Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

Rara volta ho scritto recensioni, ma questo hotel mi ha voluto scrivere uno. Se sei venuto a Dali e è inondato da un gran numero di hotel, prenota questo. Perché? Svegliatevi.
1) Posizione: 10/10. Solo all'inizio del famoso S-bend lungo il corridoio ecologico e a metà distanza dalla città antica di Dali e Xi Zhou. A 10 km. lontano dalle folle ma abbastanza vicino ai luoghi di vista. Facile da ottenere un didi.
2) Vista: 10/10. La vista marea er hai è la tua finestra nella stanza, senza quadro pieno di vetro. Migliore parte, guardare il sole alzare ogni mattina al comfort del tuo letto.. Fidati di me, la vista è incredibile.
3) Comfort della camera: 10/10. Il decoro è 5 stelle di lusso. Bagni di vetro completi, letti luss, sistemi di doccia di portata bassa, TV 50 pollici, costruito in aria condizionata, bagno automatico, sistema di casa intelligente. Cosa si può chiedere. Anche il tovagliolo da bagno è standard Ritz-Carlton.
4) Servizio: 20/10. Sì 20/10. Hanno superato il livello d'oro. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati al momento in cui abbiamo lasciato, il loro servizio non è meno sorprendente. Appariscono quando li hai bisogno e non li vedrai quando hai bisogno di privacy. Non credo che siano addestrate a dire ”no” alla vostra richiesta. Mi sorprende che ci abbiano servito dessert nella nostra stanza senza chiedere.
5) Servizi: 10/10. Un intero frigo di bevande e birra e creme di ghiaccio a vostra disposizione. Aiutatevi a qualsiasi momento del giorno a costo assolutamente zero. Portate tutto il frigo a casa se volete.
6) Colazione: 8/10. Mini buffet stile e devo dire che è buono per il standard cinese. L'unico svantaggio è la zona di colazione, piccola e rumorosa.
Per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato, è un chiaro negoziato per l'hotel.

NNEWJCloud House Hotel is hands down the best lakeside stay we've ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, the service was beyond 5 stars — the staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. They even came to pick us up and carried our bags, which was such a thoughtful touch.
When we wanted to explore the lake on an e-bike, they not only showed us where to rent one but also helped communicate with the rental shop. Truly above and beyond! In the evenings, they served delicious snacks and even prepared a comforting midnight soup — it felt like home.
One of the most memorable moments was when I requested a piece of cake for my kid’s birthday. The next morning at breakfast, they surprised us with a beautifully decorated plate and a complimentary slice of cake. My child was overjoyed and said it was the best birthday ever! The cake was not only thoughtful but also absolutely delicious.
We were also lucky to be upgraded to a room with the best view — waking up to the stunning lake and mountain scenery was magical. The bathroom was modern, clean, and very comfortable.
To top it all off, the whole hotel is beautifully designed and incredibly Instagrammable. There's even a super cute cat that made our stay feel even more homely and warm. Halal food is conveniently located just about 100 meters away, which was a huge plus for us.
We absolutely loved everything about Cloud House and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommended!

AAmr Mohamed Sayed MohamedA great hotel with a great view over the lake. We liked our room very much. Staff are helpful despite a lack of English speaking skills. They will use translation apps to try to communicate with foreign guests, which is appreciated. The bar service was not very good, though. The staff in the bar were not welcoming, as if we had come in during non-working hours. Location is in the city centre, but there is always traffic in that area due to congestion.

SSanliEra la mia prima volta a Dali. Ho cercato un hotel per molto tempo e ho visto questo per caso. Davvero, come dicono le recensioni, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. L'hotel è molto vicino alla città antica, a circa 10 minuti a piedi. C'è anche la Dali University nelle vicinanze e molti cibi deliziosi nei dintorni. La sera prima del mio arrivo, Xiaohe, l'impiegato alla reception dell'hotel, mi ha chiamato in anticipo e mi ha aggiunto su WeChat. Mi ha inviato con cura la posizione dell'hotel e il meteo a Dali, e mi ha ricordato quali vestiti portare per il viaggio. Il giorno del check-in, ho continuato a mandare saluti su WeChat. Quando sono arrivato in hotel, mi è stato dato un upgrade gratuito a una camera con vista mare. La vista dalla camera era davvero fantastica. Ho potuto sdraiarmi nella vasca da bagno e godermi la splendida vista del lago Erhai da lontano. Anche i servizi in camera sono molto buoni, con una buona connessione WiFi e acqua calda. Il piano originale era di fermarmi solo un giorno, ma ho deciso di prolungare la mia permanenza.

__WeChat10656****Questo hotel mi piace molto. L'area esterna è progettata in stile giardino e sembra che ovunque nel cortile ci siano paesaggi pittoreschi. Si trova a pochi passi dal villaggio Wenbi e dalle tre pagode del tempio Chongsheng. Lo spazio interno è ampio e dalla finestra si può ammirare la montagna Cangshan. Il design di ogni piccolo edificio è unico e raffinato. Vivere qui ti fa sentire al sicuro e a tuo agio, con piccoli ponti, acqua che scorre e alberi ombrosi. Anche la colazione è deliziosa, con caratteristiche tipiche dello Yunnan e un buffet cinese e occidentale. Durante tutto il processo avrete a disposizione un maggiordomo dedicato, molto professionale. Altamente consigliato per viaggi in famiglia o con i genitori. Si trova inoltre vicino alla città antica di Dali, all'Erhai Lake Cafe e alle attrazioni di Haixi.

SShawty Herondale秋笛 管家 is very kind and welcoming when my parents and I reached the place. They had helped us with our luggages and ensure that we are well covered. Also, we are welcomed with the afternoon tea which up till 7pm (one cake and 3 drinks)
We did not manage to get the free photography session, which is kind of wasted, but they assured that we will be given in the next visit, but I prefer that they can provide something to us in exchange.
The next day we are rushing for breakfast, so she prepared white bread and milk for us.. hmm also one thing to note, the washroom and shower room is only bounded with curtain, which is quite embarrassing if you were with your parents..

We love the modern n stylish interior. Boss n Lady boss were super friendly n welcoming. We spent time chit chatting to them and as foodies themselves, they recommended favorite restaurants n even down to the mushrooms to order when taking the mushroom hotpot. We love the location as it’s walking distance to the morning market where there’s so much to see n eat , the fruits were super fresh n sweet. In fact they also serve buffet style breakfast so the kids enjoyed their western style toast after days of eating mixing. Overall, super value for money, great location for foodies n roaming around the ancient town.

UUtente anonimoHighly recommended hotel! Just 7-10mins walk from railway station. From the station you can see the hotel across the road. Just take the overhead bridge and you're there. We took the triple room and it comes with breakfast. Many halal restaurants around the hotel. Reception is very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier at 1pm and late check out at 4pm as our train was at 530pm. It's located in the middle, 30 mins taxi to Ancient City or Dali Santorini. You won't regret staying here!
