Hotel in zona Nhà văn hóa thôn Lam Điền, Hanoi

It is probably one of the best Novotel I have stayed over the past years. Most notable are the people-- from the reception to restaurant , everyone are courteous and willing to help and sincere, and English are generally sufficient which is a great help. The TV channels are very complete from CNN, HBO, BBC, CNBC, BOX which are even better than some 5 star hotels. The breakfast collection are very wide, and fruits are yummy , which is a great way to start the day. During my visit , the restaurants in the hotel are not crowded at all, and so dining is very comfortable and allow ample distancing between tables. The dinner on roof top restaurant is great value for money --- VND 499 K for a quality BBQ buffet with proper beef and seafood. Rooms and bedding are very clean. Location is on busy street but quite a number of small restaurants and coffee shops within a few minutes walk. The only aspects for improvement-- due to language , it would be great to have a doorman at the main entrance to help with giving directions to taxi drivers to ensure no miscommunication; and the room lighting can be enhanced by placing a floor lamp next to the study table to facilitate reading ; and finally the hotel name sign on the street front is too small for drivers to spot the name .

Este hotel está muy cerca del barrio de las embajadas, mucho más tranquilo que el casco antiguo. Se ve bastante nuevo y por tanto reservamos directamente con el establecimiento a través de email (enero 2023) una suite especial del piso 9º (planta noble hasta donde llega el ascensor). Un dormitorio amplio con cama grande (bien de colchón y sábanas), armarios, perchas, ventanales a la ciudad, mesillas, a.a. y tv satélite. Al lado, una sala de estar amplia con muebles, un sofá no muy grande (en las fotos se veían 2 sofás), otro a.a. y otra tv también satélite, un espacio de cocina con frigorífico grande (agua de cortesía) y precio normales. Un buen baño, moderno, amplio, con encimera y amenities, muy buenas toallas y ducha grande con mampara, presión de agua normal y ventana exterior. Bien de limpieza (diaria) y buen wifi. Recepción y zonas comunes suficientes. (2 ascensores y piscina interior). Personal amable. Check-in a las 12 (igual que el check-out). Al principio querían darnos un ático del piso 11, pero nos negamos porque son más pequeños y el ascensor no llega a ese piso. La zona de desayunos es muy pequeña (solo 3 mesas) y tuvimos que desayunar en una de las mesas de recepción (mesas redondas muy pequeñas, pero al menos separados del resto por el tema COVID). Un bufet no muy variado (huevos/tortillas a petición) y no muy bien presentado, además de repetitivo (fruta escasa y solo pan de molde). Si algo se terminaba, había que pedirlo a la camarera, aunque no tardaba mucho en reponerlo. La calle Doi Can es algo estrecha y con tráfico intenso, llena de restaurantes y tiendas, pero el hotel se retranquea de forma que los únicos ruidos que llegan al piso 9º son los ladridos (conitnuos y muy molestos) de los perros de las cercanías. Por otro lado, en esa misma calle tiene parada el bus nº 9, que por 7.000 dongs (unos 30 céntimos de euro) te lleva directo al lago Hoan Kiem en pleno centro (y vuelve por el mismo camino) en unos 20 minutos. El hotel está a minuitos caminando del complejo del mausoleo de Ho Chi Minh, Pagoda del Pilar Único, Museo de Historia Militar, Ciudad Imperial, Palacio Presidencial y Templo de la Literatura. Transfer al aeropuerto por unos 12€. En resumen: un buen apartamento en una buena zona tranquila (mejor que en el caso antiguo), por un precio ajustado para la calidad ofertada (1.100.000 dongs por noche con desayuno, es decir, unos 43€), si bien los desayunos pueden mejorar bastante.

Thank you very much for taking care of me!!! Mr Anh at Fronk Desk was very polite and helpful finding my padlock which was lost at hotel lobby, after 10 minutes he got it back and send to my room. The hotel is clean, have nice breakfast and very close to the oldtown I will recommend to my friends and family, thank you and keep it up 👍

The staff are very nice, the room is clean and comfotable. I have great time in this hotel. Very convenient location in old quarter....budget friendly...receptionist ms.lieu and owner mr. Tung were allways there n very helpful....maids also very very accomodative....highly recommend this property....

