The place was good enough for purpose,
and the security staff very friendly.
However they need to sort out the mattresses!!!!!
Did not have an inch of sleep felt like I was being stabbed in my ribs. So left very early the second night as was so tired.
Parking is also very very difficult around that area. Although you can park overnight in the car park you would not be able to leave at short notice as they lock the car park overnight. So have to park on the road and then be up at 8 to start paying for parking using the RINGO app.
It served its purpose as overnight stay.

Second time of staying and happy to report no issues. Comfy, clean and large room. A few suggestions to make the stay even better. Upgrade the size of the TV, considering the size of the room, have the window latches looked at as they can pop open, thereby allowing an increase in noise from outside and although very nice, don’t think, for stays of two days, that it necessary to clean the room each day.

The location of the hotel is fantastic-town centre, in front of the beach, sea view. Parking is alright, at the back yard. Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful, let us in 1 hour prior to official check in time. Soundproofing is good, didn’t hear our neighbours.
Breakfast was lavish, fresh and tasty.
In this property location sells itself. The building is tired, but luckily maintained. Curtains in the room are crying to be washed, dust is not wiped for days (if not weeks), tv was very stinky and not working, our bed was small and short for two of us (queen size I believe), water pressure in shower was too weak, carpets with all the possible stains, same as sofa, very unpleasant; waited for our breakfast for more than half an hour (though I received my vegetarian breakfast as I requested in my booking), coffee was only instant. I think, one night stay was too pricey for what it has, but overall impression is still rather good.
Summary - if you want a good location with easy access to the Clacton city centre and the beach - here you go, just don’t expect a lot

Non posso commentare il colazione (incluso nel prezzo della camera) perché non è disponibile nei fine settimana fino a dopo 8.30 e dovevo essere altrove da allora. Da 7.00 in settimana.
Il punto che ha lasciato il posto era il parcheggio - o più il punto, la mancanza di esso. Ci devono essere 40 camere, ma solo spazio per 4 auto! Tutti gli altri parchi auto intorno e ci sono abbondante, avevano un massimo di 4 ore di soggiorno segnali limite di visualizzazione. Piuttosto che rischiare un parcheggio / fine ho trovato un parcheggio stradale 5 minuti a piedi e sperava che la macchina sarebbe ancora lì mattina (era). Se vuoi una possibilità per i 4 posti dovete arrivare presto pomeriggio - il suo letto la sera con gli altri pub e clienti di sale che cercano lo spazio, è stato venerdì e sabato sera.

RRuth KhalineGreat Lodge is close to the airport (58 mins walking or 14 mins by bus). I wanted a place in nature, and I was served : multiple public footpaths and hiking trail (see picture).
The room was clean, spacious and warm. Didn't have soap or conditioner as mentioned, but I didn't need them since I had mine.
Check-in and check-out were easy (a person was at the front desk).

RRichard Emmanuel WLa posizione è un po' lontana dalla strada principale, ma la proprietà è ben situata. Un edificio pulito, ma l'acqua calda non ha funzionato nel bagno (forse ci deve essere qualche aiuto manuale per farla funzionare, se funziona). La mia TV non funzionava perché c'era un collegamento difettoso.Dovrebbe esserci un certo livello di controllo del rumore nell'edificio, come sentite tutti parlare dalle porte adiacenti.
