Hotel Grand Mercure a Shanghai

I have had the chance to stay here numerous times over the past few months. Great location as it is within walking distance (if you know exactly where to go) of many restaurants and shops. Only problem I have really found in my stays is that some of the service staff are quite surly to foreigners. Even without any verbal interaction, I have observed interactions between foreigners and some staff that would be deemed rather rude and unacceptable. Not sure what the issue is, but it seems to be a select few workers that have a real problem with their interactions. Quite concerning.

- Stayed for 5 nights - 1st room assigned to me, there were slight aircon noise. Asked for a change of room, accede to my request immediately - Suggest to change shower curtain, getting old and slightly stained - King Size bed is comfy - Flight was delayed, asked for late check out, request was accede. Overall, will rate 4/5 based on Price, Cleaniness, Service and Location. Will consider coming back to the hotel if going back to Shanghai