Uno dei migliori hotel nella vecchia zona di Hanoi. L'hotel è di prima classe nella vecchia zona di Hanoi, e il suo servizio è grande! Il spa è fortemente raccomandato per alleviare la lunga stanchezza di volo. La piscina ha una vista perfetta al lago Hoà Kiếm, soprattutto di notte. La posizione dell'hotel è invincibile.Abbiamo avuto una splendida esperienza di soggiorno in questo hotel 5 stelle.

Hanoi is a great destination for anyone interested in far East. Its history, beautiful nature, and wonderful people offer travelers a wonderful experience. Our hotel made the experience far more enjoyable and memorable. La Siesta is in a great location to get a good sense of daily life in Hanoi. I suggest getting a room with balcony if you can. The breakfast is elaborate with many options to choose from and rooms are quite clean. There is also a good size heated pool though I would have liked it a bit warmer. But the best part of our stay at the hotel, was the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and greeted us with a smile every time. If we needed to find a place to see, they would take time to look and share their suggestion. For us, with no prepackaged travel plan, this was great. They arranged some of the activities for us and they all turned out great. The food tour is a must with a knowledgeable tour guide. The hotel arranged the entire thing. I would certainly go back.

Amazing stay at this small hotel. Hotel is new and clean. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and hotel provided four fluffy pillows (which is rare because normally it’s just two flat ones). Sometimes we came back to take a break and ended up falling asleep because it was too comfortable. All basic amenities were provided and we also requested for laundry to be done for a fee (50k per kg) and it was done within a day. Location is great with lots of food options!

My recent stay at Marina Hotel was generally satisfying. Its location proved ideal for exploring the Old Quarter on foot, despite some street noise, which is common in this area. While the hotel maintained satisfactory cleanliness with daily room cleaning, our accommodations showed signs of wear, slightly detracting from the experience. The reception staff's fluency in English. Overall, Marina Hotel presents a decent option for visitors to the Old Quarter.

Location is in the center of touristy places, room is big, clean, has balcony. Breakfast is ok, got some public space to sit, many solo travelers. Reception very friendly, polite and helpful.

Reserved here through a hotel ”finding service” at the airport. Rule #1 DON'T DO THIS. Reserve places yourself. They obviously get a kick back. I was charged $50. I checked reviews and found out the hotel was only $20, so I asked to cancel. ”CANNOT CANCEL”. I was assured I'd get the best room at the best rate. They would not change my reservation to a different hotel. Hotel is near the airport. That is surely the only positive about this place. There are about 20 stairs to access the lobby from the street and no hand rail. My room was big and on the 5th floor, #504, with views of the busy highway and truck traffic, and the noise that comes with that. There was no ”decor”, just a bed (with dirty, wrinkled, grey linens), a florescent tube on the wall, a very small television, a battered tiny refrigerator on the floor in one corner, and two folding chairs with a vase of plastic flowers. The room smelled awful. The most identifiable component of the odor was urine. The bathroom was filthy. The grout was black. There was rust on the fixtures in the sink. The ”shower” was a hand held arrangement and there was no curtain. The smell of urine was overwhelming. The toilet paper roll had clearly been dropped into something wet. It was puffed up and wrinkled around one end of the roll. There was nothing else available -- and a phone number nine digitis long didn't work when I called to try to get another roll of TP. The peep hole in the door had a wad of paper stuck in it. I think the apparatus had been installed backward, allowing people outside in the hall to look into the room instead of the other way around. This was the chosen solution to the problem. At 1:30 a.m. there was a very noisy altercation in the hallway outside my room. Bumps and thumps, raised voices, shouting. Maybe even a murder? Sounded like it. The ”all tile” hallways echoed the riotous exchange throughout the entire floor. No sleep after that... I skipped breakfast which was included because everything was so dirty. If I could give this place a zero I would. Without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in after several decades of travel. Stay here at your peril!!
