Grand hotel Don't expect luxury but given the price point you know this already The rooms are small but functional with everything you need for your stay including a great coffee machine that's up daily. Il pranzo è ben oltre quello che mi aspettavo e aveva cereali, carne, yogurt, pane, formaggi, salsicce, uova e probabilmente molto di più! Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dal noleggio di sci Bayard, e un altro minuto per la ferrovia Gornergrat che vi porta sulle tracce Dalla struttura, si può essere sul treno in meno di 10 minuti. Il personale è molto utile e ci ha permesso di tenere le borse lì l'ultimo giorno, anche se abbiamo controllato. Se i vostri piani sono di sciare tutto il giorno, andate fuori in una sera e lo userei come un posto per dormire.

My wife have grown quite fond of mountaintop lodgings for our ski holidays and they don’t come much more emblematic than 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat. Perched atop a peak facing the iconic Matterhorn, it exemplifies the panoramic views and towering location that we adore. Make no mistake, despite my issues raised below, this is a truly magical property. But it isn’t cheap and it comes with a number of limitations that you should be aware of marooned in the middle of nowhere. • COMFORTABLE ROOMS WITH STUNNING VIEWS – Especially the Matterhorn view rooms where the image of this iconic promontory fills your window. • NICELY PRESENTED FOOD – Not quite gourmet, but a clever effort to dress it up with alluring ingredients and garnishes. But the food is tasty and the portions are ample. HINT - GETTING THERE IS VERY COMPLICATED – Do not just put the hotel in your satnav as it will not be able to help you and you will hit lot of problems. Here is a step-by-step guide to getting there: • AVOID THE CAR-TRAIN: The satnavs will give you the fastest route that takes you on a route where you load your car onto a train to be transported through a shortcut tunnel, BUT that train runs very irregularly. So you end of up waiting an hour for a train that saves you 30 minutes of driving time. • GO TO TASCH, SWITZERLAND: Tasch is where you park your car. In fact, I think that the town’s sole purpose in life is to be a giant parking lot for Zermatt. You see Zermatt itself is CAR FREE. So you have to park in Tasch and take a 12 minute shuttle train into Zermatt. I recommend the underground parking lot just to the left of the train station (facing it) which had reasonable prices (12 euros/day), plenty of spaces, but most importantly was the shortest walk to the station (very important when lugging luggage full of ski equipment). • RENT SKI GEAR AT BAYARD – Unlike most ski resorts, the ski rental shops are not obvious. We had to ask to find one. Several people recommended Bayard and they gave us great service. Most importantly, they are on the block adjacent to the train station again minimizing lugging distance. LIMITATIONS - It is a stunning, bucket-list worthy property, but its pricey rack-rates also command a bit of discernment… • OBSERVATORY NOT AVAILABLE – When you read about the place, one of the first things that gets mentioned is its observatory heritage which includes still operational telescopes available for public use. HOWEVER, the observatory is run by a separate company and viewings are only available by prior and separate arrangements. This situation could be better communicated and coordinated. • LOUNGE NOT AVAILABLE – Unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t yet have a common area lounge where you can relax and have drink. You can go down to the dining room and sit at one of the tables with the view of the Matterhorn, but nothing more comfortable. So it is either a table or your room. They are in the process of remodeling the facility and h

La posizione di questo hotel è ottima, vicino al centro città, con mezzi di trasporto convenienti e dintorni tranquilli. La pulizia della camera era impressionante e il letto era spazioso permettendoci di riposarci e rilassarci. Inoltre, il personale dell'hotel è stato molto accogliente e professionale, sempre sorridente e felice di rispondere alle nostre domande e fornire preziosi suggerimenti sulle attrazioni e sui ristoranti locali. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno piacevole e confortevole qui e consiglio vivamente questo hotel ad altri viaggiatori.

