Irlanda: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Contea di Meath

As the title says there is lots of positives but def areas that need attention. Firstly the package was very expensive over €600 for 1 night b&b with 30 min rasul treatment in spa and dinner in restaurant for 2. I don't mind spending extra but when I do then I expect very high standards to go with it. It's handy to get to just off motorway but then the trade off is it's not the most scenic place. The accommodation : On arrival we were very kindly allowed check in a bit early as a room was ready. There was a wedding on so we weren't in the old part ( where possibly the nicer rooms are) the room had an adjoining door into the next room and was very small for a ”deluxe” room as quoted In the package. We went to reception to ask to be changed and very kindly this was obliged. However the room we were moved to was in my opinion in poor condition. The wear and tear was very obvious. The walls were dirty looking and scuffed there were poorly repaired plaster work . For the price this was not what I expected. We again went back to reception and on this occasion met a manager who assured us he would take care of things and apologised. He took us to a 3rd room which I think may have been slightly bigger but at this point a realised all the rooms had a significant amount of wear and tear so it was time to accept this. The bed and furniture was fine but again the walls were scuffed and plaster work poorly repaired and just painted over. The bathrooms are clean but dated looking. The bathroom tap on several occasions covered us and the floor with water when you barely turn it. The sink blocked and when I extracted the plug hole to empty water the plug was not a pretty site. The bathroom door was partially painted . The room door has lumps out of it and the frame. The spa: The spa is the major highlight and would be somewhere we would return to. The staff were so lovely especially the lady on the desk who fit in a treatment for us last min. The facilities are really lovely and the outdoor hydrotherapy pool again a gorgeous spot. We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco arranged I believe from the manager we dealt with over the room and a bottle was left in our room. This was a lovely gesture. Food: We had lunch in the coach house. We had a steak sandwich which was OK. The meat was nice but the bread was soggy. The included dinner in fire & salt was very nice I had the soup then steak and finally the chocolate fondant. I enjoyed everything. Unfortunately I started feeling unwell mid way through dinner so went back to the room before we got to try the cocktail bar or live music in bar. This was a shame as we would of loved to experience the cocktails. The venue looked lovely from the outside. Breakfast was again lovely. I had a hot breakfast but as I was wasn't feeling great didn't get to try the cold buffet. Overall it was lovely to get away as a couple a break from our very busy lives with work and 3 kids. Da migliorare la pulizia e la colazione, servita troppo tardi per una clientela business e poco varia.

Mixed opinions. We had visited Emerald Park and booked an overnight here afterwards with kids. Didnt find reception helpful or friendly at all at check in or check out. Room wasn't ready. Receptionist told us this very bruskly and no indication when it might be ready or that she would call us or any information whatsoever. When room was ready we weren't given any information about anything...breakfast times, our included dinner which we were never given the voucher for, what facilities were available for the kids. Same on checkout. We handed the keys over and that was it. No goodbye, how was your stay etc. I wouldn't usually even notice but the levels of disinterest were pretty high. The room was big and nice. However there was definitely an issue with the aur conditioning which despite being set to cool blasted hot air and was so uncomfortable . They could really invest in some nicer play areas for kids given how many kids visit from emerald park trips. The arcade is nothing but a money spinner for the hotel. Would have been nice to have something the kids could use free of charge rather than lollipop vending machines and grabbers. The restaurant was good. We had dinner included and the staff here were lovely, the food was good and the portions were huge.

La nostra camera era davvero bella. Un piccolo balcone con vista sul castello. Super comodo letto, bellissime toletta e asciugamani di lusso. Eravamo davvero felici con la stanza. Ma il cibo non era allo stesso livello. Mangiamo nel bistro/caffè e siamo andati a un brutto inizio quando abbiamo sentito un tavolo vicino chiedere se il calamari era destinato a essere caldo o freddo! Il mio pesce era troppo cuoio e cuoio. Le patate e le piante accompagnate erano in molto breve fornitura. La colazione successiva era deludente - un servizio scarso, un tostapane, un bacon disgustoso che non era solo disgustoso ma anche disgustoso. Ci sono stati molti giovani inesperti ma molto piacevoli di aspettare che hanno bisogno di qualche guida e la zona di pranzo ha bisogno di un manager a mano

Bella struttura con camere grandi e moderne fornite di ogni comfort. Personale gentile e disponibile. Albergo situato in una zona tranquilla lontana dal centro abitato ma avendo a disposizione un'auto non abbiamo avuto problemi a raggiungere Dublino che dista circa 20 minuti. Comodo anche per la prossimità all'aeroporto.
