Hotel con balcone a Cairns

Posizione molto comoda per esplorare Cairns e fare gite in barca. Molti ristoranti e il porto sono raggiungibili a piedi. Il personale della hall è disponibile e cordiale per informazioni di base e per la gestione dei bagagli. Questo è il nostro secondo soggiorno al Benson.

Nice room with own bathroom and shower. The pillow was like a brick, but otherwise great bunks! Huge and beautiful pool area. The club was also super nice. Nice and clean kitchen areas, multiple of them in the hostel (one in every level) so they weren’t too busy. Customer service was also amazing. Totally recommend!

We stayed here in 2024 and loved it so much that we come back this year ! It's situated in a great location, next door to Cairns Central so shopping was literally on our doorstep. The rooms are lovely and clean, there are 3 great swimming pools, and it's a nice walk to the esplanade where you can have a lovely walk into the centre and you'll have a great selection of eateries to choose from. Happy hour is offered by a lot of places, so we personally enjoyed having a drink and watching the sightseeing helicopter land right in front of you and watching the sun set ,it's just the best! It's also a pleasant walk to the Cock and Ball Pub going the other way but make sure you're hungry though because the meals are huge!!

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Purtroppo la piscina era in manutenzione e non abbiamo potuto usarla, ma la posizione era da 10/10. Così vicino alla passeggiata e a tutti i servizi che Cairns ha da offrire. La camera era ok, essenziale ma pulita e piacevole da tornare dopo un'intera giornata di esplorazione. Avevamo una camera familiare con accesso alla terrazza, molto bella e perfetta per far giocare i bambini.

Esperienza contrastante: ottima posizione, internet scadente e colazione inadeguata L'hotel gode di un'ottima posizione e la camera era pulita, spaziosa e confortevole. Servizi come il parcheggio e gli ascensori erano ben tenuti e all'altezza delle aspettative. Tuttavia, per noi viaggiatori d'affari, la connessione internet è stata una grande delusione. L'hotel sembra affidarsi a un sistema hotspot, estremamente inaffidabile: velocità ridotte e continue disconnessioni per tutto il fine settimana. Servizi di streaming come Netflix erano inutilizzabili e persino la navigazione di base risultava frustrante. Come se non bastasse, il telecomando aveva le batterie quasi scariche e funzionava a intermittenza. Siamo rimasti delusi anche dal riposo e dalla colazione. Dopo esserci alzati presto ogni giorno, speravamo in un po' di tranquillità nel pomeriggio, ma è stato difficile godersela visti gli altri problemi. La formula per la colazione del fine settimana ci è sembrata ingannevole. Invece di una colazione in hotel, abbiamo ricevuto un buono da 20 dollari a persona da spendere in un bar nelle vicinanze. Sebbene il bar fosse piacevole, apriva solo alle 7:30 nei fine settimana, il che non è l'ideale quando si inizia a lavorare tra le 6:30 e le 7:00. E, realisticamente, 20 dollari non bastano nella maggior parte dei bar al giorno d'oggi, quindi sembrava più una soluzione di ripiego per risparmiare che una vera e propria offerta per la colazione. Nota positiva: Clara alla reception sabato è stata professionale e gentile, ha fatto del suo meglio per aiutarci, anche se purtroppo non poteva fare molto. Sembrava che il suo responsabile fosse presente ma abbia evitato di intervenire, il che è stato deludente vista la situazione.

L'hotel era a circa 12 minuti a piedi dal centro città. Non male, ma può essere faticoso andare e tornare. Molto vicino al Muddy's Playground and Cafe. I servizi erano essenziali, le camere pulite e spaziose. Buona pressione dell'acqua. Comodo avere un ristorante cinese in loco.

The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

Buono valore per soldi.Quando si prenota, si deve controllare prima se si ottiene una stanza con vista al giardino o al corridoio senza vista esterna. Bella piscina sono con sentimenti palme tropicali. Molto amichevole personale
