Hotel 4 stelle a Città del Messico

Everything was fine though the shower was from iceberg cold to barely warm, no where near hot. A hot shower is one of the more important details for a hotel room, especutan executive hotel. I took a shower around 10 pm, and another at 4:45 am and both showers were at the same cool temperature despite the water temperature being at the hottest faucet setting. The bed was comfortable, the air temperature was exactly what we wanted, the little coffee packet was fine, the mini fridge was cold, the water pressure was good, the Internet was fast enough, and the TV screen was large(60”?). There were plenty of things that were good, but we really wanted and expected a hot shower, especially given the price of the room. (Room 105) We didn't have time to mention the water temperature as we were on a tight travel schedule. Nonetheless, a hot shower is an obvious expectation for an executive hotel or even lower end hotels and motels.

We really loved staying at Tonala. The hotel is located in Roma Norte, a trendy neighbourhood in Mexico city. We could walk to all the nice restaurants ans cafes for food and drinks. There’s a really popular cafe downstairs for pastries, breakfast and coffee. And there’s a famous seafood restaurant as well as a fancy Michellin reservations-only restaurant next to it, right across the street from the hotel. Walking to the historic centre, La Condesa and the museuems took us about 15 minutes or so. The room is spacious and came with a great shower with working hot water. The air-cons worked really well in both the living and bed rooms. The laundry room is free to use from evening onwards. And the rooftop pool was great for a quick dip. Overall clean not just in our room but the stairs, lobby and rooftop and lift. Definitely 5-star and I would gladly stay there again when I next visit Mexico city.

L'hotel è all'interno dell'aeroporto. Molto conveniente per la partenza mattina presto. Ma sembra mancare un segnale per localizzare facilmente l'hotel. Camere confortevoli e cuscini sono la parte migliore del mio soggiorno in questo hotel.

El personal es muy amable, las instalaciones muy buenas. Sin embargo, la habitación en la que estuve era muy pequeña. Si planeas estar trabajando en tu habitación no lo recomendaría. De ahí en fuera, la ubicación es excelente.

State eccezionali a ULIV Mexico City Il mio soggiorno a ULIV Mexico City non era niente di meno di un'ottima! Dalla mia arrivo, il personale andò di sopra e di là per farmi sentire benvenuto. Erano incredibilmente amichevoli, accessibili e sempre disposti ad aiutare con qualsiasi richiesta o domanda. Gli alloggi erano moderni, senza spot e concepito, offrendo tutto quello che mi serviva per un soggiorno confortevole e piacevole. La posizione era anche ideale, con facile accesso a alcune delle migliori attrazioni della città del Messico, posti da pranzo e paesaggi culturali. Ciò che si è rivelato veramente è stato il livello di cura personalizzata fornita dall'equipaggio. Che si tratti di un aiuto con raccomandazioni, di un'ottima informazione, o di un semplice sorriso, la loro ospitezza ha fatto la differenza. Non posso raccomandare abbastanza ULIV Mexico City. E' chiaro che essi attribuiscono priorità alle esperienze dei loro ospiti, e certamente tornerò alla mia prossima visita!

We loved staying here although we did have a few hiccups. We arrived before check-in but we could leave our luggage at the hotel which was a relief. Unfortunately we lost our luggage ticket while out, but the front desk employee Grecia made it seem as if it were a huge problem and that we would not be able to retrieve our luggage at all. She did not reassure us even after we expressed confusion and concern. However once we had already gotten very stressed about this, another employee simply asked for our identification and quickly resolved the problem (which was their standard protocol). The stress was avoidable. When we arrived to the room we had to call to request robes and slippers, and there was only one water bottle even though we were two guests. In the bathroom, there is only one hook for the towels, which was inconvenient. The shower also leaked water all over the bathroom which is an architectural problem and can’t really be helped but was annoying as the bathroom floor was wet. The lighting in the room was also very dim, but that might just be a personal preference. Multiple times when requesting towels or water from room service, we had to call several times to remind them of our needs (we even once went personally to remind them at the front desk after 3 times of calling). On our last day we were eager to enjoy one final breakfast, which is listed as being from 6am-11am. However the food was not set up until 6:20-30, so we had to rush to eat before checking out to make it in time for our flight. Also at breakfast there is no self service tea or water station, and although the staff are attentive, it’s too much for them to be able to meet everyone’s needs at rush hour breakfast. However despite all of this we are left with a great memory of staying here. The food at breakfast was delicious, and most of the staff were very kind despite the delays in service. The location is convenient and the room was comfortable. I do not regret staying here although for ~300 USD a night I might expect a little bit more attention to detail.

I checked in 2-3 days late due to emergency and they said all 4 nights bookings were cancelled, even I still have two more nights to stay. They refused to refund as well, so I just paid for an half day stay cause I was supposed to have a flight at night and they charged almost full, receptionist was never kind to tell me that difference is just little for an overnight stay. So decided to stay overnight cause I re-scheduled my flight the next day, cause I had a meeting and I won’t catch my flight, then when I returned back to the hotel, bought a water they asked for the room number and new receptionist told me that I should have checked out cause there’s a note that I can only stay until 6 or 7PM, I checked in at 2PM, lol. Paid almost 70USD for that, then I told them to extend until next day at 2:00PM, then they charged me for another almost 80USD. No consideration at all, will definitely ask the booking app to ask for the 4 nights stay refund that was unused that they refused to refund, they said it’s no show already even I showed up on the 3rd day. Lol. Kinda scam tactic. And I hate it. I just let it go.

Overall the hotel was good. The room was clean and organized, neat, no issues. Shower was nice and hot, comfy bed and a safe, all good. No minibar or fridge however, which is maybe a bit underwhelming for a 4 star hotel but it was fine for me. Location was good, reasonably close to the city centre and with several public transport options nearby. (Though I found the public transport quite confusing in Mexico City) My only issue was that I originally booked through another agent and when I arrived the hotel informed me that the booking had been cancelled on the same day I booked it, and they wouldn't offer me the room or price match to the original booking, so booking the second time was about 8 euro more expensive, not a lot, but irritating. However I contacted my other agency and the informed me that it was due to a failure for the confirmation going through on their end, so not the hotel's fault.

La stanza era molto spaziosa e la posizione è conveniente. La colazione era buona, con una varietà e qualità decente. Tuttavia, le strutture in camera sono molto antiquate sia la microonde che il asciugacapelli non funzionavano durante il mio soggiorno. Il più grande svantaggio è stato il fatto che la connessione a Internet è estremamente scarsa, rendendo difficile mantenere la connessione, e che, in generale, è stata condivisa con alcune esperienze positive, ma anche in settori che richiedono miglioramenti.
