Hotel 5 stelle a Xiamen

My stay at Lohkah Isle was magical. From the moment I booked, the team made me feel genuinely cared for. No detail was too big, no gesture was too small. Every request was attended to with such warmth, kindness, and incredible promptness. A special thank you to Isak, Leo, Yuki, and Harlan. You are the heart and soul of this beautiful hotel. Isak welcomed us personally at the pier when we arrived at Gulangyu, and to my surprise, he was also the one who escorted us all the way back to Xiamen at the end of our stay — taking the ferry with us and helping us with all our luggage. He prepared mosquito repellent and medicine before our tour, wet wipes before we depart, always on hand with umbrella for us to beat the heat. That level of care is rare and deeply touching. All the butlers were very sincere and passionate. We have no words. We feel truly blessed to meet all of them. The property itself was immaculate — serene, elegant, and as uniquely charming as a Lohkah hotel can be. Lohkah remains my favourite hotel brand in China, not because of the architecture alone, but because of the people who bring these beautiful spaces to life. I will never forget the sweetness of this team: preparing a lovely tiramisu cake for my birthday, picking us up from a tea store when we got lost on the island, and accompanying us to the most beautiful sunset spots in Gulangyu. They made us feel less like guests and more like dear friends visiting from afar. Isak, Yuki, Leo, and Harlan — thank you for making our stay so remarkable, lovely, and unforgettable. Thank you for crafting memories that we will cherish for years to come. I wish all of you the very best. Please keep doing what you do so beautifully. I already mentioned my concerns in my previous review, so I hope management will take them into consideration. This time I’ll give 5 stars, as I generally enjoyed my stay. Hopefully, some improvements will be made before my next visit. 😊

L'autista è stato gentile e cordiale. Servizio: La camera assegnatami era molto confortevole e spaziosa. È stato fantastico avere un ferro da stiro a disposizione per stirare i vestiti durante le vacanze!

It was an overall good experience. The hotel is an icon ”the Twin Towers” and is conveniently located in Siming, a stone's throw away from Shapowei, a cozy neighborhood filled with nice little shops and plenty of good coffee vendors. Although the hotel is a bit dated but the room still has its grandeur and spaciousness. The check-in counters are on 38/F and the staff are nice and courteous. Our check-in staff, Dora is definitely an exemplary of the high quality service I'd expect of a 5 star hotel. She was extremely professional and follows through with us to make sure we had a nice stay. She definitely made our stay very warm and memorable. We had a dinner at their ”Michelin” Western restaurant Coast, but the experience was not good. There were 3 tables at best, but the staff if any, were too busy looking at their phones. We had to wave many times for them to notice us. We ordered the fish, steak, and another seafood dish. The steak was overcooked and chewy, not what I'd expect from a ”Michelin” restaurant. The fish was barely luke-warm, and the other seafood dish was bland and uneventful. With the high price tag for the dishes, I would not say it's worth it in terms of taste nor in service. The breakfast buffet however was good in terms of variety of selection, as well as in the quality of their waiters. There is also a Lawson convenient store on the G/F of the hotel, and a small shopping mall next door. Their indoor swimming pool is nice and the view is excellent. Just remember to bring your cap as all swimmers require a swimming cap! We had a lovely stay at Conrad Xiamen and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next stay.

I recently stayed at this modern hotel located in one of those sleek contemporary towers you see a lot in China lately. The ground-floor entrance lobby is beautiful — very elegant decoration and an absolutely amazing scent that greets you right away (I’d love to know what perfume they use, it’s addictive!). The reception is on the 5th floor, and it feels like the access is exclusive to hotel guests, which adds a nice sense of calm and privacy. The room was excellent: spacious, bright, beautifully designed with great taste, and extremely comfortable. The bed is one of the best I’ve slept in recently — super comfy pillows and a fantastic Nordic duvet. The shower is outstanding, with excellent water pressure and plenty of flow (they clearly put a lot of thought into the bathroom). It also has a Japanese-style toilet, which I really love for the comfort and features. Instead of a traditional wardrobe, there’s an open rack with hangers, but honestly it didn’t bother me at all and fits perfectly with the minimalist, modern vibe of the hotel. The location isn’t the most central or pedestrian-friendly (it’s more in an office area), and there aren’t many restaurants nearby at the same level as the hotel. That said, there’s a Starbucks, a couple of nice coffee places, and a lake close by that makes the surroundings quite pleasant. I wasn’t looking for a super central spot anyway, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Overall: a very positive experience. I felt really comfortable, everything was clean and well thought out, and I would definitely stay again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a modern, stylish hotel with attention to detail that makes a real difference. 100% worth it!

Si tratta dell'hotel a cinque stelle più conveniente dell'isola di Xiamen. L'edificio è piuttosto vecchio ed è comprensibile che l'arredamento e le strutture siano un po' insoddisfacenti. Dopo aver fatto vari confronti online, sono venuto qui principalmente per la pulizia e il buon servizio. Non sono rimasto deluso. Ho soggiornato qui per tre giorni e non posso davvero lamentarmi. L'hotel è situato in città, è molto comodo prendere un taxi per arrivarci, costa solo dieci o venti yuan. Il manager, Xiao Liu, è gentile e attento. Se avrò la possibilità la prossima volta, sceglierò di rimanere a Jingmin.

This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy. The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning. The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere. I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance. This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

Non ho mai avuto un'idea di cosa aspettarmi, ma mi ha davvero impressionato! Ho prenotato due camere da letto familiari, in attesa di alloggi spaziosi con un soggiorno e servizi a bambina comodità come un mini-slide, come mostrato nelle foto promozionali. Tuttavia, all’arrivo mi è stata data una stanza molto più piccola che non corrispondeva a quello che avevo prenotato. Ho sollevato questa preoccupazione al dipartimento frontale, dove ho passato un po' di tempo, e il personale ha insistito che la stanza che abbiamo ricevuto era lo stesso tipo di stanza che avevamo prenotato, ma ho sentito che erano disponibili solo quattro suite di questo tipo e che erano già occupate. Si sentiva come se l'hotel ci avesse prenotato e ci avesse assegnato una stanza comparabile ma inferiore. Considerato che abbiamo pagato migliaia di dollari per alloggi idonei per i nostri due toddler, è stato deludente. Lovely hotel Le Meridien Xiamen is set in a serene forest environment, perfect for a quiet retreat. The ground floor rooms are ideal for easy accessibility. Our room w/3 guest beds, a balcony facing and provide a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. We particularly enjoy daily delicious buffet breakfast and dinner, with a variety of options to cater to all taste buds. Centrally located for visits to Gulangyu Island (leave before 5 PM to avoid peak rush) and Riyuegu Hotsprings (all-day retreat till 10 PM). Taxis are affordable but ensure they run on the meter. Cash payment is accepted, but drivers may not have change as most use contactless payments like Alipay, which can auto-translate to English and other languages. The hotel's tranquil environment and delectable dining options make it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway for a mother + 2 daughters…
