore, che rende molto conveniente acquistare qualsiasi cosa si possa avere bisogno. Il personale è stato anche estremamente carino e utile, e in particolare un membro del personale di nome Cathy, che ci ha aiutato con l'ingresso e l'uscita, ha lasciato una forte impressione. Durante il viaggio, è stato il nostro compleanno, e Cathy ci ha congratulato per la sua buona ricetta preparando una torta e persino per aiutarci a fare un check-out tardivo. Da quando abbiamo visitato Dalian per la prima volta, la sua gentilezza ci ha aiutato a goderci il viaggio con la pace. La notte prima di avere qualche birra e lasciare un po' di merda la sala, ma la stanza era pulita e organizzata perfettamente il giorno dopo. Inoltre, il bar della birra situato sul piano B1 era anche eccellente. Hanno svolto performance musicali in diretta, e uno dei cantanti ha anche cantato una canzone coreana per noi. Eravamo molto toccati e molto grati per l'esperienza. Dalian sembra una bella destinazione di viaggio, con un grande cibo, un sacco di vederti e persone molto amichevole. Se uno dei miei amici intende visitare Dalian, mi consiglierei di rimanere a Pullman. E se ritorno a Dalian, certamente ripresero' anche Pullman.

UUtente anonimoAbbiamo ripetutamente richiesto una camera per non fumatori, ma la prima camera che ci è stata assegnata puzzava ancora di fumo e il cambio di stanza ci ha fatto perdere mezz'ora. Sebbene la nuova camera fosse per non fumatori, l'intero piano executive (un piano per non fumatori) era ancora impregnato di un forte odore di fumo e vernice. Un ambiente del genere non dovrebbe esistere nemmeno in un hotel non a cinque stelle, figuriamoci in uno a cinque stelle; è incredibile. Per motivi di salute, abbiamo richiesto un purificatore d'aria all'hotel. Sebbene alla fine ce ne abbiano fornito uno, inizialmente hanno affermato che l'hotel era troppo pieno e che le scorte erano terminate. Dopo il check-out, quando abbiamo chiesto in prestito un ombrello, hanno accampato varie scuse e si sono rifiutati di aiutarci. Questo tipo di atteggiamento non è quello che ci si aspetterebbe da un hotel a cinque stelle. Sebbene il giovane personale alla reception fosse molto entusiasta e ci abbia offerto un valido aiuto con i bagagli, l'atteggiamento degli altri membri dello staff ha reso il soggiorno complessivamente molto spiacevole. Anche l'InterContinental Club Lounge di questo hotel è piuttosto piccola e offre opzioni limitate per la cena. Nel complesso, questa è stata la peggiore esperienza alberghiera che abbia mai avuto in Cina. Spero che l'hotel riesca a gestire meglio le proprie attività e a separare effettivamente i piani per fumatori da quelli per non fumatori, in modo da garantire agli ospiti un soggiorno confortevole e sicuro. UUtente anonimoOverall the hotel is nice and clean. however If you looking for a privacy friendly please avoid this hotel. The house keeping team had entered my room 2 times within the 4 days during my stay. A not-disturb card was hang as well as the not-disturb light was also turned on. Upon the first enter, I had went to raise the issue with the hotel. The initial reply was the not-disturb card might be ‘moved’ when I opened the door for exiting. Little that they know I had took photo when I make myself leaving the room. On top of that, the no-disturb light was also on too even they falsely claimed card was moved. Then the hotel replied that ‘oh no, they must of entered the room to tidy up the room’. Yet, the room was NOT tidying up at all. Again, what’s the purpose for them to enter the room without my consent and my present? I questioned by expressing this may be a careless mistake which I do not wish to happen to anyone anymore, then I had left the scene and leave it as it is. It HAPPENED AGAIN next day, I was frustrated and questioning the hotel again. They said they will ‘investigate’ and given me an explanation of what was happening. 2 hours later they rang to my room, and informed me that ‘due to you are staying alone with no companion, it is the policy of the hotel to check up on me to make sure I’m safe’ Really? ARE YOU SERIOUS? This is what they replied me of the case. Number 1, if this is the actual reason, why don’t they tell me the first time when this was happened. Number 2, I had clearly stated I do not wish to be disturbed and yet it has not been respected. Number 3, due to the nature of my occupation, I’m staying in different hotel 9 months out of the whole year. I had never ever heard of this. Long story short, I will not going back to this hotel nor recommend to anyone.
