This was a great place to stay in Ballina; centrally located so that we could park our car and mostly walk where we needed to go. Also was able to have the desk call us a cab if we needed to go farther. The room was small, but the bathroom was spacious and the bed was quite comfy. The only thing not comfortable was the heat, but the hotel furnished us with a fan and we tried keeping the windows open. We spent one evening at the downstairs bar with friends, which was cozy with live music. We spent another evening with friends at the bar upstairs, which was also terrific for our needs. One evening we ate at the restaurant with a fabulous river view seat. Loved watching the fishermen while we ate. Actually saw them catching salmon in the river! Plus our meal was absolutely delicious and the staff was attentive. Finally, we had four breakfasts in the restaurant and the quality and quantity was terrific to get us through most of the day. Lots of variety to choose from, and they were open to flexible choices.

La struttura è stata molto interessante e si trovava in una posizione ideale per una riunione familiare speciale. Le camere sono state così confortevoli e con un sacco di spazio, il cibo era assolutamente fantastico per tutti i pasti nel bar e un bel colazione e cena al ristorante Luseas che era assolutamente fantastico. Il bagno è così bello se si desidera un bel trattamento il loro team sono professionisti eccellenti. Grazie a Carmel, Emma in prenotazioni per avermi aiutato a farlo, La nostra cameriera Aoife (Luses) per il fatto che il nostro fine settimana sia così speciale.Sarah, Shamus e la Murray Family Galway

Ho goduto molto di un passato a Knockranny e questa volta non era diversa.Abbiamo avuto una bella e confortevole camera deluxe che guardava Croagh Patrick e Clew Bay. Il personale era così efficiente e professionale, anche se il personale della sala da pranzo, con alcune eccezioni, era notevolmente meno caldo e amichevole rispetto agli anni precedenti. Sebbene il cibo fosse molto buono, l'offerta degli anni d'oro non era il valore che era sempre stata quando offreva quattro pasti e una bottiglia di vino da casa in una sera, ma era abbastanza giusto per Westport.

I stayed here with my 7 year old son who has autism. The staff are absolutely amazing. We were there on the worst night of the storm and the night after. The hotel did their very best to keep everyone looked after. The manager Boris was very professional and proactive. Martina is a lovely lady who went above and beyond. Tatiana was also lovely. It is very family orientated. They have a small pool especially for children. The food is wonderful, so tasty and really good quality. The hotel is very clean. Lots of free parking.

We stayed for 3 nights and we cannot recommend this hotel enough. All of the staff were excellent. There was a problem with my brother in laws wheelchair accessible room and it was sorted straight away. Our family room was very spacious with gorgeous fluffy towels in the bathroom. The food in the bar and restaurant was delicious. Great choice for breakfast although food titles beside each food would be helpful. Alison in the restaurant looked after our every need when we had dinner there. The housekeeping staff were always very courteous. My wheelchair user brother in law would like to especially compliment the staff member who brought down his suitcase to reception upon check out, without being asked. We will definitely return.

This was a disappointing experience. The property is handsome and clean, handy for town if you are driving. The room was warm but dark, even at lunchtime. Very 90's decor, beige and blue. I was looking forward to the sauna and steamroom. Tiny sauna and steamroom chipped, dark and mouldy. Also, you should know they are used by the local members of the leisure club, so it's rammed tight with noisy hairy guys, complaining about immigrants. Not a getaway. Most disappointing of all though was breakfast. The fare on offer was the cheapest supermarket bread, cereal and juices. The white bread burst into flames in the toaster! Shop bought hard soda bread. In an Irish hotel?! I asked for black coffee and was served a pot of Maxwell house coffee. It was the worst breakfast I've had. Anywhere. Interestingly no sign of managers checking food levels or if customers were happy. There was fruit one day during a 5 day stay. No bananas sighted. So despite the cost, I'd have had a better experience at a B&B. No warm greeting at arrival, nothing at departure. Ate in the restaurant in the evening - pretty good, but service hit and miss. It's a hotel for commercial travellers, if they still exist.

We stumbled on the town of Cong while vacationing in the area and heard about nearby Ashford Castle where pro golfer Rory McCilroy was married. You can actually walk there from town via a back road but normally you're not allowed to walk the grounds. We were lucky enough to have a hotel security guard give us a wink and let us roam around a bit. What a beautiful setting. I can see why it costs upwards of $2K a night to stay there. We never got inside but pictures from its website gives you a clue of its opulence. Amazing place.
