SStellakwansyStaying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for.
The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences.
I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

AAomduanI had a wonderful stay at this charming small hotel, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near Zermatt train station.
During my stay, a snowstorm caused a power outage and all train services were suspended, making it impossible to leave the town. Despite these unexpected circumstances, the hotel took excellent care of us. They provided helpful information, allowed us to extend our stay without any additional charges, and showed incredible kindness throughout.
The hotel owner was especially warm and accommodating, making a difficult situation much easier for us. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt.

UUtente ospiteDa Zermatt Station, ho dovuto salire su un pendio di rampa, trascinare una grande scatola di pelle un po'difficile.Il personale è molto amichevole e risponde flessibile alla partenza dopo il lavoro mattinale.La stanza è molto pulita e il balcone è un ottimo paesaggio. L'unica struttura conveniente è la rivelazione, ma ho portato un set di lavaggio di capelli, eccetera, quindi non ho problemi.Non c'è problema con la pressione dell'acqua nel serbatoio.Posso passare un tempo molto comodo.Se ho tempo, voglio vivere di più.

MMic HThis is the best hotel for our whole Switzerland trip, my wife loves this hotel a lot and so do I. This is a quite quiet hotel but with everything you need. They have spa facilities and it’s very modern design and a relax area after a day. We also visited the bar, the lady worked in the bar is friendly and professional, she recommend with the house red wine, you shouldn’t miss it. It’s one of the best wine I had. Don’t miss this hotel if you visit zermatt. We will return in summer time.

RrickychungkkHo avuto un soggiorno fantastico in questo luogo! La posizione era perfetta vicina al centro della città, trasporti pubblici, negozi locali, ristoranti. L'appartamento era pulito, ben decorato, e dotato di tutto quello che ci serviva per un soggiorno comodo. Il letto era molto comodo, e apprezzavamo i pensieri come il caffè complimentare, i bagni di lusso e un manuale con i suggerimenti locali.
L'ospite è stato un ottimo ospite, fornendo una comunicazione chiara e risposte rapide a qualsiasi domanda che abbiamo avuto.
In generale, Airbnb ha superato le nostre aspettative e lo consigliamo fortemente a chiunque visiti la zona. Spero di ritornare presto!

UUtente ospiteI wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Bistrols from Dec 16 to Dec 17.
During my stay, I experienced an incident that left me quite unsettled. Around 20 mins after my check-in to the hotel, another group of tourists (think was a couple) was able to use hotel access card to access my room, we, both parties are shocked and super embarrassed. This situation raised significant concerns about the security protocols in place at the hotel. As a guest, I expect a certain level of safety. If the room was accidentally opened without my presence, I am not sure whether my belongings are going to disappear, this situation made me had just a light sleep throughout the whole stay.
The lack of adequate security measures not only compromised my sense of safety but also made me question the overall management of the hotel. In an age where guest security is paramount, I believe that Hotel Bistrols should prioritize ensuring that all rooms are properly secured and that guests feel safe throughout their stay.
A point to add is that the receptionist has poor attitude towards her service. The whole experience which I would not consider to give this hotel another try in future.
I hope that the hotel will take my concerns seriously and address these issues for future guests.

UUtente ospiteKristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.

Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money

Hotel is directly opposite cemetery but don’t think too much and u be fine! Room is small but cozy (my photo is wide angle so seem bigger)
Hotel is very helpful to help pack a breakfast bento for me as I be leaving before breakfast hours (just inform the day before). I also managed to keep luggage after checkout at the common area (no lock and key) and retrieve it later.
