Hotel in zona Monument to Bakhytzhan Baikadamov, Almaty

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Pool not big but enough good, sauna just separate in mans and womans changing rooms.

You are trying to find a descent hotel from the international brand just to have nice accommodation during 3 week business trip. You need just a place to have a rest and comfortable enough to refresh after a working day. Well, look for some different hotel. Tree days I spent here and I was not able to normally sleep not even one night...First night - diesel power generator started to work at 5:30 in the morning. And it is placed right near the hotel under your windows! Second night - I have enjoyed a full scale of street racing sounds from the nearest street because the balcony door is not able to be fully closed and leaves a small gap. Third night - same generator started to work at 11 p.m. and hotel lost its power. 5 star hotel in the biggest city of Kazakhstan...for crying out loud. I need to spend here 17 more nights and I am scared. Earplugs is not an option with the level of noise. Rooms are good enough, but carpet is dirty. Food is good but pricey and the only nice thing is the lobby of the hotel. Overall - newer ever again in my life! Only outside of the Almaty hotels and 3 stars tops. At least you will expect problems I am having now...

L'hotel è situato nella zona di villa sotto la montagna di Tobe Kok a sud di Almatu. Non ci sono molte camere, ma ogni area è grande e le strutture sono buone.Ci sono cuochi cinesi, forniscono buffet per pranzo e cena, e possono anche essere singole. Camminare 20 punti fino alla cima della montagna (circa 1.3km) c'è un ristorante molto buono, tra cui Abay ha un ristorante kazakiano, e sedili esterni possono vedere il paesaggio di Almatu, e la performance di notte, e devono essere prenotate in anticipo. Il personale dell'hotel può portare spari, cavalcare, pescare e altre attività, e richiedere un pagamento aggiuntivo.Può anche spedire un aereo gratuito. We recently had a stay at this Swissotel. Given the reputation of the brand, our expectations were naturally set high. However, the reality of our experience fell significantly short of those anticipations. 1. Check-in Procedure: Even with online check-in we were subjected to a 30-minute wait. One of our pre-booked rooms was not ready at the time of arrival. 2. Room's Condition: - A glaring lapse in cleanliness was evident with the state of the bathroom floor near its entrance (photo attached). - The bathroom door's sliding mechanism was faulty and highly inconvenient. - The overall condition of the bathroom indicated it's due for an overhaul and repairs (photos attached). - The discovery of a used ear swab under the table raised significant concerns about the room's preparation and cleanliness (photo attached). - A faulty power outlet in the bathroom added to the growing list of maintenance concerns (photo attached). - The discovery of a dead insect in the drapes clearly points to a continuous lack of attention to detail with the cleaning staff (photo attached). 3. Birthday Cake: Our agreement for a pre-arranged complimentary birthday cake was not only overlooked but was also delivered a day later than promised, despite having multiple conversations and providing evidence of our prior agreement (via the official hotel WhatsApp). 4. Water Bottle Replenishment: The consistent oversight in providing an essential like water, despite multiple request channels, was surprising. The water had to be fetched from the cleaning staff, we had to chase them and ask. None of the other channels, like the official app or the reception, fulfilled our request for the water delivery. 5. Dining: Our anticipation of an à la carte menu was countered by a buffet offering. Being told this was due to hotel occupancy levels feeling unsatisfactory. This went on for both evenings spent at the hotel. Portions of the a la carte menu were available only for room service. 6. Buffet Food Quality: The limited options, particularly for main courses (3), left much to be desired. Our experience with the freshly prepared pasta was particularly disappointing. It was watery, bland, disgusting. You could get better pasta at an office canteen. We have travelled quite a big part of the world and this buffet was easily the worst we have ever had. Both taste and variety were not worth the price. And we were forced into it by being denied the a la carte option. The hotel is above capacity - great, but we paid for the same service as if it weren't, right? Not OUR problem. 7. Breakfast Experience: The overall offering was lackluster. The variety was uninspiring, especially when compared to even basic 3-star hotels. Stale pastry (croissant from the day before) at a 5* hotel is inexcusable - these are absolute basics. Staff appeared overwhelmed, often forgetting to replenish food and drinks (had to be reminded many times) and struggling to manage guest numbers. Only 2 juice options fo

Ho avuto un'ora di tempo tra il mio volo da Dubai a Atyrau e stavo davvero cercando un hotel vicino all'aeroporto che era conveniente e ragionevolmente costoso. Grand Hotel Erbil è entrambi. Ho fatto la prenotazione online con l'opzione di pagare all'arrivo. La prenotazione ha previsto un pick-up gratuito di navetta dall'aeroporto e un trasferimento molto ragionevole indietro la mattina seguente. L'hotel ha confermato tutto da Whatsapp. Pagamento senza contatto. Camera pulita. Lenzuola pulita. Servizio amichevole ed efficiente. Ho ordinato un semplice hamburger e chip via WhatsApp e il cibo è arrivato caldo e fresco. Minimini è completamente immagazzinato e ragionevolmente prezzi. Il loro menu è esteso (55 pagine di libro) e si occupano di tutto, da una tazza di ummus a piatti di carne, torte, cocktail, ecc. Per un viaggiatore, questo hotel vale bene. Grazie, Grand Hotel Erbil!
