SStellakwansyStaying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for.
The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences.
I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

Situazione a pochi minuti dalla stazione ferroviaria. La stanza dispone di una piccola cucina, e può vedere la vista Matterhorn.

UUtente ospitethe location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel.

breakfast is superb and staffs friendly
we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

AAudthewayLocation was right in the middle of the city, super convenient! Nearby the Zermatt main station, as well as Gornergrat station!
Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc.
the receptionist was warm and friendly and even extended us for an early check in when rooms are available.
The hotel was overall very cozy and clean, suitable for a short stay. The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

UUtente ospiteWe were rather put off going into our room as it had a bad smell to it and the bathroom in particular and surmised because of this, that something wasn't clean perhaps the carpet or drains to the toilet.
On the other hand the staff that served us for the evening meal and breakfast were polite and humorous and looked after us well so we cannot complain on this. We are happy to help you with the survey but don't want our names published please!.

UUtente ospiteDesidero esprimere la mia insoddisfazione per il mio recente soggiorno all'Hotel Bistrols dal 16 al 17 dicembre.
Durante il mio soggiorno, ho avuto un incidente che mi ha lasciato completamente insolito. Circa 20 minuti dopo il mio arrivo all'hotel, un altro gruppo di turisti (pensate che fosse un paio) è stato in grado di utilizzare la carta d'accesso all'hotel per accedere alla mia stanza, noi, entrambe le parti siamo sconvolte e super imbarazzate. Questa situazione ha sollevato preoccupazioni significative per i protocolli di sicurezza in vigore all'hotel. In qualità di ospite, mi aspetto un certo livello di sicurezza. Se la stanza era stata aperta accidentalmente senza la mia presenza, non sono sicuro che i miei beni scompariranno, questa situazione mi ha fatto dormire leggermente per tutto il soggiorno.
La mancanza di misure di sicurezza adeguate non solo ha compromesso il mio senso di sicurezza, ma mi ha anche fatto interrogare sulla gestione complessiva dell'hotel. In un'epoca in cui la sicurezza degli ospiti è fondamentale, credo che l'Hotel Bistrols dovrebbe dare la priorità a garantire che tutte le camere siano adeguatamente protette e che gli ospiti si sentano al sicuro durante il loro soggiorno.
Un altro punto da aggiungere è che la receptionista ha un atteggiamento sfavorevole nei confronti del suo servizio, tutta l'esperienza che non intendo fare in futuro per dare a questo hotel un altro tentativo.
Spero che l'hotel prenda seriamente le mie preoccupazioni e affronti queste questioni per i futuri ospiti.

Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money
