This was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room. The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into Meituan. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered Meituan again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from Meituan. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger. My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. The morning sun was too strong from one window so I used a chair to prop open the curtains on the other window. 4. There is a lack of foreign programming on the television. Other hotel chains that I use have a free English movie station like HBO or Cine-Max. I travel with a USB stick that has some movies saved on it in case the hotel does not offer such programming. However, the original TV remote is not supplied in the room and there is no way to change the TV input from their satellite box to the USB port. I did not have my laptop with me. I inquired with Sally at the front desk but there was nothing that she could do. There was an option to order pay per view movies. 5. The next problem is my error. I put the paper do not disturb sign on the door. I did not realize that there was also a button on the light switch that turns on a green light outside of the door when you want the room cleaned. I accidentally turned on the light. The maid walked in on me without knocking first. She was very kind and apologetic. I did not use all hotel amenities. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.

Ho prenotato 2 camere per 2 donne ciascuna. Al momento della prenotazione ci sono state assegnate camere in edifici diversi. Al momento del check-in, sono stato sistemato in una stanza in un edificio con l'aiuto del dipendente dell'hotel Song Xiulin. Il dipendente Song Xiulin ha detto che il mio telefono coreano utilizzava Alipay. Mi ha aggiunto come amico a (支付宝) e mi ha gentilmente inviato il menu della cena, lo spettacolo serale, la mappa escursionistica del monte Hwangsan, il meteo, ecc. Penso che questo sarà uno che ricorderò a lungo perché è stato il personale dell'hotel più gentile che abbia mai incontrato durante i miei oltre 30 viaggi in Cina. Se hai domande durante il soggiorno al Baekun Hotel, chiedi a questa persona. Ancora una volta, vorrei ringraziare Song Xiulin. Il pasto dell'hotel è delizioso. If you are planning to visit Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) Shanshui Boutique hotel is conveniently located as it is just 25 min drive (by taxi) from high speed train station, also easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45-60min) to access the Mountains, and less than 40 min to get to Xidi ancient vilage. The architecture is a must, you can appreciate the old facade mingled with the new avant garde design that faces the river and the swimming pool. It also has plenty spaces designed to relax while drinking some tea, coffee, etc as well as a playground -we always thank when traveling with small kids-. It also has a spacious library room where you can relax reading a book, playing cards or just having a cup of coffee. The swimming pool is also key attraction specially if you are lucky with weather. Breakfast is buffet with a very good mixture of Chinese and western options available. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi old street. But the best of all for us was Jerry, he personally guided us to visit some village nearby and also help with the Mountain tour suggestions. The staff also help us with some suggestions to eat local food nearby. So we definitely recommend staying in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese.

First time to visit Huangshan! And we can’t speak Chinese, thankfully we found this hotel😇 of all the hotel i called its the only hotel that someone is speaking english, other hotels nearby just hang out at me😭😭 and said no foreigners… We are still on the way to Huangshan but the owner is so very kind to ask where are we and if we need help we can contact them at any time, actually the day prior to our trip😊😇 We finally meet them and welcomed us! We are so lucky to meet the Xiao Family👨‍👩‍👧 and of course there daughter Daisy🌼 They are very generous, offering help in everything 💞 even waking up very early just to bring us in the hospital for pcr test… driving us and fetching us after the hiking… very friendly family and there staffs😊😊 we felt like we are just a friend of the family owner… it’s more than a guests😭🥰 we had tea after dinner made by Mrs Xiao Xie 🍵 in her tea room…the breakfast and dinner we had is very good, we loved it, we finished all the food after the hike😋😋 We also swim at there swimming pool even if its cold, we enjoyed drinking beer and chitchatting with Daisy.. stargazing and enjoying with music… I highly recommend this hotel specially if you don’t speak Chinese and new to the place and reasonable price… also near grocery stores, restaurants and hospital to do pcr,…. It would be a perfect experience for you… and gain friendship 💞 The local people are kind and always smiling ☺️☺️ Even gave us snacks and when we leave mrs Xie gave us snacks to eat on the way🥰 so sweet mother and daughter We are looking forward to visit and stay with them next spring festival 😁🤩 Thank you so much Daisy and to your mom and family💞🥰

Era pulito, moderno e offerto tutto quello che avevo bisogno. Come si è detto in altre recensioni, nella stanza sono disponibili giacche calde. Il buffet per colazione è stato incluso e più che sufficiente. Il buffet per cena è stato 180 per persona, e offre anche molte opzioni. La qualità dei cibi era piuttosto buona, che superava le mie aspettative. Aveva una stanza sul piano superiore, con luce di cielo, le scale erano dure dopo un lungo giorno, da quando non c'era ascensore, ma nessuna lamentela. Molto consiglia questo hotel sopra gli altri!

Dopo aver scoperto Yellow Mountain, posso dire che la posizione era anche la migliore che puoi avere per un viaggio perfetto! A buona distanza per un tramonto perfetto, a buona distanza per un'alba perfetta e la vetta più alta (e il posto più bello di Huangshan) Lotus Peak! Grazie! Ho passato il mio compleanno in ritardo 🥳 ed erano estremamente bravi e mi hanno fatto arrossire!
