Hotel con spa a Xiamen

My stay at Lohkah Isle was magical. From the moment I booked, the team made me feel genuinely cared for. No detail was too big, no gesture was too small. Every request was attended to with such warmth, kindness, and incredible promptness. A special thank you to Isak, Leo, Yuki, and Harlan. You are the heart and soul of this beautiful hotel. Isak welcomed us personally at the pier when we arrived at Gulangyu, and to my surprise, he was also the one who escorted us all the way back to Xiamen at the end of our stay — taking the ferry with us and helping us with all our luggage. He prepared mosquito repellent and medicine before our tour, wet wipes before we depart, always on hand with umbrella for us to beat the heat. That level of care is rare and deeply touching. All the butlers were very sincere and passionate. We have no words. We feel truly blessed to meet all of them. The property itself was immaculate — serene, elegant, and as uniquely charming as a Lohkah hotel can be. Lohkah remains my favourite hotel brand in China, not because of the architecture alone, but because of the people who bring these beautiful spaces to life. I will never forget the sweetness of this team: preparing a lovely tiramisu cake for my birthday, picking us up from a tea store when we got lost on the island, and accompanying us to the most beautiful sunset spots in Gulangyu. They made us feel less like guests and more like dear friends visiting from afar. Isak, Yuki, Leo, and Harlan — thank you for making our stay so remarkable, lovely, and unforgettable. I already mentioned my concerns in my previous review, so I hope management will take them into consideration. This time I’ll give 5 stars, as I generally enjoyed my stay. Hopefully, some improvements will be made before my next visit. 😊

La mia camera era bella, confortevole e aveva una bella vista. Il personale era per lo più gentile, ma l'addetto al check-in non è stato molto accogliente. Il corridoio di sera è pieno di fumo di sigaretta e per questo motivo c'era persino nebbia. Forse dovrebbero creare piani diversi per i non fumatori. C'era musica ad alto volume la sera, forse perché il mio piano era basso. Ma di solito è un posto tranquillo.

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Dopo aver fatto vari confronti online, sono venuto qui principalmente per la pulizia e il buon servizio. Non sono rimasto deluso. Ho soggiornato qui per tre giorni e non posso davvero lamentarmi. L'hotel è situato in città, è molto comodo prendere un taxi per arrivarci, costa solo dieci o venti yuan. Il manager, Xiao Liu, è gentile e attento. Se avrò la possibilità la prossima volta, sceglierò di rimanere a Jingmin.

Ma questa volta è decisamente l'ultima! Il servizio è pessimo, pessimo, pessimo, pessimo! ! ! ! ! Non pensate che il prezzo sia basso e che buttiate via tutto il servizio, ok? Due casi: 1. Ristorante: Le cose buone nella categoria colazione sono molto nella media, ma quanto può essere scandalosa la cameriera? Le ho chiesto se c'erano stoviglie per bambini? Mi ha chiesto di rimando: Non le hai portate tu? Sono rimasto subito confuso. Se le hai, portale pure. Se non le hai, non preoccuparti. Cosa intendi con ”istruirmi”? Alla fine del pasto, sono andato a prendere lo yogurt con mio figlio. Ha dato per scontato che avremmo portato via lo yogurt! L'ho preso e sono tornato al mio tavolo, scoprendo che stava ritirando il nostro tavolo! Dopo averlo ricevuto, è rimasta lì a fissarci e ha detto che potevamo solo consumarlo sul posto e non portarlo via. Se state ritirando il mio tavolo, dove posso sedermi a bere lo yogurt? Alla fine, mi sono alzato, ho preso un paio di boccate e l'ho lanciato sul tavolo dove sarebbe andata a ritirarlo. 2. Piscina e centro termale: La reception sembrava che le dovessi qualcosa. La prima sera ho solo chiesto dove si trovassero la piscina e le terme, ma mi ha ignorato e mi ha detto che dovevo cambiarmi prima di entrare! Non ci sono andato il secondo giorno. Ci ho portato mio figlio la terza mattina. Quando ho fatto il check-in, sembrava ancora indifferente e ha detto che voleva verificare se fossi stato lì il giorno prima. Le ho detto che sarei rimasto per due notti. Ero venuto ieri e non potevo venire oggi? Ha detto che voleva solo verificare se fossi stato lì il giorno prima! È scandaloso!!! Non puoi andare a nuotare tutte le volte che vuoi quando sei in hotel? Chi se ne importa della sorgente termale rotta! Il bambino voleva solo giocare in piscina. Questa volta vale davvero la pena arrabbiarsi!

Wonderful stay at Shangri-la Xiamen, room is clean and the team is amazing from counter to room service. Special mention to Floor Manager Ryan, Kelvin, Harry, Yulia and the service staff taking care of 3 rooms at level 12. The photo taking makeovers by Sky, photographer and makeup artists make the experience comfortable and satisfying. My kids love the beach experience and the safety precaution asserted at all time. The attentiveness is outstanding. Amazing work.

Staying at the Kempinski Xiamen was excellent value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel kindly accommodated a late check-out request, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. I would especially like to commend Gary at the reception desk, who was outstanding: kind, efficient, and highly professional. That said, my check-in experience was somewhat inconsistent, as one staff member was overly rigid and conducted passport checks in a manner of an immigration officer, although I hold a valid residence permit. Following a brief clarification, communication became limited for the remainder of the process. Overall, however, the positive aspects of the stay far outweighed this minor issue.

The only disavantages could be the location (it's a little far from all fun places and the beach in front of the hotel does not look attractive for swimming, so it's only good if you have a sea view room) and the swimming pool is quite shallow (1.2m depth) e piccolo (è il modo in cui i bambini urlano, si sbattono e si avvicinano se siete un straniero e gridano HELO HELO CHE È CHE È abbastanza fastidioso). Un'altra piscina non è una piscina a tutti, perché è probabilmente 0.9m profondità e l'altra è chiusa e disponibile solo per coloro che prenotano la stanza con l'accesso diretto alla piscina. Se lo sapessimo prima, forse avremmo pensato di rimanere in un altro hotel. Comunque, apprezziamo l'ospitalità amichevole e un check-out tardivo. È stato un buon soggiorno in generale.
