JJason2023I was allowed to check in early (11.30am). This place is huge! It feels like i'm staying in a national park. The room is very spacious, clean, very nicely decorated with water, toiletries etc. I'm very happy with the room and now keen to explore the grounds before heading out to the national park on the scooter. The grounds are well maintained in most areas but could be improved slightly in others. Nice to walk around but for cycling, the paths are so uneven and inconsistent, it's not a particularly comfortable ride. They also have some kayaks available. There is no road noise but if you have neighbours, the walls are thin so you will hear talking and scraping chairs occasionally. There is also a constant vibrating sound coming from across the river that reverberates throughout the parts which should be relaxing - some kind of large water pump, generator or farming equipment. I went to Erawan and arrived back at around 8pm, the restaurant takes last orders around 9 but they were serving food and drinks outside with a variety of food, from steak to pad thai, papaya salad, noodles, grilled chicken at different stations. With the outdoor seating area lit up and music playing, it is a super chill but lovely atmosphere. Breakfast: A little disappointing. It's more local (processed sausage and ham, more rice, vegetables and noodles etc). I tried the rice, vegetables, sweet and sour chicken - it was all cold. The egg was slightly undercooked so I just had fruit. It was a busy breakfast area and lots of people seemed to be enjoying the breakfast. It was much better on the second day! After a day of exploring around and up to Hellfire Pass, I arrived back at around 6pm. I went to the restaurant where I sat for 10 minutes - no staff came to me to ask if I needed anything despite lots of staff wandering around. I approached them and asked if the restaurant was open, to which they replied no, all food is outside. I wrongly assumed the restaurant was also open. I went to buy coupons for the outdoor food but this time they said it was a la carte - it wasn't very clear how to order food, tables didn't have menus so i asked for one. The food was okay - the stir fried beef was tough but the vegetables were okay. Most staff have low levels of English so communicating can be challenging.

SSupasaintLocated about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem! Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure. The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so. My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount ******, alongside many many others! Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story. “Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has. Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel. Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price. Life is precious, please enjoy the moment. Peace, love and joy to all who inhabit this world. ONE LOVE

DDonドニTraveling with friends but it's rainy so we stay longer and enjoy the facility. Amazed with the place, and love it. We play at the pools (yes, more than 1 pool) and continue taking pictures at the river. Well, everything was so good, but the fly at the resto during breakfast. Probably, because it is the rainy season, but I believe technology can answer. Got lost at night on the way to the resort since Google Map sent us at the wrong track just next to the entrance. It was scary and dangerous. Hope it can be fixed?

FFaheem HamidWe had a lovely time at Campster and stayed one night in the camper van. We arrived around 1 pm and got our room at 2 pm (we hadn't notified of our early arrival). We were served welcome drink (refreshing) while we waited by the pool for the room to get ready. The camper van was nice and compact with all basic facilities. The bunk beds can fit kids only. The location is out of the town but it was easy for find a grab. We paid around THB 200 from Death Bridge Railway station for a SUV which is reasonable. The driver offered us his services in case we needed to go around town or back to Bangkok but we had already booked a car for the next day to take us to Erawan in the morning and then to Bangkok in the evening (paid THB 2800 for SUV) whereas he had offered THB 3000. There are limited options for food (especially since we eat halal only). We ordered veg pizza's which were not bad. They also have the ready to make noodles and food price is reasonable. There is unlimited supply of water free of cost. Coffee is not great. You get a drink eggs and toasts for breakfast that can be served in the restaurant or to your room. The area is tidy and they have some activities like campfire (free marshmallows and yakult), swimming pool, playground/ garden, swings, bicycles and kayaks. For an additional cost they also arrange jet ski, standing board, water bike and wet raft. The staff are friendly and helpful but many of them don't speak English. The supervisor is a nice lady and speaks fluent english. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and i would prefer it any day over staying in a regular hotel.

UUtente ospiteWe have stayed at several U Hotel branches, and this one truly stands out for its exceptional service. The staff warmly welcomed us and were very friendly, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. They were proactive in accommodating additional requests, and even the housekeeping staff went above and beyond to assist us, there was a small gap under the door where mosquitoes could enter the room, but the maid quickly addressed it by placing a cloth to seal it. We were genuinely impressed by their attentiveness and dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience. The only area for improvement would be the warm water system, as it didn’t function consistently. Apart from that, everything else was excellent

TTonGA magical stay at Raya Buri Resort Kanchanaburi I had a wonderful experience at Raya Buri Resort Kanchanaburi, a floating hotel in the Sinakarin Dam. The location is stunning, surrounded by lush green hills and sparkling water. The road that leads to the resort is a scenic drive that sets the mood for a relaxing getaway. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with a beautiful view of the lake. The bed is comfortable and the shower is great. The resort provides canoes for guests to explore the lake and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast is delicious and varied, with both Thai and Western options. The resort is a photographer’s paradise, with many opportunities to capture the natural beauty of the area. The hills, the lake, and the passing boats create a picturesque scene that looks like a fairytale. And it is worthwhile to get up early to observe the sunrise: just beautiful! I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Kanchanaburi. It is a place where you can relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

杨逸麟Worth a visit and stay overnight here, the cat is cute, the view of the lake also is fantastic. Also there are some tips that you'd better check in before the night time, otherwise the dog of the owner may scared you at night 🤣 But the owner will come out if the dog barking. And just like most of the other hotel, you need to bring your own toothbrush, shampoo and hairdryer. In front of the guesthouse is a ww2 factory, they say will be a museum in the future, and some historical old wall hundred years ago which was used to agonist Mymmar invader

AAlvinOngIt’s a simple hotel. Has lots of parking space beside the building. Room has complimentary bunch of bananas, few pieces of sponge cakes, coffee and tea and 2 cans of Singha soda drinks. Has a clothes rack at the balcony. A recliner chair. Comfortable bed, quiet air con. Water pressure is good. Strong Wi-Fi. Nothing more to ask for. Everything we need is there. At night no reception, but the key card will let you open the lobby main door, another door that lead to the lift. So is double security system. About 1 km to Jeath Museum, 1km to JJ Night market, 650m to wash and go laundry shop. We love this small little hotel.
