Repubblica Dominicana: hotel con servizio colazione nella provincia di Puerto Plata

I just finished my stay at the Gran Ventana Resort, and while there were some nice things, overall I had a very poor experience and they run a scam operation, use caution when booking this resort. Immediately upon my arrival I attempted to check in and was told that my fiancé was not allowed to stay in the resort with my booking. She is from the Dominican Republic and according to Gran Ventana my booking was for foreigners only. They proceeded to charge me 40% more than my original booking, only because I was with my fiancé who is Dominican. I was planning on meeting with a wedding coordinator and exploring my options about having a wedding at this location in the near future, however any chance of this was immediately erased when they scammed me. No where in the booking was this ever explained and I advise using extreme caution when both booking on Trip.com and booking at the Gran Ventana Resort. I would love for a representative or a manger to reach out to me.

Bene, nelle strutture, il problema era la penalità che mi hanno pagato per essere dominicano. Dovrei pagare tutto per la stessa prenotazione e non avere il momento scomodo al check-in.

My experience at the Lifestyle Tropical Resort Cofresi was overall very good. The parking was odd, as I had to leave my vehicle on the roadside, as there was no parking lot. The reception area was outside as the lobby was under renovation. The reception personnel were polite, but not particularly enthusiastic about helping the customers. I had to wait nearly an hour to get my room key. Still, not a bad check-in. The room was in a quiet area, not far from the buffet. The buffet was nice and offered enough variety to please my appetite. The VIP beach area was what I liked the most. I appreciate having two bars, two sets of bathrooms, and a sushi bar on site. My only issue with the VIP beach is that there were only 4 or 5 chars to sit on. Often the chairs were occupied by other people's beach towels and not available to me. I find that there are too many beds in this area and no chaise lounge chairs. The VIP staff were polite and attentive. I found that some of the bars were closed before their scheduled time. When I asked one bartender about this, he said they had to start cleaning early or they wouldn't go home until 1:00 am. Overall, I had a nice stay. I will plan on returning in the future!

Pros: beach front, easy access to the beach, tranquility around the lounge beach chairs. Friendly staff Cons: hotel is dated, shower was too small. There were cucarachas coming off the AC vents. Staff came to address it right away, however. There are not elevators and it is difficult to bring luggage to 2nd and 3rd floors. The place was not design for people with mobility issues. Also people are allowed with dogs unleashed. One small dog came after me. When I approach the dog’s owner to ask if he could put his dog on a leash, he became belligerent, disrespectful, and a kind of racist. The hotel staff watched and did nothing. When I ask for the manager to complaint I was told she was on vacation (?) when I ask for whoever was in charge, I was also told that person was also unavailable. It was frustrating and disappointing as that was a safety issue that remained unaddressed.

Staff was very nice. However, while in the property you will not be able to nap in the middle of the day if that is your thing, it is way to loud since right in front of your window is the main street and lots of motorcycles pass by along with cars with hooked up loud music. if you are going with family you are better off staying in Puerto Plata or Cabarete. Sosua is really a town for men if you know what i mean. In this hotel you will be woken up by noise and talking people by usually 6-7 am. This happens any day/night while i stayed here. This hotel is about 20 mins from Cabarete and 30 from Puerto Plata. For a good night out of dancing i recommend visiting “Ojos” restaurant/club on the water which is located in Cabarete. In Sosua we checked out Santa Fe, it was very nice with good music and multiple pools and great staff and they also had cabanas.

Il Playa Bachata è un'esperienza di 3 stelle. Se vuoi un basso costo di tutti i portafogli inclusi, questo posto funziona. Non aspettare cibo, bevande o attività di alta qualità e non sarai deluso. Il personale, come in tutti i DR, è molto gentile e utile. Il processo di check-in era un po' lento, che è strano perché ero l'unico al check-in. La stanza era pulita, ma i mobili erano molto date. Mi sconvolse di trovare circa dozzine di voli che stava crollando al bar freddo di salate. La spiaggia è l’elemento centrale di questo resort. Mi piaceva sedere sotto gli alberi di palma e guardare il bellissimo mare e cielo. In generale, è stata una buona esperienza al punto di prezzo che ho pagato.

The staff was increíble welcoming and amazing and friendly....the front desk staff was excellent...exspecialy ( Esmayli De La Crux Felix ) she always smiling ..always willing to help...I enjoy the ambiance of the hotel...the food was flavorful and tasty...food 10 out of 10....my room 10 out of 10..Hot water perfect..my room always clean...find no fault ...my vacation was perfect..staff is extremely friendly...the hotel exceeded my expectations..I would go Back to this hotel because of the People..the service..and the food........also Cleanliness 10 out of 10.....I will recommend Iberostar to all my friends..

Birthday celebration- location was perfect. Off season - Weather in the 90's - more staff than guests. Breakfast at the pool everyday with spectacular views, no one else was there. Take the classic car tour for 3 hours - well worth it. Rooms were ideal - spa was most accommodating - booked 2 different massages plus the Romantic Getaway package - Itself a great deal. Ana - our reservation specialist was responsive and to the point on all requests. Greilly our concierge handled all requests even on short notice and gave great advice, Looking forward to a return trip in the Fall!

Ho goduto il mio soggiorno a Casa Marina. Bello servizio. Convenientemente situato passi lontano da Playa Alicia. Ha anche la sua sulla spiaggia privata. Il ristorante a buffet non poteva essere posizionato meglio per godere la bellezza del mare mentre godeva un delizioso pasto. Il pranzo e la cena sono sempre buoni, troverai sempre qualcosa che ti piace.L'unica cosa con cui non sono d'accordo è la politica degli ospiti, l'hotel non permette ”ospite fuori”.A parte questo.Mi fermerò di nuovo

Ben ospitato, ambiente paesaggio davvero bello, buone strutture nell'impianto, buona cucina a un prezzo molto equo. Il più grande plus è il silenzio che il luogo emette. Wi-Fi è a volte un po 'debole, alla spiaggia pochi centinaia di metri.
