We had an incredible stay at Zen Ju Qing Cheng Mountain — one of those rare places that feels less like a guesthouse and more like stepping into someone’s way of life. What truly made the stay unforgettable, were the owners, Colin and Xiaoxiao (Show). They are genuinely, unbelievably kind — the kind of hospitality that goes far beyond service. From the moment we arrived (after the small work-out of walking up an intense hill), we were welcomed like long-lost family. Other guests — many of them regulars — immediately included us and urged us to try local delicacies they brought, which says a lot about the atmosphere Colin and Show have created. There are so many small moments that stand out: being greeted with coffee in the morning (they take coffee very seriously, in the best way), tea in the afternoon (which they take just as seriously, it turns out!), and the constant sense that nothing is too much trouble. Whether it’s helping with transport, sharing local tips, or just making sure you’re comfortable, everything is done with warmth and sincerity. The setting is beautiful and serene, tucked into the mountain with a stunning courtyard full of flowers and greenery. You can tell Colin, one of the owners, has a real gift for it — everything feels alive and thoughtfully cared for. He even treks into the mountains to pick wild tea, which gives you a sense of how deeply connected the place is to its surroundings. That attention to detail carries through everywhere: fresh flowers in the rooms, calm design, and incredibly comfortable bedding. It’s one of those places where you start to wonder what a slower, more intentional way of living might feel like. Even just for a few days, you get a glimpse of that. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat with real soul — not just a place to stay, but an experience shaped by genuinely exceptional people — this is it.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The homestay had such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. There's a lift that takes you up to Level 2 where the homestay is located. While there isn't a lift within the homestay itself, it wasn't an issue at all because the owner was incredibly kind and even insisted on carrying our luggage all the way up to our room on the third floor. We truly appreciated such a thoughtful gesture! The hospitality and service were exceptional throughout our stay. For my Muslim friends, there's a delicious halal food stall located just outside the homestay. It was so good that we went back to buy takeaway for dinner later that night! The location is also convenient, with many tourist attractions nearby. We found taking a DiDi to be the easiest and most comfortable way to get around. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and couldn't have asked for a better host. Thank you for making our trip such a memorable one, we would definitely stay here again!

We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

It truly felt like being back home. The host was very friendly and welcoming, making guests feel comfortable from the moment of arrival. A simple yet satisfying breakfast was provided, including porridge, soy milk, pau, corn, potatoes, and other vegetable dishes. The heating was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly through the night. The place looked exactly like the photos, and soaking my feet before bed made the stay even more relaxing.

All'interno della stanza della reception ho prenotato le camere da letto a due posti di lavoro di montagna in anticipo. Ero riempito di aspettative. La prima impressione dopo essere arrivata al negozio è davvero fantastica e molto integrata nella natura, e mi sono sentito particolarmente comodo. I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Central International Hotel in Dujiangyan, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in China. First, the location and views are simply mesmerizing. My room overlooked the river and the surrounding mountains, and waking up to that scenery every morning felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. The flowing river below and the misty peaks in the distance created a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the view from the window was nothing short of spectacular – highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and photography. Cleanliness – absolutely flawless: The entire hotel, from the lobby to the corridors to the rooms, was spotless. Everything smelled fresh and looked well-maintained. I'm quite particular about hygiene, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The sheets were crisp, the bathroom was gleaming, and every surface was dust-free. It's clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. 👉 A very special thank you to the Housekeeping Supervisor, who ensured my room was always in perfect condition. Her attention to detail and warm professionalism did not go unnoticed – she truly made me feel cared for during my entire stay. 👉 The front desk team – absolute stars! I would especially like to thank Ms. Kiki and Ms. Vivian at the reception. From the moment I checked in, they were welcoming, efficient, and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to answer all my questions, recommend local attractions, and even helped me with transportation arrangements. Their English was excellent, and their genuine smiles made every interaction a pleasure. They are a real asset to this hotel. Mi piaceva il (studio cinese) colazione.Il personale era utile e mi hanno portato anche al fronte dell'ufficio dei biglietti di montagna.Il cibo di notte (carne e bamboo) non era male. Sono rimasto nella sala di vista del giardino, con due letti singoli. Il letto era comodo. Il tè nella stanza era davvero bel tè Maofeng. Il stile della stanza non mi ha urlato lusso (anche il tipo tranquillo). Per quanto riguarda la posizione, pensavo che sarebbe stato bello essere in un ambiente montagnoso, ma non si è dimostrato molto conveniente per le mie esigenze. Qualcuno dell'hotel mi ha lasciato molto gentile vicino all'ufficio dei biglietti. Un po' lontano: dopo aver visitato la montagna ho deciso di fare un viaggio spontaneo a Nanqiao (il ponte meridionale) a Dujiangyan (non l'avevo visto la notte in un viaggio precedente). Non è stato così difficile trovare un taxi indietro, ma ricordare un piccolo surplus di 3.9% per prendere la montagna). Domenica ho lasciato l'hotel troppo tardi, perché era già molto occupato sulla strada verso il biglietto di montagna indietro il conducente del taxi non voleva portarmi lì (perché sarebbe stato bloccato in traffico per ore o nessuna compensazione per tutto questo spreco di tempo) ma mi offrì di portarmi alla stazione ferroviaria ad alta velocità da cui potevo prendere un autobus (passare l'hotel!). Ovviamente anche l'autobus finiva in un trappolo di traffico, ma comunque l'ho fatto lì alla fine. Fortunatamente ho preso il mio bagaglio e l'ho lasciato in un negozio vicino all'ufficio di biglietto per passeggeri per 5 yuan. Purtroppo, la primavera calda dell'acqua è aperta solo in inverno. Tuttavia hanno una bella piscina. Mi è piaciuta la mia permanenza, ma non l'ho trovato molto lussuoso, anche se è raro avere un hotel con una piscina in Cina, quindi è stato bello. A circa 50 euro per notte era buono per i soldi.

L'esperienza in hotel che ho avuto questa volta è stata fantastica! Appena entrato nella hall, ho potuto percepire l'entusiasmo del personale. Il check-in è stato veloce e premuroso e mi hanno anche aiutato a scegliere la tipologia di camera più adatta. La camera era pulita e ordinata, l'arredamento era semplice ed elegante, i servizi erano completi, la biancheria da letto era morbida e confortevole e ho dormito bene. La colazione era ricca e varia, sia cinese che occidentale, e i sapori erano buoni. Anche la posizione è molto comoda, ed è comodo per mangiare e fare shopping. La prossima volta sceglierò questo hotel!
