Hotel con balcone a Cairns

Sono una viaggiatrice da sola. Un Uber dall'aeroporto costa circa 22 dollari e il viaggio dura più di 10 minuti. C'è un grande hotel dall'altra parte della strada. Ho soggiornato al settimo piano e l'ho trovato molto tranquillo. Più tardi, ho incontrato una donna cinese che viveva al quinto piano e mi ha detto che era un po' rumoroso. Tuttavia, potevo sentire chiaramente le persone che camminavano e parlavano nel corridoio. Il molo è molto vicino, con la passerella che porta al piano inferiore. Sono rimasta molto soddisfatta dell'illuminazione del bagno e del volume dell'acqua della doccia. Era molto adatto alle donne che si truccano. Da allora ho soggiornato in hotel a Sydney considerati migliori e più costosi, ma l'illuminazione non era buona come questa. We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

Gilligans è un divertente club che ha attività da fare quotidianamente (tutto quello che include il bere). Abbiamo prenotato la camera più conveniente, che era di parte del club, e questo significava che dovevamo sopportare la musica che stava scoppiando fino alle 3:00 ogni giorno. La cucina non aveva un forno o un frigorifero che ****** per fare il pasto, ma in generale non un posto orribile per rimanere.

Bella e grande hotel in una posizione conveniente. La stanza è grande ma sembra un po ' vuota e non si sente lussuosa. Le strutture della stanza erano mancanti al check-in e non riempiti quotidianamente e sono necessarie per chiederle.

We stayed here in 2024 and loved it so much that we come back this year ! It's situated in a great location, next door to Cairns Central so shopping was literally on our doorstep. The rooms are lovely and clean, there are 3 great swimming pools, and it's a nice walk to the esplanade where you can have a lovely walk into the centre and you'll have a great selection of eateries to choose from. Happy hour is offered by a lot of places, so we personally enjoyed having a drink and watching the sightseeing helicopter land right in front of you and watching the sun set ,it's just the best! It's also a pleasant walk to the Cock and Ball Pub going the other way but make sure you're hungry though because the meals are huge!!

Era la seconda volta che soggiornavo in questo hotel. La prima volta era stata un'esperienza decisamente migliore. A quanto pare dipende tutto dalla camera. Questa volta ci hanno dato la camera 101, all'angolo dell'edificio, accanto al cancello d'ingresso e, cosa più importante, vicino a un incrocio. È stato piuttosto rumoroso tutta la notte, con camion e autobus che acceleravano dall'incrocio. Ho chiesto all'addetto alla reception al momento del check-in se potevamo avere una camera diversa e lui ha rifiutato, nonostante ce ne fossero altre disponibili. Non sono riuscito a capire bene il motivo. Comunque, questa camera ha anche un condizionatore molto debole ed è un po' più piccola dell'ultima camera che ci hanno dato (la 119). In sostanza, l'hotel è buono, ma l'esperienza potrebbe variare a seconda della camera specifica.

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Have to say the best thing for this hotel is its room size, Huge! And water pressure is good. But pain point is really clear, the WIFI is not working in my room (bad signal), I can only sit in lounge/bar area at the ground floor to get WiFi.

L'hotel è vicino al porto, dietro l'hotel c'è l'unico parco chino e un supermercato a Keynes, e l'altro è una piscina pubblica. La suite dell'hotel è molto buona, la superficie è abbastanza grande, e le cucine e i piatti sono relativamente completi, e sono dotate di lavatrice e secchezza. L'unica carenza dell'hotel è la pulizia per l'igiene e un'altra tassa.

Ho soggiornato all'Hotel Tropiq a metà ottobre 2023 e ho trascorso un buon soggiorno. Lati positivi: ottima posizione con bar nelle vicinanze, ristorante indiano e ristorante britannico. Solo un taxi da $ 20 per il molo/porto turistico o 20 minuti a piedi dalla città. Il personale della reception era super gentile e disponibile. Piacevolmente, la stanza si adattava perfettamente anche alla mia battuta di pesca in solitaria. Aspetti negativi: l'Hotel Tropiq era molto semplice/ghetto con una disposizione particolare delle camere. I letti erano su rulli ed era difficile dormire. Finestre e porte scorrevoli erano molto dubbie. Nessuna zanzariera su una finestra! Era certamente uno stile di alloggio economico. In futuro alloggerò in un posto più carino se la mia ragazza si unirà a me
