We went for a ski trip and stayed in Hayamakan. Staffs greeted us very friendly, and introduced the facilities. Location was great - close to Yamagata and Zao Ski Resort. Breakfasts were amazing!

Located in a quiet neighborhood, staff is friendly and helpful. Limited parking space surrounding the hotel, but they got you covered, just check with the staff and they will sort it out for you. Location was right behind the JR station, there is convenient store and supermarket next to it. We had a family room with 3 double beds and sofa bed and a massage chair, the massage chair was the best after a day in the snow. 2nd floor is the reception and the place to hang out with free drinks, u can buy your own food and hang out there, if I go to Yamagata, definitely with go to this hotel again.
