Hotel in zona Center Artisannal Medina, Marrakesh

I stayed at Amour D'Auberge over the new year - I was looking for a hostel that was relatively quiet and laid back, in a good location. Hiba, Nadia, Faisal and Jamil run the hostel together and every interaction I had with each of them was very positive! They were super friendly and helpful. I shared an 8-bed female room and had no problems with it - the beds are comfortable and warm, and you get a key-locked cupboard to store your valuables. The hostel is in a fantastic central location, just five minutes walk to the big square! Even though the hostel itself was pretty quiet there is a jazz bar next door, which did mean that sometimes it was loud late at night - but I just used ear plugs and it didnt disturb me too much. Also, while I was staying they were having some building work done which was noisy during the day, however I was out and about most of the time so it didn't cause me any problems. Overall I would recommend Amour D'Auberge and would stay here again in future :-)

Riad meraviglioso pulito e curatissimo. Ottima posizione, 10 minuti a piedi da Jemaa El Fna( la piazza principale). La camera era dotata di tutte le comodità: aria condizionata, accappatoio, asciugamani, bollitore, asciugacapelli, bagnoschiuma e shampoo. Lo staff è di una gentilezza incredibile, pronto a risolvere qualsiasi problema! Soggiorno da 10 e lode, mi sono sentita in famiglia e sicuramente tornerò la prossima volta che verrò a Marrakech.

La hall dell'hotel è magnifica, la camera è molto spaziosa, la piscina è molto pulita e anche il buffet è molto bello.Con tali condizioni di alloggio, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è molto alto.La stanza è praticamente in palio , e la stanza ha un balcone. La stanza del fine settimana è molto stretta. Se hai bisogno di prenotare, dovresti prenotare un po 'prima.

We're part of a tour group and got the worst rooms I suppose. A few of us got rooms with poor or faulty air-conditioning. Made complaints . 1 room checked out as hotel refuses an upgrade even tho the guest wanted v to pay for it. My room after an hour of ,v they brought in a fan which made it even hotter. Finally someone came in to check and confirmed the air con was faulty. So we moved to another room with no offer of help to assist with our luggages. Then the new room mini bar was out of order! By v then we were too tired to bother. When we asked for ice, it came quick which was appreciated. We asked for extra water and housekeeping sent it asap. 2 other rooms also had to change due to aircom. Also the beds were so thin I could feel the spring while sleeping. Was not a comfy sleep. Hotels needs to refurb.

Tutto era semplicemente di prim'ordine, colazione a buffet, cena a buffet, piscina riscaldata e palestra, un soggiorno fantastico, non posso chiedere di più. In realtà stiamo programmando di tornare la prossima settimana. Abbiamo lasciato il caricabatterie del telefono, quindi spero che leggano questo commento e lo conservino fino al nostro arrivo.

Hotel centrale, a 10 minuti di auto dall’aeroporto e a 15 minuti a piedi dalla Medina. L’hotel è letteralmente attaccato al Menara Mall ed è presente un’entrata apposita – controllata – al centro commerciale, molto comodo in quanto è presente il Carrefour per comprare l’acqua in bottiglia. Conviene il tasso di cambio EUR/MAD offerto dall’hotel rispetto a quello in aeroporto, anche se si tratta di minime differenze. Camera e bagno molto spaziosi, moderni, puliti. Bagno dotato di una doccia molto grande con diversi tipi di soffioni. Pulizia discreta e camera sempre fatta, anche più volte al giorno (non abbiamo riscontrato le criticità presenti in altre recensioni). Frigo bar vuoto, classiche dotazioni di cortesia (cialde Nespresso, the, 2 bottiglie acqua, asciugamani bagno, saponi, ciabatte, asciugamani piscina). Veramente ottima la colazione sia per qualità che per scelta dove sono serviti sia piatti tipici marocchini che di tipo internazionale. Molto buoni anche gli snack del bar. Molto belle anche e tenute bene/pulite le piscine esterne (a dicembre difficile fare il bagno, anche se qualche coraggioso lo ha fatto), la palestra e la spa. Sdraio e lettini comodi. Carina anche la piscina coperta, unico suggerimento è di alzare la temperatura dell’acqua – viene dichiarata a 29°, ma sono inferiori (nota: la piscina interna non è piastrellata, ma rivestita da telo pvc).

What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant.  I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. There is nothing in this historic building that is outdated, or in need of renovation. The most important

Firstly, great clean hotel. Especially entertainment manager Faza. Plus all staff, top notch! For example, we had the suite and found it had a faulty tap/washbasin. The maintenance repaired it within 10 minutes of reporting. Pool size ( adults) is big with lots of space (although we visited mid-Septmber). The pool bar drinks had a variety but they did keep running out of drinks in which could mean a 10 minute wait. Beer was ( in some cases) warm so ask for a bit of ice!). Don't use the bar inside - you pay for that even if you are half or full board. The food was a good variety (breakfast, lunch and main meal). It's not labeled but just ask - the staff are great. Trips into town are about 20 minutes and taxi fare (return) is about 200 dirams. Loads of places in town so plan in advance. HIsham ( customer relations) is great, so check with him. Rooms are cleaned daily, and are really clean. Housekeeping staff are really nice and helpful. Only one real gripe though. Checkout time is 12pm, and you can only have breakfast, NOT LUNCH. The All inclusive bands are taken at 12pm. You then pay extra for lunch,drinks etc. You get to use the amenities,( toilet, water, gym,) but that's it. The hotel need to change that policy, as we can't fathom why they do this. Other then that, we can't fault the place, and the wonderful staff.
