Australia: hotel con spa nella provincia di Queensland

L'hotel in stile resort ha almeno due piscine e una piccola spiaggia artificiale. I bambini adorano nuotare qui. Vicino all'hotel c'è un piccolo centro commerciale con un supermercato Woolworth, molto comodo per fare shopping. C'è anche un ristorante occidentale con un numero a due cifre, che sembra chiamarsi 63, e anche il cibo è buono. Per quanto riguarda i trasporti, ci sono molti autobus su un lato del centro commerciale che possono raggiungere il centro città. Il biglietto di sola andata costa 0,5 dollari e quello giornaliero 1 dollaro. È molto economico e molto comodo. Anche il servizio dell'hotel è buono! Tre adulti e un bambino hanno soggiornato in una camera tripla, con un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo, per niente affollata. In breve, se non si vive in centro città, questa è sicuramente un'ottima scelta!

Booking online with Trip was simple. The Dorsett have clean rooms and staff are lovely, plus it's attached to the Gold Coast ******. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is equipped for people with disabilities or use a wheelchair. This includes self opening and closing doors, shower and toilet set up with aids that can be pulled out to accommodate needs and there are wheelchair touch buttons for opening the door. I showered before going out and it flooded the bathroom, luckily there were 2 infloor drains. Within 2 mins or asking for maintenance they had a lovely young man up to fix it, then another minute later housekeeping arrived with fresh towels. The maintenance man also gave me a good rundown and recommendations on the restaurant's at the ******. 2 negatives - 1st, it is hard to work out where to park as you use the ****** parking, the carpark directs you where to go but there is no clear signage on where the hotel lifts are. I only knew this from a past visit over 2yrs ago. This is something that needs sorting out. 2nd, the entrance address for the hotel foyer is actually on the ****** entry side, so you drive around looking for it. I now know that instead of turning off onto The Darling Ave, as gps instructed, you take the slip road before The Darling Ave exit. This takes you past the residential tower and to the front of the hotel

Mixed Experience – Great Location, Poor Internet & Breakfast Setup The hotel is in a great location, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Facilities like the car park and lifts were well maintained and met expectations. However, as business travellers, the internet connection was a major letdown. The hotel appears to rely on a hotspot system, which was extremely unreliable—slow speeds and constant disconnections all weekend. Streaming services such as Netflix were unusable, and even basic browsing was frustrating. To make matters worse, the remote control had nearly dead batteries and worked intermittently. We were also disappointed with the rest and breakfast experience. After early starts each day, we were hoping for some quiet downtime in the afternoon, but this was hard to enjoy given the other issues. The weekend breakfast arrangement felt misleading. Instead of onsite breakfast, we received a $20 per person voucher to a nearby café. While the café was pleasant, it only opened at 7:30 am on weekends—not ideal when you're starting work at 6:30–7:00 am. And realistically, $20 doesn’t go far at most cafés these days, so it felt like a cost-cutting workaround rather than a genuine breakfast offering. On a positive note, Clara at reception on Saturday was professional and kind—she did her best to assist, though unfortunately there wasn’t much she could do. It seemed like her manager may have been present but avoided getting involved, which was disappointing given the situation.

L'hotel sembra nuovo e si trova in una posizione molto comoda. È molto vicino al molo della Grande Barriera Corallina, a soli sette minuti a piedi, e la camera offre una vista sull'oceano. Accanto c'è un delizioso ristorante vietnamita che serve pho e c'è un mercato notturno proprio accanto. Il problema principale di questo hotel è il forte odore di muffa, che si nota immediatamente fin dal momento in cui si entra nella hall. Sebbene il servizio fosse eccellente, la camera che ci è stata assegnata inizialmente era estremamente stantia e senza finestre. Dopo averlo segnalato alla reception, la signora ci ha immediatamente cambiato camera e ci ha offerto gratuitamente un upgrade a una con balcone. La nuova camera aveva ancora un odore di muffa, ma la situazione era notevolmente migliorata grazie alla ventilazione. Per motivi di salute, non consiglierei più questo hotel.

This resort has a really great swimming and transporting service! My room has a ocean view and the guest service are really nice ! Highly recommended to you guys if you visit airlie beach

Clean room and friendly staff only downside was the AC was not operating

I was mostly happy with the resort. There were some things missing like more food options (only two restaurants) and small luxuries like a sauna for example. It’s also hard to rate the staff as you had some incredibly helpful staff and then some real depressing ones that were just rude. The only other thing that was a bit of a shock was that the beaches were just full of dead coral and no sand. I hadn’t been to one of the islands in the Whitsundays so I was surprised to see that. The photos of the resort did not show this so it would have been nice to know so it didn’t lead to disappointment. Some positives though is that the resort was beautifully designed and they offered a lot of free water activities like kayaking for example. The buffet breakfast was also really nice.

Abbiamo amato il nostro soggiorno nel Castaways Resort a Mission Beach. La stanza era una stanza davanti alla spiaggia con belle viste. Era spaziosa, comoda e pulita.Abbiamo prenotato attraverso Trip.com a breve preavviso, ma hanno reso facile prenotare.

It’s nice and quiet, and pretty comfy, but there’s still a bunch of hair on the floor, and it doesn’t look super clean. The staff seemed a bit confused with the info, but it’s all good. Just don’t expect five-star service, that’s all.

Have previously enjoyed our staycations at the Ville but last night was terrible. Lifts were unreliable as they kept breaking down, this meant most times only 1 lift was working and wait times were crazy. A repeating mechanical noise made sleep difficult. The bath tub had a massive bubble which made standing very unstable. Ice machine on the floor wasn’t working. Was advised there would be no price difference if I were to pre book breakfast vs just showing up. Yet we were charged an extra $20 per person. Air conditioning in the lobby wasn’t working. When checking out, management seemed to have even influxes with similar complaints and were past the point of caring.
