Felt like a good 10-15 minute walk from the centre to the hostel. Good security measures. Bar is a little small and no room to move around at breakfast time and people are hovering and it gave me anxiety looking for the breakfast food as it was overwhelming with so many crowded people. Although can’t complain as it’s free and comes with your booking. Decent rooms but 2nd night in there is no cleaning I.e vacuuming not done as of yet and there’s a dead bug on floor. Friendly staff at the counter. Spacious room for luggage (6 bed share) and you need a thick locker key set for the lockers. Byo shower mat, slippers, hangers. Great bedside sockets curtain privacy!

Good location, however in the faucet everytime you switch to hot or cold water something yellow spits out every couple seconds. There was a mini bar and we did not touch it yet still got charged for a peach water which I did not use and when I phoned once I got the bill they told me that because it was in my room I was charged regardless if it was touched by us or not. My partner and I did not drink anything from there and no one was in our room. Otherwise good location for going out in the downtown and very comfortable beds
Excellent hotel at a great location. Breakfast was good but could be improved by providing variety of food and most importantly place the tag next to food tray.
Overall good experience, very convenient location and close to Airport, I am not sure about Hotel breakfast policy but they should consider keeping Egg Cheese Omelet separate from other meats i.e. Pork etc. Since some people have dietary need like myself and my family so we have no other options then to visit Tim Hortons or other place for breakfast although we have paid for the breakfast. I asked the same question with the reception guy but they were unaware so we have to wait until breakfast time for answers which is NO.
Away from the busy Jasper but it is value for money to choose Best Western Plus for the purpose of holiday accommodation. The price is not expensive with generous breakfast provided.
My pleasure to recommend to friends for their options if they wish to visit Jasper.
Room was average at best
Pillows lumpy and it affected my sleep
Went to buy a bottle of water it was 4.50
Carts for luggage disappeared and staff didn’t seem to care, got attitude when I asked if the coukdcfind them as I had 2 - 50 lb bags plus carry on
Cheap price but would try a different
place next time
Average at best!!!
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary-Airport for a quick stopover. As a frequent traveler through Alberta, I find this IHG property generally reliable, but my January visit was a mix of classic hospitality and a few seasonal frustrations.
The Highlights:
Late Night Relaxation: The pool area was buzzing with families and kids throughout the afternoon and early evening. However, I headed down about an hour before closing and it was a total shift in atmosphere. I managed to have a peaceful, quiet session in the hot tub, which was the perfect way to unwind after a long drive.
Comfortable Rooms: As expected from this brand, the bedding was crisp and the room was well-insulated against the Calgary wind.
Convenience: The proximity to the airport and easy access to Deerfoot Trail remains a major selling point for this location.
The Drawbacks:
Elevator Maintenance: It was a bit unfortunate that during my stay, one of the elevators was down for modernization maintenance. This led to some noticeable wait times in the lobby, especially during the morning checkout rush when everyone had luggage.
Winter Parking Issues: This was my biggest hurdle. Given the intense cold during these Calgary nights, I was relieved to see outdoor stalls with plug-ins. However, I discovered the plug-ins were not powered, meaning my vehicle's block heater wasn't working overnight. Starting a cold-soaked engine the next morning was a struggle; I’d really love to see these activated for guests during the winter peak.
Summary:
Despite the elevator delay and the parking power issue, the staff were friendly and the amenities were clean. It’s a solid 4-star experience, though a few ”winter readiness” improvements would make it a 5.

A great hotel with wonderful service. I spent the full day working from the room and then enjoyed the amenities after. Incredible staff at the front desk and were able to check me in early.
Ottimo

UUtente anonimoTutti i dipendenti, dal desk front to engineering maintenance, sono grandi.Anche il personale del ristorante può voler sorridere. 😊
UUtente ospiteHotel room was clean and staff were kind The temperature of the hot tub was lukewarm and jets barely moved the water, also the shower water pressure was very poor but otherwise a good stay. We didn’t opt into dining for there for breakfast just had other plans.
UUtente ospiteWe've never come across this kind of experience before,my wife's sister in-law has gone to heaven, that's why we've to cancel the Hotel booking. It's a free cancellation show on the booking page, but the Hotel said ”No”. That's why we didn't come to Calgary and never stayed a night at the Hotel. If you kindly fix this case, we'll book Hotel from you in the future, thanks for your kindly help. We're seniors, both of us are over 70 years old, thanks God, we have a good life! We still can travel in Europe and Asia every year!!
UUtente ospiteOverall it was a decent stay here. Pros:
-Clean room with comfortable beds
-Shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. -nice clean waterpark with helpful and friendly attendant who did not rush us at the end of the night when our young kiddo was dragging his feet to avoid having to leave - heated pools and 2 water slides made the hotel more appealing for us with having our kids along Cons: - the waterpark slides did not have enough of an angle so we couldn’t get down the slides with out having to propel ourselves at times which was odd but also nearly comical
-tiny rooms especially for the price. It felt a bit cramped with the limited furniture and the kids on pull out sofa. - the bathroom door provided zero privacy from the rest of the room with no sound barrier, plus it had a “frosted” glass panel as the main part of the door so it was completely see through, and was a tiny bathroom. - no in room microwave so we missed out on being able to heat up leftover takeout from our trip to help us keep costs down and reduce waste unless my husband went hunting for one to use on the main floor, but that was quite a hike when we are on 4th floor so food was cooled right down by the time it made it back to our room. - ordering from the menu at the onsite breakfast restaurant was expensive and the food was quite disappointing. My kids seemed to enjoy the breakfast buffet at least which was free for 5 & under at least.
UUtente ospiteIl prezzo è molto amichevole, il personale di servizio è molto educato e il personale di custodia si pulisce ogni giorno.La guancia è molto lontana dal bus, ci vuole circa dieci minuti, ma è anche buona ad adattarsi.
TTaixueAs I arrived at there late evening after 10pm, parking lot is full, the staff are helpful to find an alternative parking space. Good location except less parking lot
UUtente ospiteThe hotel is situated in close proximity to everything in Banff. We enjoyed walking to buses, shops and restaurants. There are plenty of options for travel to the many sight-seeing destinations. The only open restaurant is the Italian one and we didn't like the coffee there so we went out for meals, although we did have a couple drinks at the bar and that was nice. We did se that the pool was being enjoyed by various guests.
The concierge was very helpful in letting us know how to get around and to help schedule the gondola excursion.
It is a big place that is very nice and will be incredible, when all the renovations are complete.

UUtente ospiteGreat location in Canmore, right on the main street and over the road from the Policeman's Creek Boardwalk. Bed very comfy and clean. Only negative was that the room looked a bit newer in the advertised photos, so in reality it was a bit tired. But it has free parking and the location makes up for it!
