⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) is more than just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. La posizione è buona. All'esterno della finestra è il mare. Nella parte centrale della strada dell'isola di circolare, l'uscita è alla strada dell'isola di circolare, e la strada di guida di un auto elettrico è lunga. Ogni attrazione può essere raggiunta. L'ambiente è molto pulito e il servizio è anche buono. Grazie per il servizio attento del vostro hotel e l'esperienza di soggiorno è molto soddisfacente. La stanza è pulita e confortevole, le strutture sono completamente comode, il personale è entusiasta e professionale, aspettando la prossima volta!

A Xiamen, il nostro hotel è stato molto accogliente, molto utile e accogliente. Ci hanno controllati rapidamente, anche un po' prima del tempo ufficiale, e ci hanno fornito acqua e un posto per sedersi mentre ci siamo sistemati. Vedendo che viaggiavamo con un sacco di bagagli (come i miei genitori avevano volato in Sudafrica e questo non era il loro destino finale), ci hanno offerto un aggiornamento per solo 100 yuan in una stanza più spaziosa. Questo era un suggerimento così pensativo e rendeva il nostro soggiorno molto più confortevole, perché la stanza originale sarebbe stata molto stretta con tutti i bagagli. Per tutta la nostra permanenza, il personale si è alzato e si è allontanato, inviandoci raccomandazioni per cibo e attività tramite WeChat, che ci ha aiutato in particolare come visitatori che navigano in cinese, e ha reso più facile esplorare la città. La stanza stessa era eccellente, pulita, moderna e elegantemente progettata. Il layout del tetto era un divertente toccamento, con i miei genitori giù e me in alto. Tutto si sentiva nuovo e ben mantenuto, dalla vasca alla mobili e alle finiture. In realtà, sembrava ancora meglio nella vita reale che nelle foto, che è raro per molti hotel. Il tetto era un altro punto di vista, offrendo una bella vista e un grande luogo per gustare il pranzo. In generale, l'hotel aveva un'atmosfera fresca e accogliente che rendeva il nostro soggiorno molto piacevole. L'unico piccolo lato inferiore era l'altezza del tetto, ma ho colpito la testa qualche volta nonostante i segni “mente la testa”. Anche se questo si prevede con camere di stile alto (e sono sul lato superiore), il segnale avrebbe potuto essere messo in un po' meglio. Ciò detto, non si è ritirato da quanto piacevole fosse il soggiorno. In breve, questo hotel ha superato le nostre aspettative in ogni modo: fantastico servizio, camere moderne e pulite, tocchi pensieri e una posizione ideale.

Tutto è stato organizzato bene e tutte le richieste e le domande sono state prese in considerazione in modo efficiente.Grazie speciali al personale di servizio di front office che è stato così utile , specialmente Xiao Li che ha dato molte suggerimenti su dove visitare e mangiare !😀😀 . Ci siamo davvero goditi a Xiamen durante il nostro soggiorno di 5 giorni!

I enjoyed my stay overall. While the hotel isn’t perfect, it offers great value if you’re looking for a relaxed beach holiday away from the busy tourist areas. Location The hotel is in a peaceful area close to Huangcuo Beach and Xitouxia, with plenty of small local seafood restaurants and traditional Chinese eateries nearby. If you’re not into seafood, there are still a few other dining options within walking distance. It’s about a 30-minute walk to popular cafés like Oncebook Coffee and Snow Peak Café. Further along the beach you’ll also find beach bars such as Breeze Bar and Amoy Beach Bar, where you can enjoy drinks overlooking the ocean. Most of Xiamen’s major attractions, including Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, Gulangyu Ferry Terminal, and MIXC, are around a 20–30 minute taxi ride away, making them easy to reach. Facilities The highlight of the hotel is definitely the swimming pool. It’s clean, relaxing, and has two sun loungers, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or have its own restaurant, but there are several places nearby where you can eat. Room The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide beautiful ocean views. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, with soft memory foam pillows, and the air conditioning works very well—something you’ll definitely appreciate during Xiamen’s summer. The bathroom is modern, with a large rainfall shower that has excellent water pressure. There are a few downsides, however. The room could be cleaner, and the hotel provides disposable towels instead of regular bath towels, which wasn’t my favourite. There’s also no minibar or mini fridge, which would have been a welcome addition. Service The reception staff deserve special mention. The gentleman who checked me in was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. His hospitality left a very positive impression. Final thoughts If you’re looking for a quiet beachside stay with comfortable rooms, beautiful ocean views, and don’t mind taking a taxi to Xiamen’s main attractions, this hotel is a solid choice. Just don’t expect luxury facilities or a full-service resort experience.

