SStellakwansyStaying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for.
The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences.
I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

SSalina ManafThe room was small but cosy, though the value didn’t match the price. It was uncomfortably hot despite our attempts to adjust the temperature, affecting our overall comfort. Breakfast was simple and could be improved. However, John was professional and provided excellent service, which was a highlight of our experience. While there were positives, the stay didn’t fully meet expectations.

UUtente ospiteWe arrived about 1300 and the hotel was able to provide a flexible early check-in -very good as it allowed us to do some afternoon sightseeing. Room was very good with nice features, space and amenities. Breakfast was excellent. Staff helpful and provided good local advice. Only poor note was that the pool was out of service, which was disappointing due to the inclement weather that occurred during our stay.

Durante il mio soggiorno, una tempesta di neve ha causato un'estrazione di energia e tutti i servizi ferroviari sono stati sospesi, rendendo impossibile lasciare la città. Hanno fornito informazioni utili, ci hanno permesso di prolungare il nostro soggiorno senza alcun costo aggiuntivo, e hanno mostrato un'incredibile gentilezza in tutto il mondo.
Il proprietario dell'hotel era particolarmente caldo e accogliente, rendendo una situazione difficile molto più facile per noi.

RrickychungkkHo avuto un soggiorno fantastico in questo luogo! La posizione era perfetta vicina al centro della città, trasporti pubblici, negozi locali, ristoranti. L'appartamento era pulito, ben decorato, e dotato di tutto quello che ci serviva per un soggiorno comodo. Il letto era molto comodo, e apprezzavamo i pensieri come il caffè complimentare, i bagni di lusso e un manuale con i suggerimenti locali.
L'ospite è stato un ottimo ospite, fornendo una comunicazione chiara e risposte rapide a qualsiasi domanda che abbiamo avuto.
In generale, Airbnb ha superato le nostre aspettative e lo consigliamo fortemente a chiunque visiti la zona. Spero di ritornare presto!

UUtente ospiteKristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.

Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money

Hotel is directly opposite cemetery but don’t think too much and u be fine! Room is small but cozy (my photo is wide angle so seem bigger)
Hotel is very helpful to help pack a breakfast bento for me as I be leaving before breakfast hours (just inform the day before). I also managed to keep luggage after checkout at the common area (no lock and key) and retrieve it later.

CCoey NiewFour of us stayed for one night in two rooms at Alpenblick Superior during our trip to Switzerland. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Our room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and it was very clean and peaceful, as it's not located near the main street. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
