Sitting quietly in one of the many beautiful tea houses scattered throughout the courtyard or nestled against the mountain backdrop, you can’t help but feel a deep sense of calm as nature engages all your senses. It’s truly therapeutic for the soul. For those seeking a more hands-on experience, the guesthouse offers a variety of activities that are sure to delight, especially families with children. Whether it’s fishing in a tranquil stream or exploring the forest at night in search of glowworms, there’s something special for everyone. Normally, I tend to avoid hotels popular with families. But here, in this zen-like setting, the sound of children laughing and playing only adds to the charm rather than detracting from the serenity. Every corner of this retreat is a photo opportunity, and every meal is a sumptuous feast. The ancient gate transports you to another world, and the evening white mist enhances the sense of wonder. The house-made osmanthus baijiu, reserved exclusively for guests, is a refined treat that speaks to the thoughtful touches that elevate the experience. The level of care and attention to details here far exceeds the cost, leaving you feeling truly pampered by the generosity of this guesthouse and its staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel like an honored guest. I was particularly impressed by the staff and their evident training. They were polite, enthusiastic, and fully invested in ensuring that guests had a great stay. In similar boutique hotels, you might expect to see more of the owner’s presence. But at Shouzhou, the front-of-house staff take full ownership of running the property, with a level of professionalism that is both refreshing and commendable. Our journey from Qingchengshan to Qionglai and onward to Emeishan was long, but entirely worth it. We are especially grateful to the young front-of-house male staff and his colleague, who graciously offered to drive us nearly 30 minutes to a location where we could catch a Didi to Emeishan. This kind gesture was the embodiment of hospitality at its finest. I hope more people discover this hidden gem and have the chance to experience its uplifting atmosphere for themselves.

When you yearn for a different lifestyle but not ready to commit yourself to changes? For me, traveling is a way to get a sneak peek into “what would it be”, even if just for a moment. I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across Several Mountain Houses, and I’m grateful for the owners’ generosity in creating such a beautiful place and sharing their mountain life with guests.   Many guests have already praised the lovely courtyard, the nature-surrounded rooms, the sensorial bed linens, and the warm, earthy aesthetic of the space. I wholeheartedly agree. Beyond that, there was something even more special. I was wowed by the tidy kitchen, thoughtfully designed and completed with high-quality appliances and tableware. It’s a place that move your mind from “I’m staying in a B&B” to “I’m staying in a home.” The cherry on top? Having the owner made you a perfect cup of latte or cappuccino in the morning. Of all my travels in China, this is the first homestay where I’ve experienced that personal touch.   We arrived by Didi and had to drop off by the roadside, cross a wooden bridge, and then tackle a steep hill path.  We called for help and the owner came down to meet us and made sure we felt welcomed. My friend told me she felt like we had stepped into a scene from a web novel—the little challenge at the start, the homey atmosphere, the owners and their charming “career life to mountain life” story all made the experience very special.   I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful mountain retreat. It's the perfect spot to unwind and reset.    A small tip: if you're in the mood for trekking, head up to the Wulong Gorge scenic area and work your way back. If we had known, we would totally skip Baiyun (White Cloud) temple / village and spend more time relaxing at the house.