My best stay in Xiamen, by far. It is essentially a, what the Japanese would say, love hotel, but it is very much true to its name and the function of the business hotel is also proper and works great. The location is great, its in Jimei, but many buses and metro line runs here too. Again, with a bit of effort, can get anywhere in time. Very peaceful surroundings, interior is freshly renovated, both the lobby and the hotel rooms themselves. Toiletries, 2 small milks, water, breakfast, all very humble and very thoughtful, much bigger and more expensive hotels don't put this level of effort into your stay! These people care! However, the kindness of one person in particular, handling the checkins and checkouts at the reception, stands out. I'm not sure what her name is and I have no idea other that she worked the day shift on both days of my stay, but the receptionist girl deserves a promotion like no other! When I first arrived she not only handled the checkin process exceptionally, but personally helped me find the room, sign my devices to wifi, teach me about the thermostat functions, etc, and when I signed off and checked out, upon realizing I had left an expensive phone charger in my room, she expressly communicated with the staff and the charger was downstairs within barely minutes! All of this, with a genuine beautiful smile and care for the customer's experience! The look of the rooms is definitely a bit unique, and might not be to everyone's tastes, sure, but the staff is one of a kind and will be golden to you for the duration of the stay and beyond. Definitely booking it next year again, hopefully for many nights!

First of all this is NOT a HOLIDAY INN, indeed the hotel's name is SEP HOLIDAY. However on DIDI and Trip.Com it is listed as HOLIDAY INN. The real HOLIDAY INN is located about 200metres away. So please do not book this hotel if you are looking for a real holiday inn (IHG hotel). Having said that, this hotel does not need to call itself a HOLIDAY INN for you to consider it. We stayed here for seven(7) nights and will stay here again as it is very convenient, clean, provides a decent buffet local breakfast and is in a good location near bus station (50metres away), Metro Line 2 (Cruise Centre station) is across the road 300M away (there is a proper overhead walkway to cross the road, no escalators though) and you can walk to the gulanyu ferry terminal and sea world. It is also on the same side of the road as the start of the Mountain to the Sea Walking trail which is about 500metres away. Short, since the trail itself is 23km. The rooms are decent size (We got a corner unit room 8403 on the 4th floor), attached bathroom with all the amenities for 2 persons with hot shower and cold air conditioning with free cable tv and wifi and lots of power points. It doesnt have a fridge but none was needed. No swimming pool and really a too tiny gym with just a bit of free weights here and there. So don't bother packing your gym or swimming stuff. But if you are looking for a value for money decent and clean place to sleep and to have a cooked breakfast before going out out and about xiamen city for sightseeing, then this hotel is highly recommended. Just forget about the HOLIDAY INN part!

The hotel was located at the center of zhongsan road and 8th street. Convenient for shopping and dining. Disappointedly the room was filled with cigarettes smell which I hated very much 😭

L'hotel ha un'ottima posizione e il trasporto è molto conveniente. La strada pedonale Zhongshan Road è proprio davanti alla porta. È molto comodo uscire a fare una passeggiata la sera, godersi il fresco, fare shopping e mangiare. Il servizio della reception dell'hotel è buono, ma il servizio dell'addetto alle camere non è abbastanza buono. Gli asciugamani non vengono cambiati ogni giorno e il lavandino non viene pulito. Spero che l'hotel possa rafforzare la gestione del servizio degli addetti alle pulizie e non trascurare i dettagli.