Having visited Zermatt many times I've always wanted to stay at the Zermatterhof and did for 4 days recently, it's fair to say I was very impressed. I was collected by taxi at the station and given a warm welcome and tour by one of the exceptional reception staff once I got to the hotel. Despite only booking a single room I was given a lovely room (404) on a rear corner of the hotel with views of the town and the Sunnegga mountain. The room was fairly small but airy due to 2 windows and a pair of French doors and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was very small but perfectly adequate. It was kept immaculately clean and I was surprised to find some bedding changed daily and other items changed every 2 days. The maid was friendly and ensured that everything like coffee pods were plentiful. I was welcomed at breakfast each day by the manager who was charming and made me feel like a regular despite it being my first visit. There was a great choice of food available both hot and cold meaning I rarely ate lunch. The piano player delighted us with a wide variety from Bach to contemporary pop. High winds meant my skiing was curtailed but the spa was a blessing and never busy despite what I read from a previous visitor. The Lussi restaurant was ok but the menu wasn't as exciting or extensive as I would have liked. It was a lovely experience with absolutely amazing staff who exceeded by expectation on each occasion. I hope to return very soon.

We stayed three nights at the Mirabeau and absolutely loved everything about it! Our room was wonderful for the 4 of us and had an incredible Matterhorn view. The hotel has a great little bar and the bartenders were fantastic and personable. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with local recommendations, and especially helpful with the return of an item we had left at a restaurant in Findeln while hiking. The breakfast was good. The hotel has a pool which was great for the kids. A fantastic experience all around and if I ever get back to Zermatt, I will be staying at the Mirabeau!

Perfetto, ho fatto un weekend. La cosa che si apprezza è il funzionamento perfetto di tutto, e il servizio con calore italiano. Ottimi ristoranti e qualità food eccellente, consiglio assolutamente per il calore umano.

Siamo tornati con molta soddisfazione in questo stupendo hotel a Zermatt e siamo stati benissimo. Personale estremamente gentile,ottimo servizio shuttle x la stazione,camere bellissime e spaziose dotate di ogni comfort e splendida vista sul Matterhorn. Colazione abbondante e cena deliziosa nel ristorante dell hotel molto caratteristico in legno e ambiente raffinato. Il punto forte è la nuovissima spa...splendida!!Eravamo stati all hotel 4 anni fa ed era già molto bello con tanto di spa e piscina ma da poco la spa è stata completamente costruita nuova...fantastica con tanto di jacuzzi su terrazza, piscina coperta con acqua a sfioro e vasca idromassaggio, accogliente angolo bbi e reparto sauna e hammam splendido il tutto compreso nel prezzo della camera. Non vediamo l ora di tornare a trovarvi!!!

Posto carino, siamo stati per 2 notti ad aprile con il mio amico e abbiamo avuto una bellissima camera con vista sulle montagne, ben attrezzata e con un'organizzazione molto pratica. Abbiamo cenato al Myoko (il ristorante giapponese) ed è stato davvero delizioso con un ottimo servizio. Da provare assolutamente i cocktail asiatici! L'hotel è nel mezzo del villaggio vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e al treno del Gornergrat. Torneremo sicuramente, forse anche quest'estate!

è la seconda volta che andiamo al Beausite dopo il suo restauro , è siamo sempre sorpresi della bellezza di questo hotel , in pieno centro a Zermatt . La camera con vista sul Cervino è unica e svegliarsi con questo panorama sembrava di essere in paradiso . I letti sono enormi e ti fanno sprofondare in un sonno dolce e al mattino non vorresti mai alzarti , la colazione è piena di qualsiasi cosa che uno possa desiderare uno e tutto sempre fresco. Il personale è molto gentile , dobbiamo fare un grosso complimento al Sig. Pietro che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa nostra e si è preso cura di ogni nostra richiesta . grazie ancora! In early May 2024, I spent 4 nights at Tradition Julen Zermatt, and I had an excellent experience! The accommodations were first rate with obvious care given to their guests' comfort and enjoyment. The staff at the front desk was more than helpful, and took the time to make sure each question was answered and every possible concern addressed. Additionally, the meals and service in the restaurant were outstanding. All staff members were personable and professional, especially Marco and Antonio whose attentiveness and humor added so much to my dining experience. Michelle (sp?) at the bar was a more than able conversationalist while serving me the best martinis in Zermatt. I'm sorry I don't have the names of numerous other staff members who added greatly to my stay. They all deserve a shout-out for their effort and attitude. I know where I will stay the next time I'm in Zermatt.