Mi piaceva il (studio cinese) colazione.Il personale era utile e mi hanno portato anche al fronte dell'ufficio dei biglietti di montagna.Il cibo di notte (carne e bamboo) non era male. Sono rimasto nella sala di vista del giardino, con due letti singoli. Il letto era comodo. Il tè nella stanza era davvero bel tè Maofeng. Il stile della stanza non mi ha urlato lusso (anche il tipo tranquillo). Per quanto riguarda la posizione, pensavo che sarebbe stato bello essere in un ambiente montagnoso, ma non si è dimostrato molto conveniente per le mie esigenze. Qualcuno dell'hotel mi ha lasciato molto gentile vicino all'ufficio dei biglietti. Un po' lontano: dopo aver visitato la montagna ho deciso di fare un viaggio spontaneo a Nanqiao (il ponte meridionale) a Dujiangyan (non l'avevo visto la notte in un viaggio precedente). Non è stato così difficile trovare un taxi indietro, ma ricordare un piccolo surplus di 3.9% per prendere la montagna). Domenica ho lasciato l'hotel troppo tardi, perché era già molto occupato sulla strada verso il biglietto di montagna indietro il conducente del taxi non voleva portarmi lì (perché sarebbe stato bloccato in traffico per ore o nessuna compensazione per tutto questo spreco di tempo) ma mi offrì di portarmi alla stazione ferroviaria ad alta velocità da cui potevo prendere un autobus (passare l'hotel!). Ovviamente anche l'autobus finiva in un trappolo di traffico, ma comunque l'ho fatto lì alla fine. Fortunatamente ho preso il mio bagaglio e l'ho lasciato in un negozio vicino all'ufficio di biglietto per passeggeri per 5 yuan. Purtroppo, la primavera calda dell'acqua è aperta solo in inverno. Tuttavia hanno una bella piscina. Mi è piaciuta la mia permanenza, ma non l'ho trovato molto lussuoso, anche se è raro avere un hotel con una piscina in Cina, quindi è stato bello. A circa 50 euro per notte era buono per i soldi.

La prenotazione di una notte in questo fantastico alloggio è molto dispiaciuta. Gli ospiti, tranne i vicini, hanno deciso di parlare delle loro storie di vita sul balcone esterno fino a che non si possano considerare le ore di giornata. I ricevitori e i dipendenti sono molto amichevoli e utili durante il mio soggiorno rendendo questo estremamente memorabile.

We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

It truly felt like being back home. The host was very friendly and welcoming, making guests feel comfortable from the moment of arrival. A simple yet satisfying breakfast was provided, including porridge, soy milk, pau, corn, potatoes, and other vegetable dishes. The heating was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly through the night. The place looked exactly like the photos, and soaking my feet before bed made the stay even more relaxing.

All'interno della stanza della reception ho prenotato le camere da letto a due posti di lavoro di montagna in anticipo. Ero riempito di aspettative. La prima impressione dopo essere arrivata al negozio è davvero fantastica e molto integrata nella natura, e mi sono sentito particolarmente comodo. La zona della reception è spaziale, pulita e pulita, il servizio del personale della reception è molto entusiasta, aiutaci a prendere il bagaglio e fornire attentamente i beni necessari, particolarmente intimidi. Viaggiatore musulmano malese qui 🤗 Ho trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole al Dujiangyan Center Hotel per 3 giorni e 2 notti! L'hotel è pulito, la camera è spaziosa e molto confortevole. Sono stato fortunato ad avere una vista sul fiume: la vista era così rilassante, soprattutto di notte. Adoro l'atmosfera tranquilla. Per gli altri viaggiatori musulmani, niente stress per il cibo. Ci sono 2-3 ristoranti halal vicino all'hotel, tutti raggiungibili a piedi, quindi è stato molto comodo. La posizione è super strategica: • Meno di 10 minuti a piedi dall'antica città di Guanxian • Circa 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Lidui Park • Circa 5 minuti a piedi da Yangtianwo Square (il famoso panda dei selfie 🐼) È molto facile anche prendere un taxi o un didi da qui, quindi muoversi è senza problemi. Piccolo consiglio: assicuratevi che tutte le finestre siano ben chiuse di notte. In Cina, alcuni hotel lasciano le finestre leggermente aperte per far entrare l'aria fresca, e potremmo non accorgercene. Quindi, controllate bene prima di dormire 😊 Nel complesso, mi è piaciuto molto il mio soggiorno qui. Camera confortevole, bella vista sul fiume, ottima posizione, adatto ai musulmani: decisamente consigliato se visitate Dujiangyan!

L'esperienza in hotel che ho avuto questa volta è stata fantastica! Appena entrato nella hall, ho potuto percepire l'entusiasmo del personale. Il check-in è stato veloce e premuroso e mi hanno anche aiutato a scegliere la tipologia di camera più adatta. La camera era pulita e ordinata, l'arredamento era semplice ed elegante, i servizi erano completi, la biancheria da letto era morbida e confortevole e ho dormito bene. La colazione era ricca e varia, sia cinese che occidentale, e i sapori erano buoni. Anche la posizione è molto comoda, ed è comodo per mangiare e fare shopping. La prossima volta sceglierò questo hotel!
