Islanda: hotel con internet nella provincia di Vesturland

An absolutely magical stay on the bay in Eastern Iceland — easily one of the most memorable cabins we stayed in during our trip. The location is simply spectacular. Waking up to seals swimming in the water and then lazing along the shore right in front of the cabin felt almost surreal. It’s the kind of place where you could happily spend hours just looking out at the bay and watching the wildlife go by. The cabin itself was beautifully designed, cosy and exceptionally well equipped. The hosts had thought of so many little details that elevated the stay — from good-quality cookware and a well-stocked kitchenette to spices, pasta and rice in the pantry, luxurious Icelandic herbal teas, a generous selection of Nespresso capsules and welcome chocolates waiting for us on arrival. These thoughtful touches made it feel far more like a boutique retreat than simply a cabin stay. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and despite its compact size, the kitchenette and washroom were thoughtfully designed and completely functional. We especially loved the telescope provided for wildlife spotting — such a brilliant addition given the incredible surroundings. And, of course, the sunroof was a highlight in itself. There is something incredibly special about lying in bed and looking up at the Icelandic sky (would be amazing during Aurora season)! Peaceful, intimate and surrounded by nature, yet with all the comforts you could ask for. Between the seals at our doorstep, the beautiful bay views and all the thoughtful details inside, this was a truly special Icelandic stay and one we would return to in a heartbeat.

Abbiamo aggiunto la biancheria da letto a un costo aggiuntivo, ma poi abbiamo dovuto installarla noi stessi. Siamo già stanchi di viaggiare da lontano e sistemare la biancheria da letto da soli è inaccettabile. Per quanto riguarda il bagno in comune degli uomini (non il WC), il pavimento è pieno di sporco, e senza pantofole è stata un'esperienza pessima. Facevo la doccia a piedi nudi perché viaggio solo con le scarpe. Dato che c'è una breve distanza tra la camera e il bagno che bisogna attraversare, anche le pantofole di altri viaggiatori si sono sporcate e sono entrate nella zona doccia con le pantofole ai piedi. C'è molto spazio per la cucina in comune, il che è fantastico, ma la serratura automatica della porta la rende molto scomoda per una persona sola che sta cucinando e deve aprire la porta al partner, perché una camera viene assegnata solo con un mazzo di chiavi. Non mi aspettavo che la vista completa della cascata dalla finestra fosse riservata solo per ordinare il pasto, altrimenti avrei preferito consumare lì un pasto per il panorama, purtroppo mi sono perso la fantastica colazione.

Il pavimento è caldo, anche se ci sono forti ventosi di notte nella zona, nessuno parla intorno. Il suono del vento è come il rumore bianco naturale, e ci sono mini bar bevande, tè e caffè inclusi nel prezzo dell'alloggio. Il personale di servizio è molto buono, l'ambiente è molto tranquillo, eccetto per i fattori naturali, è luminoso e pulito, e l'aria non è fredda.

A little further out from Borgarnes but it’s a nice quiet place. It’s very cute and had everything needed during the stay. The breakfast had a large variety but pretty simple—still a good spread though no continuous restocks through breakfast time. There’s only stairs to get up to the second floor in the main building. The common area/lobby was very nice and cutely decorated. I greatly appreciated the various board games provided and we spent the night playing, laughing, and relaxing after a long day. Overall a clean place! Staff were very friendly and nice too!

Very helpful staff and the bed is really comfortable. The common areas are a bit dated and the bathroom is a problem in that the position of the sink makes it hard to use and the shower floods the bathroom unless you built a towel wall to contain the water to the shower but then you have sopping wet towels to deal with. The shower setup is the kind of thing you have to put up with in India and other 3rd world countries. This place is not close to any grocery stores so you have limited food options. I had the dinner buffet which was good but fairly expensive.

Tutto era perfetto.La nostra camera sopra le montagne. Il bagno condiviso era solo condiviso con un'altra stanza. Ci avevamo cenato lì ed era eccellente. Il colazione era anche molto buono.

Nella penisola di Snæfellsnes non ci sono molte opzioni di alloggio, ma questo hotel si trova a una buona distanza da attrazioni come Kirkjufell (la ”Montagna del Cappello”) e la colazione era piuttosto buona. L'unico neo è stato che la bistecca e le costolette d'agnello a cena erano un po' troppo asciutte.

Quiet and clean hotel with lots of facilities which allow guests to enjoy. We arrived at the hotel late (after 9pm) and the hotel restaurant was still able to serve us food that was way beyond our expectations - the waitress was extremely kind and helpful. We were also able to catch the northern lights which was a pleasant surprise considering the time of the year (August). Overall, we are very pleased with our stay here.

Guesthouse con habitaciones amplias. Muy bien situada y unas vistas espectaculares. La cocina bien equipada, aunque nos faltó un sacacorchos porque alguien se lo habria llevado, lo pedimos y en 5 minutos nos picaban acla puerta de la habitacion con un nuevo sacacorchos. Es una lastima que alguna gente solo piense en ellos y no en lo comun. Dispones de 2 neveras, una para lo que utilices tu y otro donde sevpuede coger o dejar para otros. La verdad es que ha sido una de las mejores experiencias dentro de las Guesthouse.
